Highlights

Lassens in Los Feliz is a cozy local health market with a solid array of organic and specialty items, though its compact layout and crowded aisles can make shopping a bit tricky.

Purchased a surprise bag through ‘too good to go’ they included multiple items that is past sell by or best by dates one being over a week past best by date. Questionable ethics.

This is a store with many high quality products sold for premium prices. The customer service is excellent if and only if you are making a purchase. They have a strict 14 day return window, and if something they sell you turns out to be defective after that return window, they will not honor any return of any sort. My mother and I were loyal customers for years, which meant absolutely nothing in the manager's eyes. In this case, it was frozen meat in an air locked package - which is expected to keep for a long time. The packaging was defective and the meat went bad, and my mother unknowingly ate some of this meat and got sick. Not only would they not take it back because it was outside the 14 day window, but they blamed me for what was obviously a manufacturing defect. They don't care if you get sick from something purchased at their store. For such premium prices I didn't expect Lassens to be stingier than a typical market like Vons who has never ever given me grief over a return. Guess what, Lazy Acres sells most of the same products. Maybe I'll give them my business instead of Lassens.

I’ve stopped going here after learning that this company is actually run by a homophobic bunch (donated loads of cash to support prop 8 trying to overturn gay marriage) - also they’re closed on Sundays and now that makes sense. I’ve been shopping here for 10 years and wish I’d known earlier :/

Horrible leads/managers. NOT helpful and rude despite our many years of patronage. These new people need to be replaced with people who will make the place welcoming and pleasant. They need to have leaders who will treat customers with respect It's thanks to us they have a paycheck. No wonder most of their employees are also rude. Been told by other customers that they also been mistreated by the staff "in charge". And forget the parking situation! I don't think it's worth the hassle just to be treated so rudely at this store. I'll go to the larger Echo Park location with a real parking lot from now on.

I have always liked the store and was a fan when it was Nature Mart back in the day but my visit today not a fan. The cashier Olga S was just simply there ~ made no effort to be pleasant or helpful. I literally came in my first day with a cast and she she just looked away the entire time and scanned my over $80 purchase and left it with no attempt to bag. I asked if she was was going to bag it but she made no knowledge or answer. Will not be back and amazed how no one seems to care about other humans > Hope management reads and responds.

Great store full of amazing healthy items but very small isles and rude cashiers. Trying to buy groceries with a $100 bill proved to be a huge problem. I was treated like I ruined her day. You would think a place that sells groceries at high prices would have change for a hundred? ?

Prices are as expected. Fairly small store but not the issue. The customer service is pretty bad. Some with long hair kinda covering his face. I think he had like blond tips..anyway he seemed mad about someone or something. It seemed like he was mad he had to bag my groceries. Lol like dude if you don’t want to work there, leave. No one’s holding a gun to your head. Hope he finds happiness. Anyway the vibe in there kinda sucked too. Felt very unpleasant over all. Just went to this location because it was on the way home.

Google
Crowded store crowded parking. Loaded with stuff but not easy access. Better to go to their Sunset store. Went recently. Not so sharp cashier. Sign had the 2 for 1 discount but didn’t know how to handle it. Avoid their crowded aisles.

Yelp
Great local market with healthy and organic options. The market and deli are friendly to vegan and other dietary preferences. They have an excellent selection of supplements. The vibe is a local store and the team does go out of their way to make you feel welcome. The only real issue is the parking - which can be hectic. Highly recommend this location

Ceviche W.

Yelp
I love getting my products from here as it's local and clean, however the staff really makes the experience so unpleasant. I've never had any issues with the older employees, but the younger staff members just really make me feel like i'm an inherent burden as a patron.

Yelp
Lassens is amazing, I love their selection. All of the prepared food tastes great, very fresh and simple. The bacon breakfast burrito was good, it could use a bit of salsa or hot sauce.

Yelp
My new to go health store for organic and Whole Foods! Small location but always organized, clean and good service every time we visit this store!

