"If I could gatekeep this spot forever, I would. Truly addicted to the thrill of digging through their designer pieces. Best vintage spot in the lower east side." - Coolstuff Team

Quality has really gone down lately. Bought JPG sunglasses ($$$) here and they turned out to be fake… Heard similar stories from other people where they tried to resell sunglasses from here and authenticators told them they were fake. A lot of clothes look bad on the racks too (pilling, stretched, etc)

Four stars for selection, minus three for rude staff. Wanted to buy something but they were so unpleasant about it I wouldn’t take it for free

Ready yourself for the best shopping experience in your life. You will be served nothing but rudeness and entitlement, because being a bully is the look. Work, diva! I asked about a seemingly occupied fitting room (curtain closed), the white girl working there just stared at me, shrugged, and immediately burst into laughter when I entered 🤷🏻‍♂️ And when I asked I could try on a skirt, she wrap it around my neck and said “NO. It won’t fit you.” Doing that with no consent in front of everyone in the store is very… Julia? if you’re not being mean in 2024 are you even being lean? 5 stars but I ate four.

I bought a vintage dress here. It pilled and ripped as soon as I steamed it to wear it for the first time. I paid 300+ dollars for it. I reached out to the store to ask about warranty or potential refund opportunities, but the store said that once the clothing leaves the store, it's final sale. I wish such a final sale policy was better advertised. Updated review: The person running the instagram account for this store DMed me in an unprofessional manner. Please see attached.

This is my favorite store in New York City. I lived here for 12 years, and have always been a fan of in-person shopping for one of a kind pieces. Since moving upstate 3 years ago, I've noticed that the options for quality brick and mortar fashion experiences in NYC have eroded considerably, especially when it comes to menswear. Not the case with Lara Koleji! Every time I pop in, the staff is incredibly friendly, helpful, and knowledgable, with excellent tips on fit, alteration, and history of their mint condition vintage garments. I got a Helmut Lang suit from the nineties that may as well have come off the rack, at an unbeatable price to boot. Their selection of women's clothing is even more extensive, and their vision for curating the best of the best in vintage is truly unparalleled. Plus I can always trust I'm getting authentic designer products at a fair and competitive price point. When I come through New York, this is the first store I check out, and the last place I do a final sweep, and I'm always sure to find something perfect. Wish I could give it 6 stars out of 5!

amazing curation of pieces, well organized very clean store and calm environment. needed so much help with a birthday outfit and got very caring, active, tailored assistance. was shown pieces from my favorite designers (yamamoto, margiela) and diverse pieces that could introduce me to more experimental style. was actively cared for as a customer and person.

Yelp
The absolute worst people working here. I have never experienced the amount of rudeness and un friendly behavior from any store in NY and Brooklyn. They closed the store 13 mins before closing and we had to beg them to let us see a shirt in the window. They made us feel un welcome and un wanted. Every time I have come in here the entire staff acts like they are miserable. Really unfortunate since I think you have great vintage pieces but I can't find myself to go back in the store with that kind of negative nervy coming from the store workers. I have shopped here and purchased items every time we have come in so to be treated like this really is sad and I don't want to give business here anymore. I hope you improve your staff!
