I’m new to the neighborhood and a friend introduced me to this place. It was so delicious I had to come back the following day for more! The manager Chiara provided excellent service, helping out the staff during a busy lunch hour. I highly recommend ordering the Mista salad & Ravioli (Porcini Stuffed) absolutely to die for! P.S. ask the bartender Matthew to make you his specialty spicy margarita! Your welcome!

Lovely dinner. The place is both a high end deli and sit down restaurant. The cod I had was outstanding: crispy on the outside, moist inside. Reasonable prices.

We were looking forward to dining at LaRosa's as the menu was very interesting. The food was excellent with fresh ingredients both common and exotic. The plate presentation was lovely. The greeter however met us without a smile and walked us to the entryway dining area to a table by the door on a frigid night. We're in our late 70s so it was coat on for me for most of the dinner. I thought that happened because we had not made reservations, but when leaving I checked the main dining area and saw available tables. So my suggestion is ... make a reservation and be sure to arrange ahead of time for a table away from the entry room.

I have come here a few times, but their 3:30-4:00pm of no sitting at tables is awkward. They don't have those hours posted anywhere, and they intentionally make you feel awkward. Waiter didn't properly box up my wife's take home and it leaked in our new car. I have used them for catering, taking my wife and other business, but it's getting old. I have to tell my associates their are other restaurants that are more classy. This place just pretends to be. The manager needs to be replaced.

Best quick bite spot around the town of Andover. Amazing chicken parmesan sandwiches ! Highly recommend the cheesecakes that are to die for!!! They have these adorable small bottles of espresso martinis and sunset boulevard drinks, see pics below! Service is great! Menu has a wide variety of options from sandwiches, salad, and different assortments of pastries. Grab the cookie dough cheesecake and be prepared for the best tasting cheesecake you’ve ever tasted! The restaurant is very clean, high end aesthetic. They also sell items for takeaway and take orders for large events.

Third time there. Had a great Valentine’s meal last night! Burrata was amazing, and excellent mocktails.

I ordered a mocha latte with coconut milk (i am lactose intolerant) and it seems like the barista cleaned the milk wand incorrectly or not at all because i had to take medicine like 5 minutes after i took a couple of sips from my coffee. It was lovely service and the cashier was very nice but unfortunately I didn’t have a very good experience.

LaRosa’s Andover catered a family memorial event for us, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. From the start, Chiara took care of everything with such attention to detail, making sure we had exactly what we needed. The food was incredible, fresh, flavorful, and beautifully put together. The antipasto platters were a standout, with aged cheeses, prosciutto, and marinated vegetables, plus the fig jam and honey added such a nice touch. The vegetarian antipasto was just as delicious, with perfectly grilled vegetables that tasted as good as they looked. The salads were crisp and refreshing, especially the Garbanzo Salad. We have several vegetarians in our group who had more to choose from than we’ve ever seen in a luncheon menu. The sandwiches were a delicious and everyone commented on them. The Tuscan tuna with sundried tomatoes and capers was a great twist on a classic, and the Caprese was fresh and full of flavor. The steak tip sandwich was a favorite, with steak, roasted red peppers, and white cheddar, this was the first to go and I will definitely order double the next time. Everything was just right, from the food to the service, and it made a difficult day a little easier for our family. Chiara and Ella and the whole team went above and beyond, and we’re so grateful for their kindness and professionalism. We’ve had sandwiches for take out before but this experience gave us a new insight into a fantastic new way to enjoy LaRosa’s! Thank you for cooking for us :)

Yelp
Awesome salads and sandwiches! We had a Caesar with grilled chicken, more than large enough for one so we shared it. I had an Italian sandwich, good with Italian meats and added mayo and Italian dressing. Lots of parking but the lots are also under construction so be aware, it might be a short walk.

Yelp
I'm so glad we finally got around to trying this place! I always love the *idea* of a chicken parm sandwich, but since I'm not a big red sauce fan I usually end up getting something else. Imagine my delight at seeing the Drunken Chicken Parm on their menu: Chicken parm made with vodka sauce! This was so good, and I finally felt I got to have the chicken parm experience. Our other item was the Caprese sandwich. They have this as a salad, too, so it was a hard choice but we were very happy with our sandwich. Very fresh and a relatively healthy pick. Service was quick - I placed an order with the very friendly staff and stepped next door for about 10 minutes to take care of other business. The food was ready just a few minutes after I got back despite quite a few customers. The shop is cute and has both outdoor and sidewalk tables. These looked comfortable, but it was take-out for us. Parking was easy in a nearby street space with municipal lots very nearby.