Yelp
I've been shopping at THIS Lassens location for 6 years so I obviously like this store as my local grocery store, but today I had an unusually unwelcoming experience :( I ordered a breakfast burrito from the cafe and saw a BOGO bag of chips sale along the way to the checkout counter to pay. I frequent here so I took the time to put in my rewards number and swiped my card to pay. Normally there is a two-step process since I ordered hot food item and I am buying groceries so I wait and the cashier says it's good. I assumed the cash amount on my card was used for all this time because it didn't prompt me to enter my pin twice. I go back to the cafe counter IN THE BACK OF STORE to WAIT for my order to finish being made while I take a very anticipated phone call. A few moments later, the same male cashier comes to tell me my payment didn't go through. "Oh no, I'll be right up! *pointing to my phone* 45 seconds later as I'm trying to wrap up with a company rep assisting me on the phone, ANOTHER cashier, although she's giving more of a manager vibe (taller female with a brunette bob and blue baseball cap) runs up to me quickly saying your payment didn't go through. Startled by it all, I responded as best as I could trying to retain information from both people speaking to me at the same time. I said "yes I know, I will be there, I'm just finishing up with my phone call". She gives me a funny look and questioned "you can't just go up there and pay?" Yes yes, I will be right up, I say. She stares at me awkwardly on the phone as I tell the rep "one moment ma'am" and finally walks away. Processing what just happened, I quickly go to counter to pay the remaining balance with my PHONE and the same male cashier gives me a receipt. I clutch it with the 2 bags of chips I purchased earlier and return to ask for a shopping bag to assure the staff that I'm not stealing or whatever presumption that mentioned female cashier had about me. Walking again to the back of the store, I picked up my freshly made breakfast burrito and left feeling very uncomfortable. Just to paint a picture here: 1. I was holding 2 bags of chips I legit purchased when I was encountered by not one, but two cashiers. One was understandable. 2. This was not a rushed store run. I hadn't even left. I waited patiently in the back of the store (which is barricaded by boxes of inventory). 3. Keep in mind, I am not near the entrance. I am standing in front of the food counter. This is no different than everyone else browsing the store while waiting for their food to be made. 4. This is early morning, store was not crowded so the cashier could have kept it open til I returned which he did, but in any case that it wasn't void the item I didn't pay for and take care of the other customers. --this is just me being understanding of a cashier whose checkout is incomplete. I get that part. 5. I've called in over a dozen times to place this order over the phone and I pay when I get there, sensibly after I've done all my grocery shop i can do one big checkout. No one has ever come up to me while browsing the store like I'm about to run out with a burrito. I honestly cannot understand that type of mindset so I really don't know what the female cashier thought. Maybe her spidey senses alarmed her because of stigmas concerning the color of my skin or my method of payment. Maybe she thinks black people have superpowers and thought I was going to KaPow through walls of Lassens . Idk ‍ but I will say that hate that this happened because I really loved those breakfast burritos here.

Yelp
The manager here is Incredibly Racist. I saw dogs in there so i took mine in. my bad . But there people before me (White) had a dog and she was so friendly towards them no questions asked. and when it was my turn (colored) she was so shitty to me. Had the meanest face on her!. And very rudely told me service dogs only! I said im sorry and i quickly walked out. I asked why didn't you say anything to the people before me . she said how do you know it wasn't a service dog? And you have 2 and they only have one. A service dog is a service dog 2 or one. I don't know how a place like lessens that pride themselves, employ such racist people! we live in such a lovely neighbourhood like los feliz then you get people like this that just ruin it with their discrimination to us coloured!

Yelp
Love this store! I come here once a week maybe two to three times depending. It's a tiny store but everyone is suuuuper friendly and willing to help. They keep the shelves stocked really well and all of the produce is organic, fresh and from local farmers. The cafe always has someone thing good to pick from and they will happily make substitutions for any diet need. All of their supplements are current, and all the craze for what you need or want in this day and age! It's a bit pricey for some things, but it's nowhere near Erewhon prices. So if your around a Lassens, stop in if it's just for water or a yummy Olipop to a hand crafted sandwich from the deli or some fresh mushrooms or frozen veggies you will not be disappointed!

Yelp
S/O Crystal the night manager & Sheila the day manager! Both exceptional, compassionate, professional, kind human beings who make a difference in this world by simply being who they are. I'm so grateful I can safely get my organic produce at this Lassens open until 11pm that doesn't contain Apeel coating.

Yelp
My go-to local organic market. Welcoming staff, super organized/clean store with a fantastic selection of only the best items :)

Mimi L.

