Lato hotel is an intimate place where you will receive a warm welcome. We were treated like friends, from the moment we arrived. Our room was well appointed, perhaps recently decorated. Breakfast, delicious. Enough choice for both mine and my hubs different tastes. Delicious homemade cakes and biscuits too! As for the pool, previous reviews had us slightly worried about whether there could be lack of shade - because we’re pale English. But there’s enough for everyone, especially as you get to know the other guests and you chat together and can move up/around. |Lovely bar- and staff - who again- treat you like pals from day one! Lovely views from the roof terrace too. We had a wonderful time here and will happily come again - thank you all for an amazing stay!

Lovely hotel just a short walk to promanade and beach, then 15 minute walk into town. The hotel is very clean and all the staff friendly. Have stayed here many times before but had not been for 7 years. Felt right at home as soon as we got to hotel the welcome we got. George George and Van still as helpful with whatever you need. Lovely Jeanette is still doing lovely food at lunchtime and keeps the conversation flowing around the bar of an evening. Good selection of tastey food on offer at breakfast served with a smile by staff.

Lovely 10 day stay here. Great location away from busy centre but close enough to walk. Some lovely restaurants close by. Only five mins walk from Ormos beach which was our favourite. Very quiet and unspoilt. The staff, especially the kitchen ladies and cleaners are all so friendly and welcoming. Loved the buffet breakfasts, plenty of choice. Rooms were serviced daily and the hotel was very clean. Got upgraded to a sea view room half way through our holiday and the views were stunning! Thank you Lato for a wonderful holiday.

Lato Hotel is a very charming place. There”s a big front yard with palms and flowers. The pool is great with plenty of space for guests to relax and enjoy the sun. Parking is spacious and convenient for both cars and bikes. Breakfast can be enjoyed outdoors with a beautiful view. The rooms could be a bigger, but the service more than makes up for it—everyone is incredibly kind, attentive, and always willing to help. Cleanliness is outstanding, with sheets and towels changed every other day. Overall, a wonderful stay with a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

We’re just back from Agios Nikolaos, Crete, and had an amazing time! Lato hotel was perfect - all the staff, from reception to kitchen to bar staff, to cleaning staff were so friendly and helpful. |I am vegan and want to give a special shout out to the kind breakfast team who went out of their way to make sure I was catered for - they bought in houmous, tahini, and non-dairy milk, and had at least one homemade product that was vegan each day (usually Cretan cookies which were yum!). |The hotel location and size was spot on, lovely pool to sit by & far enough away from the centre to be quiet but close enough to walk down to the nearest beaches for a swim and to the town for an evening meal. Loads of restaurants to choose from with great sea views. |And the best thing ever - on the day you check out the hotel are very happy for you to store your luggage, hang out by the pool and keep the hotel towels, and there’s even a special shower room for you to clean up before leaving! |We went with EasyJet holidays who were good value and very efficient - worth checking out. Only downside was the air con wasn’t included so we had to pay an extra 8 euros a day when there, but not a problem as we knew about that in advance. |We’d definitely recommend both Agios Nikolaos and Lato Hotel and hope to visit again one day!! Thank you!!!

We arrived at 3am and were greeted by Nikos who was friendly and had cold bottles of water and a quick check in ready for us! The pool is lovely, never too crowded and gets the sun all day (but there are plenty of shaded options too). The staff make this hotel, from the men at reception to the breakfast ladies and bar staff, Sally and Jeanette - who makes an outstanding Aperol Spritz! The rooms are clean and the air conditioning is well worth it. The location is great, a 20min walk into Agios and a short taxi ride to Elounda (17eu). We would definitely stay here again!

Nice and cosy atmosphere. Really friendly staff. Jeanett in “the baaaaa” makes a fantastic G&T 😍 The room with a seaview is recommendable. The breakfast is also great and every morning they make small changes in variation. The homemade lemonade is really tasty.

We had a pleasant, spontaneous one-night stay here. It was what we needed from Agios Nikolaos - quiet and a little bit separate from the busy town centre. The breakfast buffet was relaxed and easy going. The room was fine. The workers were pleasant and helpful. We would go back. Thanks guys, have a great summer!