Yelp
LaRosa's is the kinda place where you can choose your own adventure: order at the register and dine in, pick up/ take out, catering, etc. We couldn't decide so we split 2 sandwiches: drunken parm (chicken Parmesan with cheese and VODKA sauce on a brioche bun) and the angry Sicilian (Italian sandwich on thick toasted sandwich bread with fresh mozzarella). Although both were phenomenal, the drunken parm is way more rich and filling- so splitting THIS sandwich was the right move. We skipped their To Go espresso martinis but we'll be back the next time we're in town!

Tyler G.

Yelp
LaRosa's is a very cute and easy place to get lunch at. The food was outstanding and staff were extremely nice. I will have to come back for coffee and breakfast. Prices were good and the vibes were high. Thank you very much!

Janice S.

Yelp
What can I say about LaRosa' except the very best Italian food this side of the North End! I give their meatballs an A++++! They are closest I've ever tasted to my Nonni s. The texture, not overly seasoned with spices or garlic--just right. Try a meatball Parmesan sandwich on a tale bulky roll . Also recommend their eggplant. Either as a main course , or again in an eggplant parm sandwich. If you still have room, make sure you save room for scrumptious desserts. Can't say enough about the friendly and helpful staff.. Ambience is small in intimate dining, 2 dining rooms. Great place meet up with a friend for a bottle of wine, a martini or coffee. Oh don't forget that special anniversary for an intimate romantic dinner date. During the summer one can dine outside on the patio. You'll feel like you're in Italy, not Andover. Manga!!

Hannah C.

Yelp
The food is delicious. It is pricy but you are paying for what you're getting. Good size servings, delicious and fresh food, in a great environment. My favorite is the godfather!

Allison L.

Yelp
Great place for some takeout. Or a somewhat fancy night out. It's part store and restaurant which is nice to have that option. Got some pasta and a salad and it hit the spot for a light dinner. They were generous with the thick bread slices too. Would recommend.

Jim L.

Yelp
Salmon BLT was perfectly cooked and delicious. Convenient pickup. Parking nearby. Online ordering and checkout was simple

Mike C.

Yelp
The sandwich was good and well put together. The flowers of the meat, cheese, veggies and balsamic go so well together. I wish the peppers were hotter but the roasted red peppers were delicious. The bread had a good toast on it but was still soft so the roof of my mouth isn't completely destroyed. Definitely make sure you have plenty of napkins. I would come back for this sangy, and probably try some others.

Amanda L.

Yelp
Great food and great service ; great selection of cocktails; very pretty interior and attentive service; my only complaint was sitting in the window for lunch and it was blazing hot to the point where I felt like I was going to faint - maybe some window tinting might be good for the summer - but that's not a food rinse rice issue. Excellent food

Anna R.

Yelp
Went here for a lovely lunch. We sat in the outdoor courtyard which was a cozy european vibe. My husband got a chicken parm sandwich and I got an eggplant sandwich. Food was pretty good. Mostly liked the courtyard.

Robert K.

Yelp
Food and service was very good. Portions were good size and became another meal. A Go To Place in downtown Andover for a good Italian meal or to get food to go- Desserts were also good

Tom B.

Yelp
The food is excellent and the prices are good. They have a dining area outside on the sidewalk and outside in back that is like a courtyard as well as indoor tables.

Patrick C.

Yelp
Went there the other day with my friends. Food was amazing vibes were immaculate. STEAK SANDWICHHHHHH

Laura W.

Yelp
Awesome place if you're looking for an upscale Italian meal. It's small, but the food and drinks are incredible. Their sister restaurants LaFina and Autograph are also great.

Robbie B.

Yelp
Food was good- but we were told we had to vacate our table after 1 hour and 20 minutes. We are regulars and hostess was pretty rude we felt. Too bad we love the place but left us with bad impression.

Nikk S.

Yelp
Very cute spot. We came here for lunch and got some salads and sandwiches. For lunch, you order at the counter and they bring your food to the table. The vibes here are nice and the tables always have pretty roses on them. The food was very good! I'll be back to try the pasta. They also have takeout where you can order online and pick it up. You can even get alcohol takeout. We got some of their homemade sangria. There is a parking lot nearby with a pay station. I would recommend coming for lunch!

Richard S.

