Location: Very well located to reach points of attraction AND to stay in a quite neighbourhood away from traffic and tourism paths. The hotel is located about 5min walk from the first point of attraction (visible from the roof top terrace) and 15min walking from Rajastan square,||Rooms: Clean, spacy with enough space to store luggage and cloths for a couple of days. For those who are sensitive because of light in the morning, sleeping mask should be part of your luggage. Check the fridge before putting in staff. We did it without check and got frozen apples and frozen joghurt.... very nice in hot times but a little bit unexpected. Bathroom is fine. Be aware that you are in a friendly hotel in Samarkand and not in a 5-star chain hotel. ||Service: Warm, friendly and customer minded. Obviously, a part from the owner there are always at least two young gentlemen per shift attending guests. Some are more fluent in English than others but always firming up a good team and be very responsive. We talked a lot with them and learned much about students live, geography and received helpful tips for discovering Samarkand.||Tipp: We did a trip to Shahrisabz. One of the gentlemen organized a car with a driver which was a little bit cheaper than the one via "TAXI OK". Sharisabz is two hours drive away. You need not more than 3 hours on site to explore all spots. Definately a place to go also because of the ride crossing the mountains.||Food: Breakfast was delicious. Various home-made plates. Of course, you can get standard continental breakfast. We are not fond of that and prefer the local options with local taste, flavor and combination of spieces. Tee is always available. In the morning and during the day/ evening also on the roof top terrace.||So, no complains. Lovely place with family touch.

Terrific location - I walked to all significant site in Samarkand. Room was very clean. The two men who worked in the reception area were professional, fRiendly and cared about my experience. I spent 3 nights here. They communicated with me fast and efficiently from the time i made my booking. They arranged airport transfers that were reliable, on time and reasonably priced. My Room was quiet. The AC worked perfectly (it was very hot outside). Breakfast was excellent. Eggs. Fresh breads. Fruits. Really a hearty meal in the courtyard garden area. Highly recommend.

I don't quite a bit of traveling and this has to be one of the worst hotel experiences I've ever had. I booked a room with 2 twin beds and it was awful. The bed itself was decent but that was the best part of the whole stay. Don't be fooled by the pretty pictures the hotel has a beautiful courtyard and it's very inviting but the rooms are anything but. The rooms are very small and just terrible outdated decor. The bathroom in the room was the absolute worst disgustingly old and outdated, terrible water pressure and very bad shower head that was with visible mold. They don't clean as I saw the same stains in the toilet... sorry to the reader. The towels are actually sandpaper and will shave your skin clean off beware. Do not stay here they don't deserve the business when they put such little care into thr facilities. Nice staff but that's not a good reason for booking a hotel. Breakfast was 5/10.

Ticks all the boxes and goes above and beyond. The property is located at a walking distance from the touristy areas, and yet is quiet and peaceful. We absolutely loved everything about it. The breakfast spread is hearty and fresh. The rooms are spacious. An often overlooked bit of the hotel is the terrace, please check that out. Will definitely recommend the property.||They also packed breakfast boxes for us on the day of our early check-out.

Disaster waiting to happen! We recommended this place to others and even came back. What a disaster! Lucky not to have ended up in hospital. The location is good, that rooms are small with no view is one thing but the small bathrooms with the oversized bath tubs (apparently all of them have one) with water leaks combine to make this a disaster waiting to happen. For the less athletic or older folks who may be tempted to stay here you should take note. My bathroom was full of water had to twice dry it with multiple towels; I slipped but was lucky, very lucky! Other rooms also had signs of leak. The so called “general manageress” of this tiny hotel is a disgrace compared to other staff who are pretty decent. Her response to my one complain about the incident was basically take it or leave immediately - never mind the serious health and safety incident. She really lacks any experience of a basic hotel and makes matters worse by her attitude. Puts the Samarkand: Uzbek hospitality to shame. Had this been the US or similar, she would be taken to task.

Such a charming hotel. Only a short walk from Amir Timur Mausoleum, which is also visible from the rooftop terrace, the location is very convenient. The service was also excellent. My favourite thing was the courtyard. It’s the perfect spot to relax before a day of exploring the city.

Location is top notch as it's walkable to most of the attractions you must visit. Also, it's not far from all the shops and restaurants. The hotel itself is clean, comfortable and well reserved. It actually looks nicer than the photo in my opinion. The bed is ok and aircon is cold enough. There's also hot water even in spring. The staffs are superb polite, friendly and helpful. For breakfast, it's local style with many options to choose from. Tastes good.

L’Argamak is a gem in the heart of Samarkand. The rooftop views are stunning, the location is perfect for exploring the city, and the rooms are beautifully designed with authentic charm. The service is top-notch — warm, attentive, and professional. Highly recommend for a comfortable and memorable stay!
