Larkhill Tipis and Yurts

Fran and Tony have created a very special place and are brilliant hosts. We stayed for two nights in the Mongolian Ger. It was spotlessly clean, and the log burner was wonderful on the damp evenings. The log cabin is very well equipped. Both composting and flushing toilets are available, and showers are excellent. The surroundings are beautiful with the woodland areas and artistic installations clearly a labour of love. It’s off-grid, but perhaps surprisingly has good mobile signal.

We stayed here for 3 days and had an amazing time. My kids didn’t want to leave and have told me I must book this again next year! Fran who owns the property was very welcoming and lovely. It’s so nice to be off grid for a while. It’s such a safe place for the kids. I can’t speak highly enough about this place. Thank you again and we will be back soon!

Can't rave about this place enough. Highly reccomended location to escape to. I've been visiting Larkhill on off for over a decade. I had a 5 year gap due to having children and returned last year to warm and friendly hosts that to my surprise remembered me which was lovely. I hope to return next year with my 2 children so they too can experience the magic. Thank you !

We had an amazing stay in this beautiful Tipi tent! It was incredibly cozy and unique, offering the perfect blend of comfort and nature. The host was exceptionally friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. The atmosphere was so peaceful, and being surrounded by nature made the experience truly special. It’s the perfect escape for anyone looking to unwind and reconnect with the outdoors. Larkhill is a truly magical place! I booked the bentwood yurt for my birthday and the rest of my family liked the look of Larkhill so much they booked the tipi and lavvu too. We had a wonderful time sitting around the campfire making paella and roasting marshmallows. We can't wait to go back next year!

We loved our stay here as a family of four (2 adults and 2 children aged 5 and 3). The accommodation was beautifully cosy and the woodland location was really special - so much wildlife, and the kids loved exploring. It felt very safe and welcoming - one of our favourite family getaways, and we will certainly be coming back.

We had an incredible stay here in the Mongolian ger. The entire area is awe-inspiring and very kid-friendly, with lots of things to explore and discover. Plenty of really thoughtful touches and amazing attention to detail that's accumulated over the years. The host Catherine was extremely friendly and accommodating, and even introduced us to the baby goats despite a busy day on the farm. It's a truly magical place and highly recommended for a unique holiday.

What a great place for a holiday with a difference. I went there with my boyfriend for his birthday and it was fantastic. We stayed in a tipi and cooked on open fires at night. Baskets of cut wood are provided, as well as fresh free range eggs from there chickens and ducks every morning. Next time I want to stay in one of the yurts. Beautiful setting and they are very eco friendly and power alot of things from their wind turbines and solar panels. Great for families, couples and young people
