The Historic Columbia River Highway Takes Visitors Through 'Waterfall Alley'
"Plunging 224 feet over a basalt cliff, this relatively accessible waterfall is noted for its shockingly tall drop and the iconic wooden bridges visible along the Latourell Falls Loop Trail, which crosses Henderson Creek; it’s regarded as a hidden gem on the route and pairs well with a short visit to its nearby, lesser-known neighbor." - Evie Carrick

Beautiful spot but also a popular one hard to find parking whenever I have gone. Parking is free if you can find a spot.
Short little quarterish mile hike down to the base of the falls. If you keep going on the trail we'll take you underneath the bridge - keep going on the path and it will take you to the top of the falls (about another mile loop) just don't miss the log bridge that loops you over the creek and back towards the lower falls

The lower falls is very easy to see.
You can go to the bottom much easier than the upper falls. Although the upper falls is not that taxing. There are some spots that may cause someone with height issues to question going.

One of the prettiest falls along old Highway 30 in the gorge. It is a short easy walk down to the base of the falls where there are many good photo vantage points. There is also a good view of one of the original road bridges on the scenic byway.

Hike the stairs to the first view area and get a beautiful view. Or go to the bottom and feel the Mist of the water. Get real close! 😀
Or take the path across the bride.

A gorgeous waterfall that with only a short walk you can hike right up to from the trailhead. If you're planning a drive along the corridor for waterfalls definitely add this one to your list.

Easy stop, going either direction on the Historic Hwy. If you don't have time for a lengthy hike, this is a great stop. Take 1 minutes to walk to the top of the stairs, to get an amazing view of the falls. There is a restroom too...

This is a gorgeous waterfall near the Columbia River Gorge scenic route and a MUST see, especially if you’re not going to Multnomah. There’s wayyyy less people and it’s just as beautiful, maybe even more so because you can get super close. Highly recommend visiting.
