Las Lajas Beach Resort

Enjoyed lunch here and walking on the beach, though we didn't stay here. Would definitely come back and stay for a weekend! Pool was nice, grounds were attractive, and the staff was very welcoming.

We haven't stayed here to sleep as we live in the town, but the rooms are very large from what I've seen just in passing. We come for dinner and breakfast on the beach a few times a month. Fantastic food! Phenomenal views! Wonderful staff! We recommend this place to all of our American friends who want a slower paced vacation. There's horseback riding, a massage therapist, pool, beach, wildlife, great food, and friendly people. What more could you want?

The property is well appointed and very charming… from the colourful buildings to the added touch of murals and evening accent lighting to the spectacular sunsets and beautiful grounds. But most of all… the cheerful friendly staff and amazing 5 star food at reasonable prices. The owners really know how to make this a relaxing enjoyable getaway….|and it is no wonder that it is a popular destination in Panama. Thank you!

Really enjoyed the visit. Stayed one night. Great service and food at the restaurant. Plenty of towels for the room and pool. Maintained well. The staff are so friendly and helpful, which always makes for a nice stay.

Normally, my experiences have been good there, but this time was very different|I found the manager to be harassing me for having a cigarette while out on the beach, which they do not own.|When I asked her to leave me alone, she continued with her fake silly little grin on barging me unendingly. I had to ask her to please go away and leave me alone as I was not on their property, but she continued for some time.|I was told my puff of smoked went hundreds of feet away into the restaurant and they could smell it which I do not believe ever happened. | While standing in the sandy beach, under a beach shade tree at the far end of the property corner line, I was approached and told how rude I was to be smoking, and when I asked her to go away and leave me alone, she continued her ranting, which was upsetting to me and my friends. When I took it up with the owner, it didn’t get any better.| I just received an email saying I am no longer allowed to make any reservations there.. Well my response was ‘Great Minds Think Alike’|One of my friends who reserved two nights through TripAdvisor was overcharged instead of paying $82 a night for two nights as was the price when he made the reservation he was charged $220. Then my other friends who have been there many times stayed for three nights and only had to pay $230.. The owner said he’d look into it, but obviously never did.. No refund of his over payment happened.|Another disappointment is even though the rooms have television sets there hasn’t been any service for weeks as no one wants to come there to fix it. So i was told by a staff.|On our second day, we were told we could not have lunch until after one oclock as a large group was expected. Four of those members also were smokers out on the beach and they were not approached at all, no problem there.|I find there are other resorts much closer to where my homes are in David and I will be delighted to give them my business such as Barquetta Beach Resort! . It is actually more beautiful and the Restaurant is absolutely wonderful as well as the pools and the beach access. I love the decorations inside with their pools of tortoises and fish.||I’m the CEO of a corporation and I have never been treated as unkindly as I was at Las Lajos and I am very happy to never return.

I would rate more stars if it was possible. Staying at the Las Lajas Beach Resort was the best decision when visiting Las Lajas. Beach front (felt almost private), pool and everyday maintained grass, sunrise and sunset, GREAT cocktails and nice food (breakfast was my favourite). It was so good we ended up extending our stay. Lisa organised yoga and meditation for the early mornings and evenings and kept checking on us, even managed to find us fresh coconuts! Gama helped us with horse riding lesson on the beach and mountains, teaching us about the area and medicinal plants! We felt at home during the entire time, every member of staff was so kind and attentive. We will not forget about Júlio who made us feel special guests every day. I plan to come all the way from Europe to experience this place again! Thank you everyone who made our holidays be so good! One love from your two Portuguese biggest fans, Eva & Lia :)

This is my happy place! The employees are what make this place so special. We have been coming for 2 years and they always remember us and make us feel like family. The owner has made many great improvements over the last year with the pool recently being redone as well as adding features to some of the rooms designated as Jr Suites. The beach is right there and you have beautiful views from the restaurant and bar. They also have an awesome menu for Breakfast Lunch and Dinner with a great variety of items. The Pina Colada by Julio the bartender is the best I have ever had!

Stayed here a number of times. The food is excellent, drinks are awesome. Service is impeccable, rooms are very clean, nice air conditioning, Water pressure in the showers are really nice. It has a nice pool and is on the beach. Lots of outdoor space to sit on the grounds and the beach is NEVER crowded.