Yelp
They have good sales. Produce is usually a good quality. Once in a while the green beans are old. I like that they have their own brand of nut butters at a more reasonable cost (and taste good!).

Anna W.

Yelp
THE NICEST most HELPFUL STAFF best selection. Today's staff was even more knowledgeable patient and helpful. Thank you so much!! James Linda and Olga all went out of their way with my groceries. Also, a great selection of WishGarden herbs and they keep them on sale regularly. Can't recommend this location enough!

Yelp
My absolutely favorite store. Always fresh delicious food! Lots of organic products. Nice and friendly sales persons!

Yelp
Tiny parking lot so I would take my chances with street metered parking at $1.00 per hour. This is like a sprouts or a more affordable whole foods. The aisles are tiny and narrow because the store is packed. There are so many different types of health foods I could spend hours perusing. I would come here to shop for specialty items like kombucha (big bottles of GTS is 6.99 on sale!) or beet kimchi , their produce & meat section seems more expensive than a regular store.

Allison L.

Yelp
My husband and I have shopping at this location for decades (before it was Lassens, too) and the staff is what makes ALL the difference! We come there 6 days a week and even sometimes a few times in a day. Stephania, Pat and team in the juice bar are the best! It's in the way they keep everything upbeat and positive no matter how many orders are coming at them! Kim is super cool and all the others! Going there feels like a store in a small town. We super appreciate the employees there and make it a point to shop there over other places for that reason. Thank you Lassens Los Feliz!

Yelp
I absolutely love supporting lassens. Is the perfect neighborhood health food store to walk to, and I would be so majorly bummed if it ever ever went out of business. Such an amazing resource for a chef. If I'm making a meal, getting creative, lassens somehow always has a great last minute drop in for tons of last-minute ingredients that I need. Love this place .

Yelp
Definitely check expiration dates before buying from this location. I just bit into a biscuit snack bar I bought there and it was disgusting. Turned out it expired a month ago.
google avatar

Slater F.

Yelp
Excellent selection, but pricey. Not Lassen's fault--it's just expensive to eat healthy despite what they say.

Yelp
Last visited three days ago. Today I came in to buy a cookie. Right when I walked in the store, the security guard immediately positioned himself to follow me. I walked straight towards to deli area to get the cookie I wanted and after a couple minutes he passed by in front of me. I noticed that he wasn't around all the other white folks that were there. My patience is running thin.

Yelp
Yummy food in a cute little corner grocery store but much of the staff is comically rude. Too rude for such expensive groceries. A little customer service training would go a long way here.

Yelp
I'm a health food junkie and love the concept of this store, but the attitude of the staff and the small aisles make me feel like I'm in an elevator suffering from claustrophobia, and can't access the items I want and am CONSTANTLY getting knocked over by an employee that comes bustling down the aisles with no concern or regard for their customers. They carry my current Keto favorite (Rebel Ice Cream), and that is the ONLY reason that I come here. All the food items are marked up (For example, ChocZero Keto Bark is listed at $8.49 here at Lassen's, it's $7.49 across the street at Albertsons, and $6.99 on the ChocZero website) But my real beef with this mess of a store, are the extremely narrow and tiny aisles, and that the staff has no regard for the customers. They're constantly restocking during peak hours, combined with the limited aisle space, you literally have to walk around the whole store to get anything, and then boom - another store employee comes bustling down the aisles and you can't actually shop. I'm so happy to hear that other stores will be carrying Rebel Ice Cream soon because the thought of having to go back to this location of Lassen's literarily gives me PTSD.

Yelp
Lassens is very straight forward... It's a smaller health food store. As you would expect, that means it can be a bit pricey, but the quality is great. Excellent hot food and salad bars. Simple and healthy sandwiches and sides to-go. Probably the best bougie beverage selection I've ever seen. Great homeopathic-wellness section with knowledgable staff. The made-to-order smoothie and sandwich counter takes time, but that is to be expected in such a small and busy business. There is no difference between the read-to-go sandwiches and the made-to-order. The brioche breakfast sandwich is bomb.com goodness.

