Where to Stay in Baton Rouge, Louisiana | Condé Nast Traveler

"Set on the Mississippi River about a 10-minute drive from LSU, L’Auberge functions as Baton Rouge’s destination resort — part casino, part retreat — with an expansive single-level casino floor, a rooftop pool, and multiple dining options that keep guests entertained on-site; what distinguishes it is the scale and contrast of high-energy public spaces paired with surprisingly tranquil rooms, delivering a full-service entertainment experience rather than just a place to sleep." - Jessica Chapel

We only went to the concert by Billy Bob Thornton and the boxmasters. But we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves the concert was fantastic the cover group that came on before them there was exceptional and Billy Bob and his group knocked it out of the park. My thanks to L'Auberge for opening their doors to Billy Bob and his group I apologize for not remember the name. We had great seats actually I don't believe there's any bad seat in the house. Looking forward to the next time I'm available to go to one of yalls events.

I am never one to write a bad review. We stayed here this past Saturday for our wedding anniversary. When we walked in our room, it smelled like mildew and cigarette. Not to mention the hair on our towels and the doors being dirty. The smell was so bad in the shower that I didn’t even want to get in it. When we mentioned the smell to staff a room spray was just sprayed in the room. Which of course did not mask the stench… It was an extremely disappointing experience and unfortunately we will not be returning.

Dealers and staff were friendly and helpful, especially for someone like me who’s not a high roller. I appreciated the drink service while playing—fast and consistent. The bar area had a nice vibe too, perfect for taking a break between games.

Google
This place was an absolute gem. We travel quite a bit and have found that really good customer service can be hard to find, but this hotel and casino is top notch. Every staff member we encountered was kind and helpful. Very hospitable, welcoming, and accommodating from valet to check in to the casino and restaurant to housekeeping. The rooms were nice, well-kept, and best of all very clean! The casino was undergoing a bit of reconstruction, but those areas were sectioned off and the rest of the casino was open with good tables, great dealers and lots of machines. We had dinner at 18 Steak and had a beautiful view of the sunset over the Mississippi River. All in all a great place for a little getaway. We will be back!

Love this casino!! A ton of new slots, nice selection of food and drink choices. There are two smoking areas located outside of the main floor. One has tables, the other slots. Beyond the smoking areas are decks with seating overlooking the Mississippi River. Awesome!!

Google
Everything about this place was amazing except for the rooms. I am only giving a low rating out of concern and not because the staff did anything wrong. I cannot praise them enough, but the casino firm absolutely needs to do something about the carpet in the rooms and the smoking issue. This casino was the safest place for my kids and I to stay as we passed through Baton Rouge. We had to be put in 4 different rooms. We settled on the floor that hadn't been shampooed. The room still stunk to high heaven of cigarettes. Tip for management: Get rid of that carpet. The shear amount of mildew smell is enough to knock you off your feet. Special smoke-free rooms can be designated for those with kids. I can't be the only patron who has brought a kid with them. I get a certain kind of customer is served, but sometimes safety drives people to stay in casinos and we shouldn't be forced to subject our kids to an environmental hazard. Everything else was fine. The people were so friendly but the smell in the rooms was so bad.

Google
I personally would not recommend anyone to visit this place with any hopes of winning off the slot machines. I've come here a total of 7 times while waiting for traffic die down before heading home from work. This place will not pay you anything. I am not a sore loser by no means. I just can't wrap my mind around not hearing any slots go off. I am not making this up ..This place will rob you blind of you allow it to. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE TO GAMBLE. STAY AWAY FROM HERE!!!!

Yelp
Very clean rooms with a great view of the Mississippi river. Friendly, accommodating staff and had a very good Thanksgiving dinner at the buffet. Gambling was fun, even won some money!!

Yelp
I have stayed here before and enjoyed it, the casino is nice and all the staff I encountered were nice. However with in 10 minutes of getting settled in to my room, some mysterious substance in my ice bucket tray and on the cups got all over my shirt and hands, after calling room service and front desk, I received a text that they would be sending a room inspector. After about15-20 minutes a very nice young lady showed up who spoke very little to no English. There was no other concern from the staff, they couldn't answer what the substance was? You can imagine what it looks like!(bodily fluid?) At 350.00 per night my room was dirty and beat up, not what I would expect at that price point. I travel a lot and stay at some sketch places, but have to say this room was one of the worst. I know this establishment can do better and certainly do better with house keeping YOU CAN DO BETTER!!!

Yelp
Nice staff. Let me begin by saying that this review has absolutely nothing to do with the staff. Don't come here on a Sunday cuz half of it is closed. Steakhouse, store and coffee shop. Now I know that sounds like not a lot of places but with a place this small it's a lot. Took an Uber to get dinner one night and then to get coffee the next morning. The one club that was open is very clicky and the tables are full of regulars.

Jamie N.

Yelp
Blood and urine on beds. Was switched to another room and same on bedding. Went to say I just want to leave and would not refund me. Lady at checkout was complaining of same thing on her linens ALSO! That's disgusting!

