15 happy hour deals to cheers to in Singapore - SilverKris

"A Scandi‑minimal cocktail bar on Purvis Street focused on classic cocktails executed with precision; a dedicated happy hour menu runs daily from 5pm–7pm with $16 tipples and complimentary oden (a Japanese hot‑pot of assorted fish cakes). Signature choices include the Jungle Bird (Havana Club rum, Campari, pineapple, lime) and the Rob Roy, and the venue’s house‑named Last Word is available from the regular menu for those seeking a standout finish." - Ben Chin

Great bar, worth to book ahead, they can get busy. Well made standards and interesting creations. Their bloody Mary was excellent and the last word is their namesake so worth to try too. During my last visit I tried above two cocktails and Tonkatsu sendo. Payed 100 SGD.

Very classy bar. Love that staff all have old school attire on (white button up shirts, bow ties). Drinks are super good & unique. The Last word (if you have never heard of this drink it’s bc your drink level is still amateur) was the best we have tried in Singapore. Many drink options for different pallets…you may not like them all but they are all made with high quality ingredients and blended for perfection. The inside is nice sized and makes you feel like you are in a very intimate setting…lights are a bit dark so be prepared. Not sure why this isn’t in the top 50 bars of Asia and the Nutmeg (located at the bottom level of Last Ward) is??? Haven’t been to nutmeg so I guess that will be next on the list

One of our favourite bars in Singapore! Cocktails are always on point even though every time I come I drink all the time the same cocktail, cause it’s the BEST Bloody Mary in Singapore. Big kudos to Giap and the team, they always take a good care about us ❤️

Popped in on a Sunday evening for a relaxing drink before the week kicked off. Last Word had just the right vibe — perfectly crafted drinks and a cozy atmosphere. The complimentary oden was such a pleasant surprise and absolutely delicious!

The first thing that stood out? Unlike most bars stacked with liquor bottles, this one keeps it super minimal—just shelves of sleek glassware. The bartender told us they focus on classic cocktails, with a small rotating seasonal menu. We went for a seasonal pick: watermelon. So refreshing! And here’s the best part—order a drink, and you get a free bowl of oden. As a certified foodie, I was sold. How cool is that?

I love how chill it is, and the bartenders are really friendly. Their drinks were great and I particularly enjoyed the seasonal menu that included Matcha - I'm basic like that. We tried quite a lot of the food on their menu and it was pretty good, except that most were served lukewarm or cold. Steak was tender but a bit too much salt. Potato salad and fries were good - cannot go wrong with those. Fries were similar to the seaweed shaker fries from McDonald's but more fluffy. What I cannot forgive is the cold oden. There are some non-negotiables for food and temperature is one of them. Granted they heated it up (only the soup, the other ingredients were still cold) when we shared the feedback, but it ruined the entire point of Oden, and they should have checked before serving.

Last word is a creative cocktail bar brought you by the same people who own Nutmeg and Clove downstairs. It is a Japanese inspired, restrained space where cocktails are the focus, there’s champagne by the glass and wine only comes by the bottle. The focused bar snacks menu churns out “snacks” the size of main course sizes. It’s an intimate venue. The food service does get backed up but the cocktails keep flowing. Look out for the seasonal menu in particular.