Yelp
I asked for butter for the bread that came out. I mean....butter. In a restaurant. The guy says sorry bro. There was nothing going at that moment... we were the only ones eating at the bar before the dinner crowd showed up. I asked the guy to inquire into the restaurant for some butter for my bread. Comes back, sorry bro...told ya. Am I low class asking for butter for my bread? The old fashioned was fantastic, however. Absolutely fantastic. The rest of the review falls off the cliff... The chicken and veal parm we got for an entree, though, was complete DOGSHIT. Gimme a break! The easiest Italian dish to make and it's over cooked (not tender) and bland sauce. Never coming back here again. Still on the hunt for good italian...open to suggestions!

Jessica T.

Yelp
Please boycott this place. I cringe every time I see it. Even a patron came out and yelled at me when I took a picture of the restaurant to make sure I remember the name. The manager could care less about anything. my mother had died just only two months previous to this happening as well. I would love to send outside this restaurant with a sign that says don't go in!

MacKenzie B.

Yelp
Met a friend for lunch and was pleasantly surprised by how cute and delicious it was here. It was busy on a Friday at lunch but the line went quickly and food came out quickly as well. We got a few sandwiches and wow so good. You order at the counter, find a seat and they bring the food to your table. Easy system and cute decor topped it off. My friend and I are definitely going back.

Judy F.

Yelp
My daughter had a work party catered by LaRosa's and I was lucky enough to have her bring home the leftovers! Even reheated the next day, everything was Fabulous!! We started with the arugula salad, then onto a charcuterie board--both awesome. Then, we reheated the broccolini, asparagus, chicken parm, roasted vegetables, meatballs & vodka penne for 20 minutes at 400 degrees. Everything was spectacular. This place is less than a mile from our house & I can't believe we never tried it. We love it & will be going back soon!

Sierra L.

Yelp
Food was delicious and staff was super polite. I went here for my valentine's day dinner and I had a great experience. My chicken piccata was tasty but it did not have a lot of sauce with it and wasn't very lemony. Similarly, the pasta I got on the side was supposed to have the same sauce on it but it was just buttered plain pasta with no flavor. I will say that the arancini's were absolutely delicious and the rigatoni bianco was amazing. Cannolis were yum too. I would go back to try something else I just wasn't the biggest fan of the chicken piccata.

Lourdes V.

Yelp
Great place for a nice dinner! The veil Milanese was delicious, ordered it with burrata on For dessert I got the cannolis cheesecake it was so good I didn't get the chance to take a picture.

Yelp
My wife and I went last night for an early dinner. It was a our first time eating at LaRosa's. Even though the place wasn't busy we were sat in the middle room next to the only other couple there in very close quarters. It was next to a door, although glass paned, which let in light, it was uncomfortably close to the other table and that door. In addition there was a hand sanitizer station right next to my wife's chair and head. As this was our first time at the restaurant, placing us at, what I would consider one of the worst tables in the house, was not a great start to our evening. Normally, I would ask if there are other tables options, but decided to try it out. Our waitress, who was excellent, promptly greeted us, took our drink orders and delivered our drinks. We then ordered an appetizer, the Burrata with prosciutto. I then went to the restroom to wash my hands and decided that if the appetizer hadn't come when I got back to the table that I would ask for another table. I looked into the room with the bar, which had a number of hightop tables along the wall and in the windows that would have been preferable to where we been placed. There were more people in there and it was little bit livelier. I understand the establishment wants to spread tables over the servers to be fair and not overwhelm them, but for first timers we were underwhelmed. Unfortunately our appetizer had arrived so it would've been too much of a hassle to change tables. Our appetizer, the Buratta was excellent. We ordered our dinner. My wife got the Milanese and I got the Chicken Parmigiana, pretty basic but that's what I felt like. The portions were good sized and hot. I can't tell you how many times I have received food at fine restaurants where the food temperature has been warm at best. This is a sign of good service. This food didn't sit there. They got it right out to us and it was the perfect temperature. Our meals were taste wise ok maybe a little bland. Cheese cake dessert was disappointing, dry and clumpy. Overall: Our server was excellent, the food was a B- that reflects the tastiness and it was expensive, our table a D. After comparing notes when walking to the car we always ask ourselves "Would we go back?" "Would we tell our friends you gotta try this place" Answer: Maybe(which is good because a lot of places we've gone to for the first time are hard NO's for a return)...but not for a long while. We would try something else, food wise and definitely request and recommend a hightop in the bar room and in the window if available, or anywhere except were were placed. At first glance, I really wanted to like this place but first impressions, as a first timer: food taste, table and price, leave a mark so we'll give it a little time and maybe try it again down the road.

