We came here for a walk-in birthday experience for my son. We did have fun, but my three stars are just because I feel the overall cost is not worth the experience. Customer service was fine. The waiver was strange because if you are an adult with minors, one adult must sign in with the minors, and the other adult must sign in for themselves. So as a family of four, me and our children signed one waiver, and my husband signed a waiver with just his information.
Anyway, the roller coaster was closed, which to me is personally the best attraction, and I was personally bummed that it was shut down - prior reviews make it seem like the poor dragon has been out of service for 2+ months.
We went on a Sunday at 1 p.m., and wait times were low. My children are 5 and 9. LVMGP wristbands cost $40+ each for 1 hour of unlimited rides. At first, I ordered 4, and the cashier kindly encouraged Dad and me not to purchase wristbands because we could ride with our small children for free if they were too small to ride alone. So finally, two wristbands and $90 later, it was time to play. Our 1-hour timer began after we scanned our first card, and with short lines, my kids rode the kiddy carts 3-4 times; we rode the speedy carts with them twice, went down the slide 2x, and enjoyed the tornado 2x. The hour flew by. We ordered three water bottles to keep cool, which cost around $10. (the vending machines at $5 per drink) Three employees at the food counter spoke to me, but only one could help me; the rest stood together and seemed confused when I asked for water.
After our hour, we went into the arcade and utilized the card kiosk, which cost $20 for 400 credits. We loaded each child's play card. ($40)
The kiddos took around 15 minutes to run out of those cards; one claw machine, in particular, cost 100 credits, and most games cost about 40-50 if they were on the low side. Ultimately, we spent $150 at this location in 90 minutes. My children didn't get many tickets for the arcade games and could only get a few candies at the prize counter. I don't know if it's just that they've raised prices so much to afford the few upgrades to the arcade they made, or inflation, or what, but they're still not upgraded or nice enough inside or outside to make $150 worth it, in my opinion.
Here's the end of it--my kids have a blast. They don't pay attention to these things and frankly don't care. So, if you have money to burn and don't care about that, you'll have an epic time. Me on the other hand, this cost 5hours of my hard earned wages and if it wasn't for my kid telling me he had the best birthday ever, id be a lot more upset. I give it three stars for the experience minus 2 for the cost. $$$