Yelp
The parking lot is small and a couple spots are a bit tight to get into/back out if you have a larger vehicle, but they have additional parking across the street. The store is a bit crowded. Right when you enter, it seems to be a lot to look at, so there were people standing there looking at items they might want to buy. This created a sort of standstill at the entrance. But people are nice, and willing to move to the side if they see there's someone trying to enter the store. It goes straight into isles and if you make a sharp right, you can get to the registers. Their bathroom is clean and has signage to remind you what is on sale.

Yelp
I love finding local healthy markets like this. Although on the pricey side, I loved the selection of items they had and the quality- from fresh veggies, dips, and cheeses, to makeup, protein powder, healthy frozen food and so much more. I didn't realize they had actual food as some people had mentioned so I definitely need to visit. This place reminds me of a healthy local grocery store in Woodstock, NY. If you love supporting smaller chains or need vitamins, supplements or dairy free items, this might be a place to check out in Los Feliz.
google avatar

Teylor S.

Yelp
This place is an ideal boutique style grocer. All the vitamins and healthy selections you could want. My first visit there I took my time looking through the vitamin selection and just enjoying this new store that I hope I can become a regular at. Unfortunately I was quickly brought back to reality when the security guard decided to stand in the same aisle as me while I read through the vitamin ingredients. I was the only customer in that aisle and the only ‍person in the entire store.
google avatar

Angel B.

Yelp
Love this little health food store, they have a variety of items from shampoo and personal care, vitamins and supplements to refrigerated, prepared foods, milk cheese eggs, produce and even a deli and fresh juices, it's like a tinier version of sprouts. Wish the store a bit bigger, the prices are moderate to higher. I personally love the snacks and juices they carry! Nom nom
google avatar

Yasmina K.

Yelp
I live Lassens but I'm giving them 3 stars because for the last four weeks straight they sold me meat/fish with a sell by date that was only 2/3 days away from the day I bought the neat/fish. Really bummed by the quality of their meat/fish/poultry shelving!!! Lassens, don't do me dirty again please!!!!
google avatar

Yelp
This store is incredibly small so its hard to keep "social distance". Everyone is packed in like sardines along with the merchandise. You have to wait for people to move to take two steps. Merchandise is plentiful, fresh and well stocked. The stocking staff was nice but the cashiers not so much. I think I'll stick to the one on La Brea and Wilshire its way bigger and the staff is AMAZING!
google avatar

Yelp
This used to be one of my favorite stores... certainly a huge selection of vitamins and health foods and a nice juice bar and deli, however today the freshness of my grocery purchases was a major failure. We opened the box of the expensive cashew cheese to find that it was moldy, purchased the same day as it's expiration date. I then went to bake the hickory smoked bacon I had purchased and as I laid the bacon strips out on the baking rack, I could feel that they were all extremely slimy... it took me a minute to find a very subtle expiration stamp on the side and it was 6 days past the use or freeze date. I checked all my other purchases and noticed that the identical eggs I purchased a week ago (6/17/18) at Whole Foods had an expiration date 7/5/18, while the same brand of pasture-raised eggs I purchased at Lassen's today 6/23 expire on 6/29. Is it too much to expect my $8.49 dozen eggs, my $8.99 bacon, and my $12.99 cashew cheese to be like you know, fresh?

Nina S.

Yelp
I'm a longtime shopper/neighborhood resident and my friends (also longtime shoppers) shared their recent experiences of being aggressively racially profiled, followed closely throughout the store, and harassed by the new female security guard at this location. Staff confirmed they've had multiple similar complaints -- until management takes action to make a change, myself and many others in the neighborhood will no longer shop here.

Yelp
This review is to warn customers that Lassens and this store's management is not protecting their employees or customers from COVID-19. Management has customers standing 6ft apart outside the store, but once you enter, they said they are not responsible. This is incredibly disturbing that they feel no need, or responsibility, to simply remind customers inside to keep their distance from others AND their own employees who ARE SCARED WHILE WORKING there because customers are not keeping their distance from them. If you are not protecting the health and safety of your employees, you are subsequently not keeping your customers safe, and this has a chain reaction that can severely affect an entire community.

