Overall this is such a little paradise away from the bustle but close to everything. For my solo, reflection and relaxation stay, it was perfect. It’s a little like glamping in that you’re essentially outside with a roof and porous walls, but with the mosquito net you’re fine for sleeping. My only real complaint is it gets pretty warm at night, so I have all the fans going which takes away from the ocean sound a little. But the price is GREAT, and it really does feel like your own little home in this magical place. I liked it so much I came back for the last 3 days of my stay in Zipolite after having stayed here the first 3 days!

We loved our stay here. The accommodation was set back in the more local area of town which was nice as you felt part of the community. However the beach was a 2 minute walk away. The place was set up the hillside which was great for getting nighttime breeze. We stayed in the platanos double room which was lovely. The kitchen and lounge areas were large and decorated in a shabby chic style. Loved it. There was lots of room especially as we had the whole place to ourselves!! (Usually you would share that space with one other room) the room was rustic and large with space to put your clothes away. The mosquito net was perfect, so holes and you had lovely large windows meaning you could hear the ocean. The place was kept very clean and Javier, the owner was very helpful. You must book into the on site restaurant, Provedencia which is also run by Javier. The food is outstanding! We loved our experience here and at a very reasonable price of 300 mx a night you can't complain!

The bedroom has comfortable beds complete with mosquito netting. The room has a fan and windows to open. Where we stayed had a communal "sitting room" with sofa, deck chairs and a hammock. We also had our own hammock outside our bedroom. The outdoor kitchen is somewhat rustic but we really did not care as we ate most evenings in the fantastic restaurant , La Providencia, that is part of Las Casitas down the hill. The bathroom was also rustic but had a sink and shower and was quite serviceable. The owners were very hospitable and the maid service each day was very good. The gardens are well kept and especially beautiful at night when lit up. The whole place captured the essence of Mexico.

We stayed for a week in La Tortuga, one of the cabañas at Las Casitas. The cabaña was great, we loved relaxing in the hammock and sitting on our own little terrace reading or sharing a meal. The small private kitchen was perfect size for two and equipped well with everything we needed to cook meals. The room itself was comfortable and we could open up windows on two sides for air. There was only cool water for the shower but who needs a hot shower after a day at the beach. The town (restaurants, tiendas etc) as well as the beach are an easy five minute walk away so your cabaña will be quiet in the evenings, although you can still hear the ocean which is lovely. ||Our only negative will come in the form of a recommendation to future guests: bring everything you can to combat mosquitoes. Repellent, smoke coils, bug spray and long loose clothing will all be needed against these awful insects. They nearly drove me insane each evening but there was a great mosquito net over the bed. ||For the duration of our stay we also semi-adopted a friendly little grey cat from the owner. It seems to like the cabaña we were staying in and kept us company while we hung out there during the day.

We had two wonderful, super romantic week in one of the bungalows: El Organo. It is simple, but you have everything you need: a bathroom, toilett, nice outdoor kitchen and a very, very good matress :) We had the most wonderful view looking over Zipolite Beach. In the morning we saw all kinds of birds due to the lovley garden of Las Casitas. There were even two lizzard living in the roof of our huts, sometime a cute litte skunk sneaked in ... it was a bit like Paradis. But if you expect aircondition, bad music and hot shower go somewhere else. AND, to who ever commented below: Las Casitas is very clean and tasteful (italian owners!) but not in this unhealthy, antiseptic way.

We found htis beautiful place by chance, we were looking around for accomodation, the cabins have been built by the Bruno, and you can feel the love. We stayed in Los Plantos, we had our own outdoor kitchen and dining area, and the bedroom was upstairs with hanging beds. The staff are excellant, we higly recommend Las Casitas, we arrived just before the peak seadon and the price was only $300MXN for 2 people, we felt right at home. thank you for a beautiful stay.

Las Casitas is a charming group of bungalows in a natural setting, abundant with lush flowers, welcoming hospitality, and breathtaking views!||We stayed in La Tortuga and El Organo. The owners, Dani and Bruno, were so very accommodating and kind! At night, they light the torches around the bungalows so it creates a very majestic environment. The location is not right on the beach, but it is a very pleasant short stroll. ||I highly recommend this place, Zipolite and Las Casitas!!

If you are definitely not the "all-inclusive, big resort" type, but like to experience life on a low-key, easy groove, then this is the place. Up on the hill above the beach in Zipolite you can cook a few of your own meals or take a short walk into town. The guys who run this place are great and they also have the best restaurant in Zipolite, La Providencia, right by the gate. This is the absolute best time we've had in Mexico, and we've been traveling here for 20 years. We love having a little casita, with our own kitchen, and outdoor dining and terrace. The staff here couldn't be nicer.
