The Best Bars in Athens for Wine, Tapas, and Acropolis Views | Condé Nast Traveler

"An open-air skate-bowl garden-shed space, Latraac blends a laid-back café vibe with experimental electronic music, DJ sets, occasional gigs, and a plywood skate bowl designed and built by skater-architect Zachos Varfis. You can hang out in the garden with a spiked apricot soda or a Latraac Mule and watch skaters until the ramp closes at 10:30; Latraac operates May to October, and patrons migrate to nearby cultural venues in the off-season." - Rachel Howard, Katie Silcox

"In a derelict empty lot in the trendy-but-scruffy neighborhood of Kerameikos, architect and sometime skateboarder Zarchos Varfis saw potential: In summer 2017 (after some serious crowdfunding, connecting, and fundraising) he opened Latraac, a curvy plywood skate bowl he designed for the lot, and a "skate café" toexist alongside it. The skate bowl is free for the public to use; it also serves as a performance and event space. Latraac has fast become a popular hangout and a symbol of the DIY culture cropping up amidst the city’s ongoing economic crisis."

Why You Should Stay in Athens on Your Next Trip To Greece—and Not Just Pass Through

"Latraac is a hybrid cafe and skate park built by architect Zachos Varfis, transforming into a dance floor as the night progresses."

One of the best, most relaxing and fun spaces in Athens! I’ve spent many summer nights there and cherish each time.

Vibes ~ there is a skate bowl (about half), varing levels of height to drop in. You have to pay a small fee to skate. Great spot for a beer or drink

Great little spot in Athens. Good music and character. A perfect place to finish your day and relax with friends.

Nice place with a wooden skateboarding bowl inside. However the barmaid was sour, looked like annoyed by any question I have asked. Refusing to mix a drink from soda and vodka, then I have paid 18€ for a drink of 2 shots of rum (1 shot = 4€) and a bit of cola.

Why always attack your costumers. Bad service. Just rude. Skated for 21 years now. Worste place i ever been. Just skip this one, you will doe your self a service. Just look at the comments. (And no) they asked me to leave to.?? Its simply not true what the owner says. But its looks good to say to the other person that comments. (congratulations you the first to get kicked out). Not groundet in reality. Nice.!

Transition of the bowl is very nice 👌🏼 Old wood - so it‘s slow… beware - and go fast ;) Service is super low. Unfriendly. Bad vibes. Not recommended. — We have 3 children (1, 5 and 9 yrs old), paid the club fee (so dad can skate) and cleaned the ramp (thanks for the broom). Yes - the kids did what young kids do - play. We were the obly guests so no one got bothered. We did not order any drinks as the staff was so unpolite. Even when we said goodbye the staff tried to avoid and ignore us. Hope the mood at this location will be a better one in the future 💯❤️ For me, Skateboarding is about community, diversity and integration - no matter the age, skin color or how many children you got. ❤️🛹 a global love.