Yelp
Formerly Nature Mart, Lassens is a neighborhood health food market and deli. Albeit a chain brand, this store maintains Nature Mart's neighborhood friendly appeal. That said, Lassens is due for a relocation. This store can hardly contain the products and people it manages. It's popularity is only outweighed by the wait-times for a parking spot. That said, Lassens has it all. They are 1 part grocer, 1 part vitamin broker and 1 part deli/juicery. It's not uncommon to grab a sandwich, smoothie, some bread, meat, milk and eggs along with a few multi-vites and ear wax candles. If you're conscience about what you eat, you'll be quite satisfied here. Vegan and carnivore alike will be able to find fairly traded, eco-friendly, wallet-friendly products. I recommend the half sandwich and smoothie deal. Solid lunch time grab.

Yelp
CAUTION FOR ORDERING ONLINE I ordered products online and would be picked it up at the store. However, when I arrived the staff told me there is no product for me, sold out. However I already paid in online, and they told me my transaction should be refunded in a few hours. Today is the 4th day that I've been waiting for my refund! I called again to this store, another staff told me it takes 3business day. They should talk or have the same information before they work. So disappointed.

Yelp
I love going to Lassens, I've been living in Copenhagen, Denmark for many years. When I Heard that the Lassen's family was from Denmark I was so happy and admired them even more. I understand where the friendliness and cozyness comes from. I love the shop and I love the green monster. Overall I highly recommend this shop in Los Feliz as the experience is generally welcoming and great, the managers alway is very nice, the guy with Spiky hair! :)

Yelp
LOS FELIZ GEM! I've been coming to this property for health and wellness since it was Nature Mart...some of the OGs will remember that. There was a defection of Nature Mart regular customers when Lassens bought the property however, due to the Lassen family supporting anti-prop 8 legislation (in other words...they were against gay marriage in California) but I continued to shop-- perhaps I should have boycotted as well...THE REASON FOR MY CONTINUED SHOPPING: The employees! They have always been fantastic from the management down. The worker bees there are very real, multi-cultural, diverse; and when you see them often they become trusted advisors in your health and wellness pursuits. The Echo Park store doesn't have that same small town feel; I recently was in that area and stopped in but felt like I was in Costco. Los Feliz is where it's at for me. If I've ever had an issue it has been corrected immediately, the employees are patient and generous with information. The day and evening managers Diana, William, Jason and Richard are outstanding. An excellent selection of health and wellness products abounds and the deli crew, Stephania, Patrick and Brittany are always a delight to order from. Cashiers Genesis, James and Oscar are very personable. Los Angeles is not an easy city to provide excellent customer service in-- it can attract the worst kind of customers. In my experience LOS FELIZ EMPLOYEES GO ABOVE AND BEYOND in this crazy town.

Yelp
Absolutely abysmal service at this Lassens. I agree with all the negative reviews re the claustrophobic overcrowding I experience whenever I'm in this store. Used to love it when it was Nature Mart. Somehow the good service and selection made up for the anxiety-producing layout. I try to avoid shopping here the past few years, after a particularly bad experience. But 2 days ago, my cat was sick and I came to gather some supplies for a natural remedy. The first negative came when I asked an employee stocking shelves in the vitamin section where the empty dropper bottles would be. He had no idea what I was talking about. A female employee whizzed by us as he was saying: "She would know." She hollered back, "I'm busy with a customer!" So I went to the front and asked a cashier for help (I was also looking for an herbal oil that was elusive). The cashier went right to the items, and as we went to cash me out, I asked if she could give the clueless employee a clue about how to find this stuff. We went back and forth for a while because she refused to go right then and inform the employee. She would only say: "The person in Vitamins is a woman..." Yes, but the employee who had no info was not a woman. She answered: "I will inform all our grocery employees..." I asked to speak to the manager. She answered with her stone face: "I am the manager." (Well, right now...yes....) Today I had to return everything because after I got home, I found I didn't need any of it. Cue the Next Not-Great Experience. Let me preface by asking: Why not smile? Why not be nice to customers? Would it hurt? I was lucky because there was no line. I showed the items and the receipt to yet another stone-faced woman (this one had lavender hair). "Do I need to see the manager about returns?" "Any of us at the register can handle returns." So I show her the stuff, she asks me a lot of personal info so she can fill it in on her computer. And then...(drum roll)...talks into her little walky-talky thingy...that the MANAGER needs to come up front and approve the transaction. We wait. She asks again. We wait. She asks again. We wait. (At this point, I'm very happy that I did not need to go to the restroom...) A guy shows up with great authority. Looks over everything, signs something. I sign something. And at long last...StoneFace says to me: "Okay, you've been issued a full refund to your debit card..." "When will it show up in my account?" "2-3 business days" (It's Friday...yay!) I was dreading going down the street to return the rest of the items to the pet store on Hillhurst, but Miracle of Miracles .... even though I had paid with a debit card and the receipt was marked "NO REFUND"... The owner gave me a cash refund. God bless him.

