Nice Latin restaurant inside the Lakeside Inn & Casino. We were not sure what to expect, but it was a smaller restaurant adjacent to the casino. It wasn't too loud, despite being next to the gaming. The servers were all very nice and helpful. As to the food, my wife had the Ribeye in a creamy pepper sauce and shrimp. It was better than she expected. I had the chicken fajitas. A tad salty for my taste, but still cooked perfectly and had a great taste. The house margarita was also good, but very strong. To finish, we had the trees leches cake. It was also delicious. All-in-all a great experience.

My husband declared his meal one of the best ever. I agree that I have never had a better Chili Verde. Everything looked and tasted amazing. Sadly, we left half a plate each since the dinner was huge.

I took a star off for two reasons. First is the eggs I received were under cooked. Granted I still ate most of them but I can eat almost anything. Next is the waitress was pretty rude. The hashbrowns were very good.

A gem of a restaurant in the Lakeside Casino. The food was a cut above your average Mexican restaurant. I started with a prickly pear cactus margarita which was a beautiful violet color and very tasty. We sampled the succulent chicken special with a side of perfectly fried sweet moist plantains. There were quite a few vegetable dishes on the menu and they all sounded good. Our other dish was a sampler plate with very good carne asada, corn and cheese enchilada and excellent creamy light refried beans. Portions were generous, prices reasonable and service was friendly and efficient. Can't wait to return and try more dishes!

This is one of S. Lake Tahoe's hidden gems. Tucked into a corner of the Lakeside Inn Casino, the first thing one notices is the decor. It has been thoughtfully done with a muted color scheme and a comfortable modern theme. More importantly, the food is excellent. The menu is fascinating with unusual ingredients combined to create subtle and complex flavors. Be clear, this is not a typical Mexican restaurant. The chef has genuinely put a great deal of skill and thought into each dish with most of the menu items being unique. Definately try the Aztec soup: Chicken, cactus, roasted peppers, corn, epazote Even breakfast surprises. I highly recommend the "Divorced eggs": Toasted corn tortillas, black beans, Oaxaca cheese, guacamole, two sunny side up eggs, carne asada, bacon, arbol chili salsa, salsa verde, crema, cotija, onion, cilantro Further everything is beautifully presented. As for the service. It was exceedingly friendly and attentive. To sum up: This is one of two places we will always eat in S. Lake.

Excellent tasting food. Not your usual Latin American offerings. I had the mixed grill. Came in a heavy stone bowl. Shrimp, chicken, steak , stuffed peppers. Yummy.

Is not a wow place. Food was a lil bit greasy but good taste. Is located at a casino were smoking is allowed inside. So if u dont smoke i do not recommend.

Not good at all. No peruvian flavor here. Had the lomo saltaldo and it tasted bad. The fish taco I had was ok but there is no Peruvian chef here.
