An absolute gem in the heart of Helsinki! Delicious food and amazing service 😀 We landed and straight up went to this place as we were very hungry. We were given the best seat in the restaurant! The interior looks so cozy and traditional: captures the Finn aesthetic very well. Great place for newcomers to this country! 💯 The service was LOVELY and it’s great that the menu isn’t massive either. They all speak English there and we had the English menu as well 🫶 The bread and butter that came before the food was a really good way to leap into Finnish cuisine. I LOVE rye bread and this is exactly what I needed! We went with the salad as the starter which surprised us as to HOW DELICIOUS IT WAS. Next came our fish mains and they were cooked really well. Lots of warm flavours came out. The desserts were again very worthwhile. Absolutely recommend the Lapland Farmer cheese dessert! Please GO HERE as they serve traditional Finn food 😍 My husband and I shall be back!

One of the best restaurants I have been lately. Food is excellent, not too many choices, but all are great (only reindeer and fish). The stuff is extremely kind and welcoming. The whole restaurant is with very rustic and authentic stile. Highly recommended when in Helsinki.

A nicely themed restaurant aimed at tourists. Kids would love the decor. Really let down by the food which I was surprised about. Wouldn’t return. Sad I spent €50 here. Starter: Salmon soup was nice although I wasn’t a big fan of the large potato chunks and small black berries (not sure what they were). Main: Original sautéed reindeer was really bad. Looked like dodgy kebab meat. Under the meat was a large puddle of what looked like water (which spoiled the dish). Mash was smooth at least. Dessert: Main dish put me off food! Sides: Needs a new bread supplier. Not very good. But at least it was complementary Service: My waitress was friendly and attentive. Service was very fast.

Really good food with nice vibes. Starter to share is very good, giving you a range of classic dishes, it says it’s for two but you can definitely stretch it for three. Salmon potato soup is very savory and a great introduction to Finnish food. Reindeer is surprisingly very good, not as gamey as imagined.

Authentic Finnish food. We Came here purely based on the trip advisor reviews which I’m glad to say were spot on. We booked earlier in the day and we got the last table. They are very busy on weekends so book early. The staff greeted us with a warm welcome and we had a great table by the window. I had the vodka aperitif with cranberries , excellent Finnish vodka. Then I had sautéed reindeer , my friend had another reindeer dish. Both were fantastic, so tasty and cooked really well. We were served by Sergei who looked after us all night , we really appreciated how great he was. Thank you Sergei!

It's definitely worth all 5 stars for this restaurant. The service, the ambience, and the food were amazing. This was our last night in Finland, and it made everything perfect. Would highly recommend the restaurant to everyone.

Lappi is a very nice touristic restaurant. If you’re coming from middle Europe you feel like being in a different world, but it’s nice - very nice. The Service is dressed in traditional dresses and the food is amazing. My friend and I shared the mixed platter for two. Moose filet and Reindeer Sausage. Very special and very tasty! The meat is served with vegetables and two little potato tarts. The service was super nice. It’s a worth experience in Helsinki! ☺️

I had the traditional salmon soup as the starter and Original Sautéed Reindeer as the main course with Kaski savulager Pullo (smoky beer). It was started with a good reception and continued with duly service and hospitality. The soup was perfect. The main course was amazing and big enough for a hungry person to feel full. On top of all the atmosphere and the prices were reasonable and increased the joy of eating in this restaurant. Highly recommended and I will return.