Yelp
My visit was too strange for words! I parked in the disabled spot(I have plates)in their tiny parking lot and went in for my quick purchase. When I was at the register, literally getting ready to pay, a customer came in from outside and asked who was parked in the disabled space because she couldn't get out. I should've just kept my mouth shut but I admitted it was me. I would have felt pressured, but I knew I was paying and leaving right away; however, unfortunately, the woman was very impatient and one woman who works here decided to go out and take a photo of how my car was parked and then discussed it with the woman. Now in case you don't know what's wrong here, I'll fill you in. The woman is impatient, I'm leaving in a matter of seconds and instead of just keeping quiet or god forbid trying to help diffuse the situation, the cashier got the woman even more riled up and was apparently siding with her. They both were ganging up on me while I was trying to pay and then I said, "maybe I won't come back here again" and then some bottom feeder customer, who is a yes man and clearly had trouble minding her own business and didn't think I had enough people ganging up on me chimed in and said, "maybe you shouldn't!". I went out to my car and pulled up the 1/4 inch leeway I had so my front bumper wouldn't get scraped and then not only scraped it but tore it on the cement block. The parking lot is tiny and my car is kind of big, but hers was even bigger, an SUV and what became clear is that it was more that she lacked the skills to back out and less about me blocking her. Another customer approached me and said the same about the woman and told me that kind of thing happens all the time. Then another member of the children of the corn/stepford crew came out and said he was a manager and made sure if I didn't get enough rudeness then I got some before I left. I contacted corporate and even gave the guy advice about taking fish oil for blood pressure and he assured me he would look into the situation and call back and I never heard from him. Needless to say, I make sure to go to sprouts and have not stepped foot in that store since.

Yelp
I LOVE this store and shop here after hiking almost daily nearby in griffith park. But yeah, there are issues just like in any real relationship. The parking : not enough spots, cramped. The aisles are super narrow. Cant reach items on top shelves. Employess re-stocking during busy hours. Several timesI bought an item, loved it then when I came in to buy more, they were out of stock. A pretty girl named Sarah ordered it telling me I would be contacted when it came in- that was last summer! No item, apparently Sarah quit. Pricey but you can find great sale items. One review called out the security guard for racism but Im male christian white conservative and felt same vibe from security (as if i was a suspected shoplifter) so ITS NOT RACISM. This is just a weird, quirky store-punk rocker mgr, rude people, frustration, sweet latinas at the cash register- exactly what i like! This is resl life, folks. Stop complaining!

Yelp
Cacao bliss smoothie was served to me nearly as thick as peanut butter. I could barely get any through the straw. It was so bad I had to throw it out after a few sips. They were out of chocolate hemp milk gave me regular instead. But maybe they didn't give me enough milk at all since it was literally like trying to drink sludge! To top it off it tasted more like mushrooms than cacao. Beyond disappointed actually made me feel gross!

Yelp
leaving 5 stars despite the high prices. i save money because of the size of the store. less impulse buying, less people, less overwhelming, less excessive than a big store. i can usually think clearly when i shop here, there's just less persuasive marketing and temptation. i think lassens has the freshest produce in the area (though jons and arbat are also good), and unlike some of the other smaller markets, they accept EBT (food stamps), so they do cater to the poor. more expensive than trader joes, but equally convenient if you like to cook, and the food won't make you fat like trader joes does. this is an amazing health food store, they have everything you need to put good, natural, healthy, pure foods inside your body no matter your dietary needs or preferences. certain things are priced higher and you might want to get those items elsewhere - other things you simply can't *find* anywhere else nearby. if you're a vegan, you'll find everything you need. if you're a vegetarian or omnivore who cares about buying from ethical farms, you'll find that here too. if you love to cook, the produce is fantastic and they have a lot of unique ingredients if you like to get creative, and like to cook a variety of international foods. if you have high standards, this is your store. if you're tired of the CROWDS at big supermarkets, hide from them here. the parking lot is small, but so is the store itself, so you can get in and out quickly (and most do, so a spot will usually open for you).

