Las Terrazas Resort & Residences

Beautiful, well-maintained property with a nice beach. Appreciated they had 24/7 security at the road entrance and the washer dryer in our room really was a nice perk for traveling. Pool and grounds are pristine! Nice location a little out of the bustle, but not too far north to go town for dinner. A nice sized resort too, pool and beach were uncrowded and serene. For the price of the room, however, I didn't like the feeling of price gouging at the onsite restaurant - there's a 25% percent service fee, plus a 12% tax before you even tip, the airport transfer was $45, and the golf carts rented from the hotel were $80 per day - we easily rented elsewhere for $35 per day with free delivery and pick up elsewhere.

My husband and I arrived at Las Terrazas on the afternoon of 1/1 and stayed until the 7th. We were greeted at a dock near the San Pedro airport by Jafphet and the captain who took us on a beautifully scenic ride north along the shore to the resort. From start to finish two most outstanding features about the resort are the AMAZING serviice staff and the beauty and cleanliness of the resort. The whole staff learned our names and were friendly, attentive and interested in pleasing. I want to especially thank Nailey -at reception, Joel -our butler, Beverly -our breakfast server, Nigel and Steve- our dinner and pool side servers and the wonderful bar tender (whose name has slipped my mind) and Jafphet -who also took us out on a Hobie Cat - for making the celebration of our 10th anniversary extraordinary. Bravo!

It was wonderful to spend our Christmas at this hotel. Our room was spacious with robes and slippers and a full kitchen. We had golf carts every day to move around from anything like the grocery store to secret beach with clear, blue water, which had a waterpark that the kids loved! The pool was relaxing, and the food was delicious. What stood out was the people, Raquel, Joelle, and Carla went above and beyond to ensure our trip was the very best. Like any tropical place, bring bug spray and cash to tip the wonderful staff. We enjoyed the reef fishing, arranged by the hotel, but there were more excursions that I would take advantage of upon our return. Note: Sargassam present in Belize. Thank you for an enjoyable stay!

My husband and I stayed 6 nights in a beautiful 2nd floor two bedroom suite with an ocean view. The room was very clean as was the whole resort but the service and staff were really extraordinary. From the friendly chat with Jafphet on the boat to the resort from San Pedro to the amazing Naiely at the reception desk to Joel who introduced himself as our butler for our stay, we were humbled by the friendliness and kindness of everyone. We ate breakfast daily and a few lunches and dinners on site at the resort and all were delicious and abundant. My favorite was the Caribean lobster. Our waiters, Beverly, Nigel and Steve, and the bartender were all welcoming and attentive. They knew our names, favorite drinks and food soon after we arrived. ||The resort has 39 rooms but several seem to be larger for families and groups. Our two bedroom suite was well appointed and much larger than we needed. There were some families with young and teenage children but the resort vibe was chill and relaxing. It was peaceful and romantic.

My girlfriends and I stayed here last week and we definitely had an interesting stay. The staff was SO friendly. We knew almost everyone by name when we left. The pool area is beautiful but beach was covered in sargassum while we were there and the dock had uneven boards, so the ocean area wasn’t as inviting as the pool. Our 3-bedroom garden view villa was perfect for 6 of us and had a view of the ocean and was steps from the pool. Unfortunately because of the recent rain and elevated water table, we had issues flushing the toilets and one did overflow. The main water pipe to our building also burst one day and we were asked to use another villa to take showers one night. The resort did provide us with a bottle of wine as an apology. The last two days they also were doing loud construction work during the day, which we weren’t warned about. ||Definitely take advantage of the lunch happy hour…that was a bonus. O Restaurant had amazing food and we got to watch a fire dance show while we dined by the pool one night. ||Overall, we laughed through the plumbing issues and enjoyed the nice aspects of the resort. It was a memorable stay!

Came for the day to eat and use the pool. It’s hard to find resorts open to the public during the holidays and we were grateful. The pool and beach area are lovely. Music is fun. Service was excellent. The food was really good, I highly recommend the spicy chicken burger, BEST chicken burger I’ve ever had honestly. Lovely resort! Thank you!

The property is very nice, intimate with every amenity. The restaurant on site offered delicious food and Karla provided wonderful service. We were especially grateful to Raquel and Joelle, who went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. Whether we wanted to do reef fishing, rent, golf carts, or just explore around town you really got a local field while coming back to the hotel to an authentic space. We got there before the hustle bustle of Christmas and think the overall value was perfect. Be sure to bring bug spray like any tropical environment and note to check out secret beach access accessible through golf Carts.

Las Terrazas Resort is a four star hotel with five star management! Bairon Amador,|Front House Manager and his staff went above and beyond to help resolve some issues we experienced during our stay! ||While the resort itself is fine, the lack of amenities and especially the beachfront were terrible. To be clear, if you are looking to relax on the beach and swim in the ocean, this is not the place as the water is murky, muddy, smelly due to some odd chemical reaction I was told is caused by seaweed. The pool is nice however and if you go in knowing this, you are good. The one sailboat was broken and very few watertoys, but again you won't want to go in the water near the hotel.||If you go during New Years, avoid the special dinner and show. It was a joke and they charged almost $1,200 for a family of three. A small lobster tail, soup and dessert was all we got with mediocre service, The show consisted of four people banging on drums giving us a headache, a total ripoff! ||I really wanted to love this place and Belize, but when you combine the massive attack of sand flies and masquitos with everything else, I would go to Mexico next time.
