Hotel is beautiful. We had a great stay. Staff very warm and friendly. Downside foyer while lovely decorated (this is the only place you can sit & have a drink, except resturant or your room) was freezing cold. Really poor door design. Each time someone went out/came in the cold blew through the whole floor. It was uncomfortable cold to sit & have a vino. Wear your ski gear 😃 New years they promoted a GALA it cost €150 per adult and €50 per child. It was not a gala, it was just a dinner, nothing exceptional in terms of atmosphere and very very poor value for what you got. Overall food is good, breakfast great and resturant is lovely atmosphere & vista.

Rating: 1/5 Dirty rooms, zero service, and insulting prices. Do not be fooled by the "4-star" rating. This establishment is effectively a self-service hostel charging 5-star luxury rates. Rates are roughly €600/night during Christmas time and what we got was disgraceful. Filthy & Neglected • Hygiene: We arrived to find someone else’s used pacifier under the bed. • No Housekeeping: We stayed for 7 days. We left dirty towels on the floor every day. They were never changed. • Lazy Service: Because they are too cheap to put phones in the rooms, I had to walk down to reception to beg for clean towels at 8 PM. I was told housekeeping had gone home, and the receptionist just handed me two loose towels over the counter. Non-Existent Amenities • No lift, no porters: You lug your own bags up the stairs. • The "Lobby Bar": It is insulting to call this a hotel bar. It is a cafeteria. You order at a counter, get a buzzing pager like you're at a fast-food court, and pick up your own food. The menu? Chicken nuggets, french fries, and two sad salads. That is the extent of their culinary effort for €600 a night. • Reception: Useless for anything other than calling a taxi. The Reality The only reason this place survives is the location—ski-in/ski-out on the hill with a nice view. They know the location sells itself, so they have stopped trying completely. They are taking advantage of tourists who don't know better. Verdict: This is price gouging, pure and simple. A 15 sq meter room with trash under the bed and self-service food is not a hotel experience. Shameful.

Was here in December 2025 and just wanted to pass on my thoughts on the place . We were here with 4 adults and 3 children with Sunway and the entire visit was amazing. The hotel is very well maintained and service was excellent rooms beautiful and bed's very comfy and the in room sauna was excellent. Just wanted to mention our Elves Jingle and Sunny who were amazing to deal with and interact with which considering they were 121 years old. Good bye Santa and Lapland.

The hotel lobby was so nice, better than we expected, super cozy and beautiful. I was very disappointed, I chose a room with a fireplace. There was no wood, and when we went to ask about it at the reception, we felt like criminals, as the person in the reception kept repeating "for safety you can't light it up, it's not possible", but we felt so judged by the way she looked at us. I wish there was a disclaimer when you get the room saying that the fireplace isn't made to be lit. I chose that room because of the fireplace. I don't understand why lighting a fireplace is threatening, specially because there was a fireplace in the lobby. |We were amazed by the beautiful view from the restaurant. The room was comfortable, but our bed was not comfortable at all. Our friends staying in another room said their bed was very good. Well, besides Marcelo, and a few exceptions, the restaurant staff was not friendly and not nice at all. I wrote a review on the restaurant, because we even walked away when tried to go dining there. The room was fine but one day we put a don't disturb sign ONLY in the morning and when we came back to the room, no one had made it up. Our friends also didn't have their room cleaned one day. Also, there's a local music in the hallway lobby and sauna, that's a very irritating music (everyone in my group said the same thing). Some of the people in reception couldn't be more unfriendly, but there was one person working on a night shift (with the blue hair but unfortunately I don't know her name) and she was as friendly as one may be, super sweet! I would come back to this hotel because it's nice, but the staff could be much nicer and more appreciative of the guests.

This hotel disappointed. It advertises that the ski resort is right outside, which is true, but you have to walk all the way down the hill (the hotel is on the top) to get to the equipment rental. Breakfast was high quality but I expected bigger selection, especially after reading the good reviews. The hotel lobby is a nightmare to sit in because it's very cold, and everytime someone enters the lobby a freezing winds come from outside. Also, there are no shuttles or buses near the hotel so we had to order Uber everywhere which was very expensive. Sauna in room is nice and the location in the middle of the forest feels special.

My wife and I got the sauna hotel room. And it was manifico 🤌. The snow covered flauna and the panoramic view at the restraunt was absolutely magical. It came with a free breakfast and it was much nicer than your run of the mill hotel breakfasts. The staff was super friendly and helpful and I hope to visit again!

Just visited with my husband and son for the final night of our Lapland trip. We experienced a warm welcome, a very clean and cosy room. Sauna in room is a lovely touch after being in the cold all day. UK plug adaptor was provided without question/ deposit etc.|Restaurant is fine dining but casual attire and was delicious (separate restaurant review) breakfast had continental, cooked, an omelette station and all executed in fresh Finnish produce, with their own specialty porridge. |Again we had a delicious lunch in the downstairs bistro before departing to the airport -smoked salmon salad and chicken and chips were fresh, delicious and great portions.|Cost wise the stay was expensive, but Lapland is during high season. We booked to go skiing on the morning before our departure and it was well worth it -our skiing with hire, pass and a 90min lesson plus accommodation for 3 cost the same as one night’s stay in lots of the other hotels. The chair lift is steps away. We did taxi down to the ski centre as we needed to be ready before the lift started and it was too icy to walk down for us, then took the lift back up to depart. Worked out perfectly.

This place is just a massive scam. The rooms are incredibly pricy and offers no gym, no common working area or anything like that. But the real problem is how they take 0 accountability on the services they offer. My wife just got scammed 200euros on a tour she booked, and nobody went to pick her or told her the instructions to attend the pickup. She just waited for 35 minutes in the lobby. At least have the dignity to return the money , not just stealing outright . Yeah , will not ever come back and will dissuade anyone to come here.

If you're in the Lapland region, do not miss this restaurant. I booked this restaurant for an anniversary dinner through a travel company so our menu was already set. To start, we had a carrot soup and reindeer tartare (which I promise is much better than it sounds when you think about possibly eating Rudolph). Both options were delicious and if we could have licked the plate, we would have. Our server also brought out complimentary sparkling blueberry wine and homemade bread. The bread is out of this world and was gone from our table in a matter of minutes. Our entree' was a seared cod with cauliflower mash which was even better than the starters, if that's even possible. Our dessert was a blueberry gelato with merengue. Now, the food was incredible but the location is what just puts this place over the edge. Located a little outside of the city center, this restaurant can be incredible for catching a glimpse of the northern lights. Following our wonderful candlelit dinner, we made our way up to the hotel roof where you can see all of Rovaniemi and hope that the lights will come out. Though it was cloudy when we first went up, the clouds cleared up and we got the most incredible show of lights. The staff brought us hot blueberry juice in traditional Finnish wooden mugs so that we could enjoy it while we sat upstairs enjoying the lights. (Bonus, we got to keep the cups!) As soon as the lights were covered back up by clouds, magic happened and snow started to fall. You may not get this same experience considering it's all up to the weather. But if you're in this region, you're doing yourself a disservice by not visiting. I will happily be back as soon as I can just for the food!
