This was my first flamenco experience and it was amazing. I get it, I have nothing else to compare it to but the flamenco aficionados I accompanied verified my affection.
The entire event, from the four course meal to the actual show, lasted a little over two hours. You can partake in the show without dinner; however, I suggest you enjoy the full experience. The entire event cost 65€ a person but don't worry it's worth it.
Here's the set menu
- drinks: sangria, wine, water, and assorted juices.
- first course: salad, sliced jamón, and cheese.
- second course: pincho tortilla, bread, and croquettes.
- third course (main entree): green peas, fried potatoes, and tender cubed beef in gravy.
- forth course: a slice of creamy cheesecake with strawberry sauce.
All of the food was delicious and perfectly proportioned, and the timing of it all was seamlessly intertwined with the show.
Know that this is an establishment that caters to tourists. The waitresses are extremely nice and speak English. The entire venue is large and seats more than what I've heard other venues do. The announcements are in Spanish and English and even the flamenco dancers speak English.
Flamenco is incredible! At the end of the show, the flamenco dancers tell you, in both Spanish and English, a little about what they do and why. Flamenco is a mixture of passion, power, and grace. It's absolutely kid friendly; however, depending on the age they might get bored. What I found interesting is that these flamenco dancers neither rehearse together nor really know each other. The entire show is impromptu, which is unbelievable. Also, the dancers and musicians rotate weekly. Put all this together and you have a different show every time, even if it's the same performers.
Overall, the entire experience was top notch. I will definitely be treating family and friends to this venue whenever they visit. If you live here or are visiting, you can't go wrong with this dinner and flamenco show.
Enjoy!