Yelp
I don't typically make these reviews but yes, the racist comments here are pretty accurate. I don't usually shop at this location and was visibly lost. Visibly trying to get the cashiers attention to find an item. And all the security guard was interested in was identifying the items I was holding on my hands. For a security guard, being subtle was not his strong suit. I handed the items back to an attendant and left the store.

Yelp
It takes longer for the staff members to make the smoothies here than it did for us to get a parking spot in their tiny car park. Both smoothies were room temperature. The first was ready after 10mins. My boyfriend finished his before mine was ready. Not happy about that seeing as this is the second location we've been to for this chain and waited the same amount of time. I really feel that if the staff members made the customer orders as a priority over having conversations with each other - the ratings would improve.

Yelp
Terrible customer service! I wish that I could say that this was the first time, but every single time my girlfriend and I go that location, we get treated poorly. Trust me, we both wish we didn't have to come to lassens, but unfortunately it's the only store that carries many of our brand items. Tonight I walked in looking for one item in particular, and the shelf was empty. I looked around the store and located two employees. I kindly said, " excuse me, may I ask you a question?". Both of the female employees turned and stared at me as though I had offended them. As they blankly stared at me, I said again, "I'm sorry, do you not work here"? They very aggressively said "yes", and it was like pulling teeth from that moment on. Even when one of them, (green Contacts) called over another employee and asked for help, that gentleman also gave a snarky response! What is going on here ?!? I've never in my life been treated with such poor customer service, especially in a customer service industry. I was so baffled by my experience. *Note, I'm not just another person that hides behind their phone and blasts yelp... I definitely let them know in person, that I was not happy. What a shame that a local market that is so highly priced, gives such poor customer service.

Ahhaha ) I love the coziness of the market and various of organic , vegan , paleo blah blah items that I can seriously be lost for hours!!

Yelp
Really great products here but the deli needs to get their act together. Every time I'm there it seems like I'm waiting forever for my order. No sense of urgency or attentiveness. Rude service and slow. Suggestion: if you want food just take what's already pre made and run!

Yelp
Extremely unprofessional manager or at least I think he was management. Guy with long hair and a gotee beard told me I couldn't park in the parking lot in a handicap space with the flashers on, for a quick minute. Right when I was running in to pick up an order. Seemed like he was on acid, more concerned about inventory and parking spaces than customer service. They are gonna loose customers with that rude employee!!!! Such a shame!!!

Yelp
Lassens Natural Foods & Vitamins in Los Feliz is overpriced on produce and a lot of the beverage products, however, they are deemed organic. So, I stick to supplements and deli orders. Try a refrigerated cupcake. Wait 15-minutes for a fresh made salad or sandwich. Walk around and fill your basket. Wonder how you got coupons here... And use them all. As a matter of fact, I found out today.... they have a weekly sales circular. If you don't get one in the mail, look at the register before you start shopping, because there's a flyer posted up on there. Cheers to good health.

Yelp
I'm love lassens, it has a great selection of holistic / natural foods and beverages; both prepared and pre-made. It's a lot like Whole Foods, but I enjoy the hot bar here better. Whole Foods only beats them in two ways, one they have a slightly larger variety of stuff, and secondly some of their locations prepare custom items that are previously raw on their grill exactly how you want it and lassens doesn't have the space for that. Outside of that lassens is better in many other ways. If you're vegan lassens highly excels in their vegan food, I'm not vegan and their vegan black pepper steak makes my mouth water, it's incredible. The vegan raw pizza is awesome too but make sure to get the one they make in house not the branded one that they get from another company. The eggs for breakfast exceed my expectations by leaps and bounds. They have a wide variety of healthy chips and other snacks, many made from co pled carbs and low glycemic sweeteners. For the price this is the best place you can go, erwehon might be a small step ahead but the price is double so I choose lassens hands down. The employees are very friendly and helpful just like you would expect they should be at a higher end supermarket, and they have a strong customer satisfaction policy regarding returns on items not enjoyed for any reasons; no questions asked! As I write this, I'm wanting to go back, I think I'll do that right now, thanks for reading!