Michael J. G.

Yelp
After hearing good things this place served potentially the worst sandwich I have ever had. Ate three bites and threw it away. Overcooked and a small portion.

Em B.

Yelp
Visited the other day, since I'm not from the area I make a special trip to come here because I loved it in the past. Recently I visited and ordered a spaghetti and meatball, and received penne with meatball. It was fine, I'm a fan of their red sauce, but the meatballs weren't cooked as long as they usually do, and it seemed like it wasn't made fresh. I also ordered a chicken parm sub which was decent and wasn't too soggy after the ride home. I asked for extra bread and received 2 pieces, I would have paid for more but it was $30 for the pasta and sandwich. They didn't have the tomato, basil, mozzarella pasta which was disappointing. Very nice interior, staff is nicer than they used to be but the food just didnt hit the spot.

Angela S.

Yelp
Highly recommend! I went here twice before COVID and once again in August and the food and service was incredible every time. I really liked the small, quaint outdoor patio located in the back of the restaurant - really gives you that nice Italian vibe with the exposed brick and hanging lights. For apps - the burrata (with prosciutto and pesto) was extremely fresh and so was the caprese. Any dish with salmon has been perfect - the salmon B.L.T. and salad were both amazing. For dinner, I also recommend the lobster alla vodka (I'm a sucker for a vodka cream sauce). They didn't skimp on the lobster meat which I find happens a lot. My sister is gluten free so it was great that they had GF pasta & bread available for her to enjoy... and she thought her meal was great. The cocktails were also excellent! We went with one of the seasonal specials and then switched to wine, although the drinks did take a while to come out, it won't change my review. Any time I'm in Andover I'll be grabbing food at LaRosa's.

Erika C.

Yelp
This place is the real deal. Such a cool vibe, looks like a little antique style house with a private small brick walled back patio. WE ARE IN. My mom and I decided to try this place out for the first time a few months ago for lunch. They offer a super casual set up where you order at the counter and bring a number out to the table you choose, then staff brings out your food when ready. My mom got the meatball sub and I got a chicken salad wrap special. Everything was fresh and delicious, plus the atmosphere teleports you somewhere else, feeling the vibes. Dinner service is a little different then lunch seeing as it's full waiter service and not counter service, can't wait to be back and try out some of their dinner items and cocktails! Bravo!

Luke S.

Yelp
Excellent Italian spot run by a family that clearly knows how to run a good restaurant. Never had a bad meal here. Versatile menu and cool ambiance.

John P.

Yelp
Consistently great food! Great service, nice menu, and fair prices. A go to place for me and my wife!

Carolyn L.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I love coming here. The pastas are amazing and a good serving and I love the coziness and ambiance of the restaurant, always red roses on the tables haha. We enjoyed the burrata and loved the rigatoni Bianca. I got the carbonara special but it was way too salty for my liking and I couldn't finish it. Besides the carbonara being a little salty, I have enjoyed every dish from La Rosas and will be back again.

Joe L.

Yelp
Meh....went for dinner. Made a Saturday evening reservation for bar and we were sat in the sub shop. Our server was absolutely amazing and the drinks 'Sullied Reputation' and Maine lunch on draft were excellent. Started with cheese plate and baby-backs. On the cheese plate, nothing had any flavor--bland cheeses and no flavor sausages(2 types); parmigiana cheese on a cheese plate was weird. The baby-backs were so soaked with vinegar to the point they were inedible. Entrees we're better: the short ribs on polenta were great, chicken parm was good--although the sauce was overcooked and more like tomato paste. Overall for the price, the food was just mediocre, great drinks and friendly attentive service.

Donald S.

Yelp
Is this where the party is? Apparently I never got the memo. I haven't seen lunch outside the city with this much pedestrian traffic since, well, ever. La Rosa's ticks all the boxes: - Lively casual atmosphere - Ample seating with 2 dining rooms - Adequate parking - Quick, friendly service - Fair prices And most importantly, a creative and very tasty menu. All sandwiches are made to order, further solidifying the already superb. I may be late, but I will surely make up for lost time. LaRosa's may very well be weekly rotation worthy....

Lou P.

Yelp
Little gem of a place. Fun for lunch, great for dinner or a cocktail before moving on to another destination. A must try!!!

Jenny X.

