Las Rejas Hostel

I had a great experience at this hostel! It is clean, comfortable and located in the heart of Salta la Linda! The owners and other employees are very helpful and will help you in any way they can. I really enjoyed the breakfast as well - the fresh fruit, breads, coffee & fresh-squeezed juice were all delicious. The owners go the extra-mile to make sure everyone is happy and comfortable. The kitchen is spacious and clean and everyone shares it really well. I loved my stay here!!

The location of the hostel is great! The staff is also really friendly and helpful. Breakfast is okay (tea, bread, jam). The only negative points about the hostels are the bathrooms. They are run down... Also, the bunkbeds were a bit shaky. They did not seem too robust.

Super good hostel with 24h reception, great location/price and clean facilities. Nice family vibes with travelers from all around the world and really helpful and kind staff. Lourdes, the girl doing the day shift, gave me so many recommendations and helped me out in so many ways. Definitely recommended and I will be coming back aswell!

I really really enjoyed my stay in this hostel!! ||The owners are just amazing, open, heart-warming poeple. ||||The hostel itself is very clean and super comfy! I stayed there in the “winter” and they had a heater and everything! It was very warm and nice, slept like a baby there! ||||Breakfast is sweet and delicious! ||||I would totally recommend to sleep there! For sure I will come back sometimes! ||:-)

The place has new owners for three months at the time of my visit in August 2018. The facilities were very clean at all times. The owner in particular but also his personnel surprised me for their hospitality, patience and willingness to share detailed information of anything I asked about. Never in a hurry to continue their chores. Excellent value as a hostel. Earns my top marks.

My wife and I stayed for 2 nights in a double room with private bathroom. Maria was very helpful in recommending places to explore when we hired a car. They allowed us to store our luggage and hangout at the hostel when we returned and had to catch a night bus. The room was spotless and the breakfast of fruit, bread, jam, fresh orange juice and coffee was excellent. Mucho Gracias Maria! Suerte!|Allan and Tanya x

We had a private room which was really comfortable and we had good internet connection in the room which was great and is quite rare in hostels! However we were surprised that nobody ever came to clean though we stayed 5 days. The staff was very friendly and helpful with us! :) Common room and kitchen are very basic and could use some décoration makeover.

**!!BED BUGS!!** Worst hostel I’ve ever stayed in. Do not stay here!! Does not even deserve one star! ** update: APPARENTLY after looking at the previous comments, it seems very common for this place to ALWAYS have bed bugs... does not seem like the problem is being dealt with adequately.. ever. ** We had a horrible experience staying at this hostel not just because of the bed bugs we received from staying the night but because of the owner of the hostel!! We received no apology, no offer to help cover the costs of laundry and especially no reimbursement for our stay in the hostel. Multiple times we asked to meet with the owner and either received no reply or the staff said they were out. All we wanted was an apology and maybe to discuss sharing some of the laundry costs. I can guarantee you that this hostel is not run up to standards as the owners do not care about who is staying there OR the cleanliness of this hostel. Avoid at all cost unless you want to snuggle with bedbugs and then have to pay for all your laundry out of pocket after(very pricey in Argentina).
