As many reviewers noticed, the location of the hotel is on a side alley and there are homeless and drug addicts that are loitering around which makes it feel very unsafe and pretty unnerving. If I were alone as a woman I would not want to stay here and would be terrified. The hotel and rooms are clean, staff are really friendly, but everything is tired and worn out. There is no AC, and you can only open a very small window in the room, so it was very hot and stuffy. No coffee facilities in the room, in the bathroom there is only soap and shampoo and nothing else. The pool is a small pond, pretty crowded and not really for swimming, it is more like a tub. In the evening a lot of people are hanging around the pool, our room was facing the courtyard which was nice, but everyone hanging out in the garden could see us and we could see them. The breakfast is good and there is plenty of choice, but as a number of people wrote you have to cook your own eggs which is a bit odd. This place has very much a hostel feel, it looks like that on the outside, tue amenities are like that, and we couldn't believe that we arrived to a 4 star hotel when we reached the address. This could probably suit young adults and/or students, but for us there was too much left to be desired for, especially for that price and we were disappointed with our stay. We expected a lot more and felt this was not at all value for money. We chose this hotel because we wanted to be in Ixelles as we heard it is a nice area of Brussels, but for the price we paid we could have gotten a lot more comfort in a much nicer and safer location..