Yelp
Came here on a Friday night and the dining area was completely full but the casual cafe area wasn't so we ordered with not much of a wait and I got the 3 entree combo for $9 with the ceviche, tortellini, and pesto chicken pasta. The pasta comes cold but you can ask the waiters to help oven it up and bake it to a more warm temperature! I really enjoyed the food, it wasn't fancy at all but it definitely was filling and it came a with a really fresh piece of bread! Service: This place has a pretty fast service and they bring out food in under 10 minutes for sure. Ambiance: The cafe area is super super casual and very to-go style though there are places to sit still. Overall, a great place to make a pitstop if you're traveling on the road like us!

Mark S.

Yelp
This is a tough one. Pros: good location, nice looking menu, service better than average for these days. Cons A bit overpriced Parking almost non existent unless you pat Food leaves a lot to be desired as far as taste. While the presentation of the Food is nice, the Salads and Sandwiches are oddly flavorless. Nice packaging but no substance but if your into a bland diet, go for it

Jamie M.

Yelp
I pretty much fell in love with LaRosa's food as soon as I saw how large the portions were and took my first bites. This is great Italian food in a classic yet colonial environment due to the decorations inside being white and symmetrical. Their ingredients are extremely fresh and simple. The price isn't cheap, but the portions make it easy to turn any dish into two meals. This restaurant is usually packed so be open to sitting at high tables or the bar.

Mike H.

Yelp
We're always pleased with the food however the signature drinks, which often sound great, are regularly a disappointment.

Jeremy S.

Yelp
Larosa's is a pretty cool little bar, this is one of the only places open relatively late in downtown Andover. I can't speak to the food but I will say that this place pours some pretty legitimate drinks, martinis in particular... The bar area is pretty small and rather intimate but actually has a really cool vibe to it. The bartenders and waitstaff all do a great job at making sure glasses are full. The menu here consists of a lot of wine, beer and a pretty nice selection of craft cocktails. Overall, a nice spot to relax and throw back a couple of drinks. Pros- Great cocktails Nice wine list Friendly staff Nice bar layout and utilization of space Martinis Cons- Very small Crowded A bit pricey

Rebecca B.

Yelp
Amazing lunch sandwiches. I didn't get the chance to sit down and eat, but the ambiance looks very inviting.

Amy V.

Yelp
This place is delicious authentic Italian food!!! Our meals were delicious, nice ambiance and a great selection of Italian wines!!!

Lady C.

Yelp
Went there to eat with my husband, Their meatballs were really good. Hostess hospitality needs some improvement

David S.

Yelp
I have long considered La Rosa's to be the best restaurant in Andover, but last night we had not a not-so-great experience. I think they need to refocus on things. It took an hour and forty minutes to get our entrees, even after asking when we were going to be served. I had their ravioli special, and it really was not so special. Maybe this is due to not having even staff, but other restaurants seem to be managing better.

Laurie P.

Yelp
I got the Angry Sicilian sandwich & was totally underwhelmed . The meats definitely seemed to be lower quality. As another reviewer noted , no real taste to the ingredients. It's on sliced bread & difficult to eat . Can't come close to the Italian sandwiches at Modern Butcher in Danvers or Petrillo's in Peabody. Very disappointing for $15

Maggie A.

Yelp
Ella at Larosas is the best! She was so helpful picking up my food and made sure to get me everything I need. Good vibes from her! I will be back specifically because of her.

Alison M.

Yelp
Stopped here while driving through Andover and adored everything about this spot. It was cozy on the inside with a menu of sandwiches and salads but also had a full bar and wonderful helpful employees. We noticed they had an adorable outdoor area but with the recent snow and freezing temperatures couldn't access (next time) the burrata salad was amazing as well as the spicy broccoli. The drink menu was great, had the espresso martini that was delicious. Will be back in the near future.

Iris S.

Yelp
This place is full of good intentions but fails to deliver. My 50$ steak came cold. Delicious but cold. The 25$ carpaccio I shared w my husband as an appetizer was so thin I left it for him to eat. The negroni I ordered as a cocktail before the meal was low on gin and Campari came out to sweet. I will not be back despite the wonderful patio, contemporary italian atmosphere, tables w tablecoth, etc. The hostess and servers without masks was another put down. This place made me realize how difficult is to run a high quality eatery.

Dustin R.

Yelp
This is my wife and I's go to date spot. The food is so good. Last time we sat at the bar and just did drinks and a couple plates. Burrata was so good. Came with a nice tomato salad. And unexpected, but the balsamic glazed ribs are amazing and a must order.

Amy S.

Yelp
Delicious! Only had the casual takeout/ sandwich etc. Reserve if you are going for dinner at any time of the week!
