I tried to book a table at l’Artisan literally for years, but every time there was a special occasion they were unfortunately closed or some other problem occurred.
So this time I decided to pick a random day just to go and finally try this restaurant and I’m so glad I did it.
The ambiance was nice, candles on the table, everything looked really elegant, the only downside is that it’s a tiny place so tables are quite close to each other.
I had the ravioli as a starter, followed by the duo of duck, while my partner had the scallops and the beef fillet. Honestly the starter where amazing to see but I felt like my ravioli were missing something, maybe they were a bit too delicate in flavour. But the highlight of the dinner was definitely the duck, it was simply amazing and I loved every single bit of it.
For dessert we ordered a cheeseboard and the chef’s special, the Horsechoux, which is available in different flavours and is in the shape of a horseshoe to represent the town of Cheltenham.
I loved our meal from beginning to end and would definitely recommend this restaurant.
