We had a great time at Lappi Ravintola. Our waitress was very friendly, kind, attentive and helpful. The food was amazing! The Salmon Souo was beyond anything I could image!! We also loved the reindeer! Definitely the best reindeer we had in Finland. The salmon was delicious too. We had the vodka with cranberry juice from the house and it was delicious: refreshing and not too sweet. We’ll remember this dinner for a long long time.

Prior to going to Helsinki, I researched some restaurants, so we had planned to come here. It is a quirky little place and amazing inside, unforutnately, I lost most of the photos I took. However it was great, the service was great with the staff dressed in traditional outfits. There is a wealth of history packed into the decor. It is just a fabulous little gem. I had the vegetarian dish - With Crumbed lappish farm cheese and carrot sauce, deep fried carrot and zucchini. This was full of flavour and the best vegetarian dish I've ever had. My husband had the sauteed reindeer with mash and lingonberries. The lingonberry - this made us laugh, our first introduction to lingonberries and thereafter that is all we ever saw on menus. Try it.

Delightful all around. Friendly people in a traditional ambience. Food was outstanding with traditional fare of salmon soup for starters which was delicious and main course of reindeer @ lingonberries over mashed. highly recommend for an authentic meal! and make a reservation.

First time trying Finnish food and we got to enjoy their 30th-anniversary menu. The dishes were thoughtfully prepared, and the interior felt warm and welcoming. A nice experience overall.

Proper traditional finnish cuisine, right-sized menu and kind staff. Tasty dishes, abundant portions and clear prices make it all a super positive experience. Well-suited for friends gathering or for business dinner, in a very central location. Definitely recommended as one of the best sposts in Helsinki!

So I have one night in Helsinki and walked 20mins to this restaurant and was told no seating available….too bad I have so many pictures of empty single top tables…. 🫠 Don’t support restaurants regardless of reputation if they blatantly do this to tourist.

You can try Finnish food over here. They have moose and reindeer meat. The food was nice, we had the vegetarian lasagna and the moose and reindeer meat. The staff is also helpful. However, it was not that special and kinda expensive for what you get. I would recommend to make a reservation before you go, most of the times it is full.

If you've never eaten reindeer, this is your chance to try one of the best preparations of this meat in the city. The entire selection of dishes is exquisite and of the highest quality. It's definitely the best place to try the most traditional food in Helsinki. If I return to the city, I'll definitely return to this restaurant. Its atmosphere takes you back to the most traditional parts of the past and to the north of Finland.
