What a fantastic sled dog experience! From the beginning in the warm yurt fragrent with candles and soft chairs, matching hangers nice job Amanda.....every lovely touch was part of the experience. Chase was fantastic and my daughter and I had a very fun and frosty ride. The dogs are incredibly energetic and athletic. We learned from Chase about feeding and caring for them as well as the team work involved with pulling the sled. We left with a great appreciation for the for grit it takes to race with a team of dogs over 1000 miles in -30. Very admirable. Thank you for a lovely stunning, beautiful ride.

The best thing we did during our short trip to Fairbanks. Highly recommend to anyone interested in a super unique adventure and great trail views. We met every dog individually and they were so excited once they started getting clipped in, you have to see it with your own eyes. The 7 miles along the Yukon quest trail was fantastic and I would do again the next time I visit!

We had a phenomenal experience with Last Frontier! Our musher (I think that’s the right term?), Chase, was super personable and really took the time to talk with us about all things related and unrelated to dog-sledding. The whole place had an awesome, chill but professional vibe, and I couldn’t say enough good things about the people and dogs that make it happen. Thank you so much for making our trip up there worth it!

Excellent experience. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and taught us about the history of mushing and how the dogs are cared for. Beautiful trail. Definitely recommend. Thanks for keeping us warm!

This was a highlight of my visit to Alaska. Chase was our guide. Very down to earth and kind person. He introduced us to each dog that was there for our session and gave us insight into each one. I knew nothing about dog mushing and walked away learning a lot about it while also having great fun and bonding with the dogs a bit. Highly recommended. Thanks Chase!

If you are planning a trip to AlaskaI, I highly recommend Last Frontier Mushing Co-op its an absolutely unforgettable experience! The guide was so welcoming and knowledgeable, and you can tell how much he cares about the sled dogs. We got to meet the dogs, learn about mushing, and then enjoy an incredible ride through the Alaskan wilderness. The dogs were friendly, energetic, and clearly well-loved as they were happy to give kisses to anyone who wanted one! The tour was well organized, and the guides made it fun while also teaching us about the history and lifestyle of dog mushing. Highly recommend this excursion to anyone visiting Fairbanks – it’s authentic and truly one-of-a-kind!

We road with Chase today as a family of 5. Chase is the kindest human. His knowledge of the area plus his archaeology background made for some reallt interesting conversations. He was a great sport with our 8, 10, and 12 year old, answering all their questions, managing their requests to make it bumpy and go fast. While we did not get to see a moose on this trip, Chase tried his best with multiple stops offs and extra time to try and figure out where they were hanging today. Thank you Chase for a memorable experience!

My husband and I joined a one-hour dog sledding adventure, and our guide, Chase, was incredibly professional and entertaining. Throughout the journey, we had great conversations that helped me gain a deeper understanding of the history and techniques of dog sledding, as well as many fascinating stories about Alaska. The scenery along the way was breathtaking, and the entire experience felt very safe—I highly recommend it to everyone! During our chat, Chase even taught me a few commands used to guide the dogs, and in return, we taught him how to pronounce them in Chinese. We also joked about him visiting Taiwan someday to experience the weather there—haha! I truly hope our paths cross again in the future. Wishing you all the best, Chase! :)

Yelp
Where to start- how about best dog sled experience ever! Felt like a private tour through a beautiful forest and across the meadow. We even got to see a sundog. You could tell the dogs were well loved and that they loved their job. I appreciated the warm parka, pants and boots as they kept us warm. Also appreciates the warm yurt to hang out before the tour. I've been dogsledding before this women owned business does it right. Chris was an excellent guide and wouldn't change a thing. The place was easy to find- follow directions do not follow google maps or Waze. Lots of signs once you turn off Chena HWY. We were staying at Chena Hot Springs and so glad we opted for this run instead of the 20 min run at the resort.

