We stayed overnight in Tampere after a long cycling trip to unwind. Lapland hotels are often my choice for a staycation / mini vacation in Finland, as they aim for high quality and good customer experience. This time was no exception.||We asked for a silent room and got a nice room on the 7th floor, with a sauna (as booked). As it turned out, this room type (Northern deluxe sauna) is also a family room with a connecting door option (obviously otherwise locked) to the next room, and that connecting door is not sound proof. After listening to some long phone calls from next door, I decided to ask the receptionist if there was anything they could do. They were happy to help and we got a silent room on the same floor, no sounds whatsoever (the Northern deluxe room type, if you were wondering, so no sauna, but there are hotel saunas on the 8th floor for everyone to use).||The hotel restaurant was excellent for dinner (we took it to the room for a tv dinner). And the breakfast was perfect, containing everything we wanted with great execution.||By the way, the iPhone screen mirroring worked with the room’s flat screen tv with no hassle whatsoever, something I’ve learned to appreciate as it seems to be impossible for some hotels to get working (however, this will not work in all the rooms apparently, so confirm before, or book a deluxe room, if this is important for you, too).||All in all this could have been a stressful visit (because of the noise) if not for the great service. Now we’re sure to book again and warmly recommend Lapland hotels Tampere for everyone.
