Yelp
Charming and romantic environment, very well-appointed and beautifully decorated restaurant.
The dinner menu is somewhat limited, and I appreciate this as I feel this allows them to be experts at what they have. The entrees include steaks, chicken, and fish as well as vegetarian options.
Entrees include cheese/fruit board. It had house made pumpernickel bread with locally sourced goat cheese, apple slices, cucumber with salmon, and figs, with chicken pate, and, of course, larrupin. It was perfect.
All five in our party had something different and everyone was very pleased with their choices. My choice was the steelhead with coconut/macadamia rice and house salad. The steelhead was mesquite broiled and the best fish I have ever had. Incredibly good. The rice was delectable and the house salad (comes dressed with a light dressing and Gorgonzola). Spectacular meal!
One person had the brisket with twice baked potato and said it was quite good, another had the filet and said it was probably the tastiest filet mignon they'd ever had. The sturgeon was enjoyed but I shared a bite of my steelhead with them and they said it was even better than theirs. The chicken cordon bleu was a good sized breast, prepared beautifully golden.
There was so much food that we couldn't enjoy dessert, but they had great choices including vanilla bean crème brûlée, chocolate cake (comes with vanilla icing and looked incredible), lemon tart, and a few other choices.
Service was excellent. Very friendly and efficient.
Will be back for all special events, and the occasional "just because" fancy dinner!