Yelp
Only chance to do this activity as we're in Alaska to view the Aurora Borealis. Travis &. Chris, the two mushers were very informative about the dogs doing the pulling. The dog's personality with regards their place in line. Dogs are extremely friendly and well behave. Not sure if we'll get another chance to do this activity as we're able to view the Aurora Borealis 3 out of the 5 nights we're up to catch the viewing

Yelp
What a great experience mushing !! Chase was an amazing guide who took the time to educate us about mushing and let us get to know all the dogsWe went in the woods along a gorgeous trail and watch the dogs lead us. I highly recommend it! Chase was awesome!

Yelp
We booked the summer mushing experience and had a wonderful time. Chase was very kind, and obviously passionate about his dogs and about the sport. He took the time to answer all our questions, introduced us to all the dogs one by one, and even stopped to take pictures of our group with the dogs.

Yelp
Wow. What an amazing team of people to share this incredible experience with! Matt, Ryne and Luther were very knowledgeable, patient and flexible. They truly know their sport and their animals that live to run! We were able to ask ALL the questions we had, pet ALL of the dogs in the yard, AND play with a puppy once we were done! They taught us how to harness, and told us about each dogs personality, strengths and weaknesses. They had extra clothing, boots and snacks, including puppy chow (my favorite!) I highly recommend Last Frontier to anyone looking for an authentic, organized and accommodating group of individuals that support each other and their love for mushing. Go check them out!

Yelp
Our family had Laura as a guide and she was great! You can tell that the dogs love her and she takes really good care of them! If you are in the area, check her out!

Yelp
This was the most fun, exhilarating and beautiful experience I have had in a long time! I did the 1 1/2h private sled tour, but was there much longer hanging out playing and cuddling with the dogs. They are all so sweet and cuddly with super fun personalities. Lora was amazing, - very caring and fun to spend time with, and she genuinely seemed to want to give the absolute best experience. She asked if I wanted to learn and help harness and set up the dogs which was super cool. It was really cold outside, but she gave me another pair of ski pants, jacket and huge boots to put on outside my own winter clothes and covered me in furs in the sled so I was warm and cozy. I highly recommend this mushing tour and was SO happy I chose to go with them!! I would give them a hundred stars if I could, but unfortunately the rating only goes to 5. My only word of advise is to print out and and carefully follow the driving instructions. I have T-mobile and lost my signal as soon as I left Fairbanks. Luckily if you have location on on your phone and enter in your destination, Google maps still works and will take you there, and once you get close there are signs to follow so it's easy. Also -look out for moose, I saw 7 of them in 4 different places on my way back, beautiful!! Going back to the sled tour - book it, you won't regret it!

Yelp
Rhine, Tyler, Matt, Amanda and their dogs treated our family to a beautiful ride with inspiring dog-mushing and cooperative tales. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND the Last Frontier Dog-Mushing Co-op to anyone seeking an Alaskan dog-mushing adventure. Professional guides with gentle souls, beautiful scenery, healthy/happy dogs, reindeer, a hand-painted Mongolian yurt...we discovered an extraordinary place, people, experience. We'll be cheering for Rhino and Smokin Aces kennels to win races and for Last Frontier Dog Mushing Co-op to thrive!

Yelp
Our guide Luther was awesome in answering all the questions my group had. Everyone was really friendly, and even offered snakes at the end. Learning about the dogs and their little quirks was fantastic. This excursion is well worth it and a must if your in Alaska.

Cheyenne B.

Yelp
This group of fascinating mushers are just great people. They go all out to ensure you have a once in a lifetime experience pulling out all the stops. The food is good, they create an amazing atmosphere at their kennel, and they also take time to educate on the sport and taking care of dogs. It is so inspiring to see people living their dreams and taking time to educate people about their craft.

Yelp
This sled dog tour made our first Alaska experience worth it! Amanda and Luther were great - they were very friendly and personable about their mushing experience. We loved getting to play with and hook up the dogs - it wasn't just a sled dog tour, it truly was a hands on experience. We even got to play with some puppies at the end! 10/10 would come back to Last Frontier Mushing!!
