Las Cardas Posada

We had an extremely pleasant stay! Everything is as it should be and the way it is portrayed in the photos. What distinguishes this place from others is the owner, Mauricio. His advice on how to travel through the region of Catamarca proved to be extremely valuable; the trip to the Balcón del Pissis, which he organized for us, was spectacular!

When we arrived the pool was very dirty and unusable. Only after an Argentinian guest complained it was cleaned in the late afternoon. Rooms are basic, breakfast poor. „Spa“ was a big rumpus and not usable. |Owners were very friendly and helpful.

We had a good experience at Las Cardas Posada. Our room was large and really nice, breakfast was very good and the owner and staff were extremely friendly and kind. The main square can be reached easily on foot, and there is also free parking inside the hotel.

Good alternative to Hotel Belen and quite a bit cheaper. The rooms were large, beds comfortable and a/c worked well. Breakfast was a miserable affair however and its a 15 minute walk to the main square

This was a lovely refuge as Belen doesn't have much in the way of accommodation. Our room was excellent, very clean, well appointed and nicely decorated. Lots of personal touches here often not evident in posadas. Excellent parking and within walking distance to downtown area. Owners were lovely and breakfast was good. Can't ask for much else.

We were greated by Martha, the mother of the owner who was out of town. She gave us a nice room with a very confortable bed. The day before I fell and sprained my ankle so they were very helpful to me. Every morning they serve a continental breakfast which is OK. I highly recommend this place when driving from or to Cafayate Argentina. Nice and clean place to stay. The posada is a small one so you have to book in advance. We were very lucky to find a room just booking the day before. Thank you Martha for everything.

We booked two nights at this property as we had planned to do a tour to Antofagasta and the salt flats, but unfortunately there was no tour that Sunday. So we had to change our plans and Mauricio was very helpful and got us in touch with a tour operator in Villa Union, our next stop. We were also not charged the second night! Once again we felt the pure Argentinean friendliness. We were very comfortable at Las Cardas and can recommend in to anyone. It's a small family owned hotel with only 5 rooms, with all the amenities one needs and a good running WiFi. And it has a small pool.

We are driving Ruta 40 & have stayed in lots of hotels in this price range in similar towns. We count ourselves experts. Sincerely, Las Cardas was probably the best so far. Comfortable, spacious, friendly, well located & efficient. Literally outstanding.
