Today, July 10th, was Thirsty Thursday. I have been going for the last couple of months. Sometimes or most times, the lines are very long. I have heard several complaints about how long the wait can be and how taxing it can be on the elderly. Some have issues with their knees, back, neck, etc...I have noticed the last couple of weeks, people are bringing folding chairs. Today, was no different.
When Ms. Anita, Marketing Coordinator, started her normal routine of scanning your phone and then giving you a ticket, I kindly asked her if there are any discussions as to how we can improve this process. Ms. Anita's reply was, "WELL, YOU KNOW, YOU DON'T HAVE TO STAND HERE". I said, yes, I know I don't have to, but I would like to have the gift. A few other words were exchanged, but the implication was, if you don't want to stand, DON'T COME!
I was very upset, as I felt Ms. Anita's comments were very, very, rude, very disrespectful and very unprofessional. She was also very inconsiderate.
I went in to the casino and I was looking for a Manager. I eventually noted a Manager and Security Officer. They were having a conversation and I eventually interrupted and expressed my concern. The Manager assured me that Ms. Anita's Supervisor will be informed. I sincerely hope that my feedback will be taken seriously. I hope that Ms. Anita will be given a mandate to take on line courses on interpersonal skills, empathy and emotional intelligence, effective communication...etc.
Thanks to the Manager and Security Officer for listening to my concerns.
I enjoy LAUBERGE Casino, but this was truly unprofessional and rude.
