I traveled to Latitude Zero in 2022 and 2024 and left disappointed the second time. In 2024 the surf guilds were far too young. They struggled connecting with the guests as well as taking waves off the guests who were paying $900 p/n to stay there. At that price that didn’t include wifi, no free soft drink or even a free beer. I think with the service going down hill and the price going up I’d suggest finding another luxury resort.

Coming from Hawaii, it was an adventure just getting to Resort Latitude Zero, 4 plane rides and one boat ride. The resort itself is first class. Rooms are comfortable, air conditioned and private. Food is tasty, and staff friendly and always helpful. Cam, the resort manager went out of his way to take me spearfishing while everyone else was out surfing. ||I was surprised at how FEW game fish were around. Although remote, the area is heavily fished by the locals, and they are happy to receive ANY fish. Although I was lucky to get a SMALL dogtooth tuna and saw a whale shark, I would NOT recommend this area as a spearfishing destination. ||Although we traveled during the shoulder season (last week of March), with a number of breaks to choose from, waves were always available. The boat captains are friendly and knowledgeable and do their best to accommodate all skill sets. ||Definitely a world class surf destination, with an all star staff.||YouTube OAHUSQUID to check out a video of our trip. |||||

I visited the resort as a non surfer and it was still an amazing experience. The place is stunning. The staff is extremely friendly and always smiling. The food was as good as the best restaurants and lovely presentation as well. All the other guests were surfers and spoke highly about the surf and the surf guides. Everything was a positive experience.

Couldn’t have been better. |We were the first post Covid group in two years and yet everything was in perfect working order and rooms were excellent. Credit must go to manager Dave who not only is a great guy but seems to be able to maintain and fix anything. |The vibe at the resort was so good and everyone so helpful. Special thanks to surf guides Ned,Luke,Sparrow and boat captains Andre and Roi. A wonderful bunch of guys. Then the food , wow, brilliant , great chefs , tons of variety and wonderfully looked after by Woi Woi and staff. |Despite almost incessant rain and devil winds we got good waves every day . The surf boats are the best I have ever seen. |I am in the hospitality business and this operation is all round so impressive.

The place was wonderful, food amazing & the resort impeccably constructed & maintained & for the first time for an Indo trip no one got sick. We had 10 active surfers on our boat including the guide which resulted in an instant crowd, apart from that had a good time.

We had heard good things about this resort so even though the price was very expensive we decided to save up and make it happen. We were not at all disappointed with the resort, the resort is amazing a true paradise on the most beautiful island ever, food was amazing, staff friendly and helpful (all 5 star) However when it came to surfing we were quite disappointed, on the website it all looks great, so many waves with awesome descriptions and photos and an impression that all is uncrowded. However we soon learned the reality is most of these waves rarely break and the resort is very far from any consistent waves so every day we needed to travel quite far to waves either south or north, because of this we had to stay on the boat all day or call it an early day with no option to surf at or near the resort. (meaning my wife either had to come with us and sit on the boat or was stuck at the resort alone) We were also under the impression the waves would be fairly uncrowded, this was also not the case, most of the time there were quite a few other boats from resorts or charter boats surfing with us, there was even times when there was two boats from our resort at the same break creating an instant crowd. Talking to other guest, apparently in the past the area was very uncrowded and the resort had a much lower guest capacity so crowds were never an issue. To be honest having also surfed the Mentawais, i would rather return to the Mentawais although also crowded the spots just seem to handle a crowd better and the waves are of a much more consistent better quality.

Had an amazing week at RLZ. The resort was well designed and very comfortable. The food was great. The staff were next level - friendly and knowledgable. Being centred in Telos Island area with good boats allows day trips all over the area. I will be back

The guys at RLZ have thought of every detail a surfer could wish for when wanting a surfing holiday. The food is exceptional, the surf guides are customer focused on getting great waves and the rooms are excellent
