"Popular with locals, this traditional Bogotá restaurant serves a typical bandeja paisa along with other classic dishes on its 100% Colombian menu. Opened in 2000, Cazuelas de la Abuela (Grandma’s Casseroles) maintains its authenticity by serving home-cooked-style food based on 'grandma’s' recipes." - Veronica Stoddart

Incredible soups and stews at this clean, spacious and efficient eatery. The ajiaco con pollo (hearty chicken soup) will run you 20k pesos and it comes with a side of avocado, rice and aprea. Love this place!

Very affordable restaurant with almost perfect ajiaco. As i understand how many restaurants working in the Colombia - you came in, pick the table. Waiter taking you order, bring food, bill and bill would be paid at the cashier. The place - one large room, one smaller room. Open kitchen. You literally can watch how your food preparing. The does not offering any coffee options, tho.

It has changed a lot. I went twice in a month, just to be fare. Because I thought I was mis judging the place. But not, it was the same cold meals, the drinks came right after we finished our meals. The portions were the kids size. The lemonade was so sour that we couldn't drink it. I don't recommend this place.

The Potato soup was so good! We also got mariner trout - we were from the US and they were very helpful

The only place we visited twice during our stay in Bogotá. I had the traditional chicken soup ajiaco that comes with rice avocado and corn cake on the side.

Please avoid going there, the food is refried from the day before, the chicharron was really dry, we asked for a new one but it was the exact same thing. Lulo didn't taste anything, it was just water and no lulo. Bandeja Paisa wasn't good neither and expensive for the quality of the food. The only good thing was the patacon. They only accept cash or bank transfer.