Yelp
We haven't been in years and many things have changed. The decor is still amazing, well kept and smells great. We ate at Bon Temps as they've finally brought back all you can eat now crab legs. We went on a Friday and waited in a short line when they opened at 4pm. After reading comments online we knew to get there early. It's not even Buffett style anymore. You order crabs and they bring you a bucket or pan with 3 clusters of legs, 1 potato and 1 corn cob. Now I'm not filling up on this sides cause I want my moneys worth. It was $39.99 a person for the crabs. The waitress would come peek and see if you was running low and then she would bring you another bucket or pan of crabs. I noticed that some people was ordering food off the menu so if you didn't want crab legs you wasn't getting charged for that just whatever you ordered. Again, no buffet! We was thrilled to have a much closer drive and it was also cheaper than where we've been going for years.

Yelp
I've stayed here many times. But this stay was a bad experience. It took 20 minutes to check in. There was a line of 4 customers and only one person at the front desk. At 5p that seemed like a mistake. My room was tired. The desk was all chewed up and the tv mount was broken. No fridge in the room and although I asked to have my room cleaned, I didn't get any cleaning or new towels or coffee for my stay. I don't think I'll be back

Yelp
I enjoy attending conferences at L'Auberge, and this visit did not disappoint. I attended a conference called Curate. It was fantastic, and the food choices were better than any conference food I've ever had. The quality of the conference and the food was superb.

Yelp
Today, July 10th, was Thirsty Thursday. I have been going for the last couple of months. Sometimes or most times, the lines are very long. I have heard several complaints about how long the wait can be and how taxing it can be on the elderly. Some have issues with their knees, back, neck, etc...I have noticed the last couple of weeks, people are bringing folding chairs. Today, was no different. When Ms. Anita, Marketing Coordinator, started her normal routine of scanning your phone and then giving you a ticket, I kindly asked her if there are any discussions as to how we can improve this process. Ms. Anita's reply was, "WELL, YOU KNOW, YOU DON'T HAVE TO STAND HERE". I said, yes, I know I don't have to, but I would like to have the gift. A few other words were exchanged, but the implication was, if you don't want to stand, DON'T COME! I was very upset, as I felt Ms. Anita's comments were very, very, rude, very disrespectful and very unprofessional. She was also very inconsiderate. I went in to the casino and I was looking for a Manager. I eventually noted a Manager and Security Officer. They were having a conversation and I eventually interrupted and expressed my concern. The Manager assured me that Ms. Anita's Supervisor will be informed. I sincerely hope that my feedback will be taken seriously. I hope that Ms. Anita will be given a mandate to take on line courses on interpersonal skills, empathy and emotional intelligence, effective communication...etc. Thanks to the Manager and Security Officer for listening to my concerns. I enjoy LAUBERGE Casino, but this was truly unprofessional and rude.

Yelp
Service terrible and most restaurants closed except weekends. Slots are terrible and this place is pure scam.

Yelp
Stayes in the hotel July 10, the person at the front desk was very rude. Told me they didn't offer a military discount. Ok no problem, called the following day to let the manager know about the poor service and learned that they in fact offer a military discount. I will not be staying with them again.

Yelp
Lots of fun at the hotel and casino! Great food drink and entertainment venue! Great show and band afterwards! Looking forward to going back!

Yelp
I called the front desk a couple of weeks ago to inquire about a pool pass. I was told it would be $30 and I could pick it up there. Packed a bag and drove across town yesterday. When I asked about the pool pass, I was told that these were only available for week days. Would have been great if that was mentioned when I called.

Yelp
This was our first stop on a week long road trip. We stayed one night with excitement about gambling and The Marshall Tucker Band concert. First the positive remarks: The casino itself is clean, they have multiple areas to play slots & table games, there's a separate smoking area with a bar, a nice large patio overlooking the river and the gaming staff are all very nice. We enjoyed the concert venue. The acoustics were good and the large screens were helpful to see the performers better. Now, the not so positive: The room smelled of sulfur from the water and the water itself is very soft. Not that they can help this, but it's something to note. The big negative: We went to the restaurants after the concert to get a bite to eat. The first one we stopped at closed at 11:00 PM which was in 10 minutes, so we were told to try the Bar Stool bar/restaurant. Apparently, we arrived at almost shift change. The girl told us we had to wait for the next person to come on shift. It seemed like she didn't want to help us since she was about to leave. The next girl was running late, so we had to wait even longer. By time we actually got to order, the food selection was limited to 5 menu items and condiments were not available because "it was after regular time". I just wanted ranch, but I was told no. We split a shrimp po'boy with tater tots. The meal itself was very good (served in the wrapper only; no plate), but the service (with no smile), was very off putting. It's very obvious neither girl wanted to work. One bad service person is difficult, but TWO??! That's just poor staff. Lake Charles definitely has better service. What a shame to ruin your brand name because your employees don't want to do their job.

Yelp
We are big fans of L'Auberge casino. Let's talk BTR first since the casino is at most 15 minutes from excellent an excellent selection of restaurant from French, Italian, did I say Cajun!, middle eastern, Americana .. YUM As for the casino, 12 stories with a fitness center set on the great Mississippi River with a roof top pool and lots of live concerts we always enjoy visiting There's plenty to do and the services on site make this a great retreat with your spouse or the friends if your trying to get away

Yelp
STOPPED AT DOOR!! Came in for my wifes birthday, to be stopped at the door!! Staff at the front desk was rudely asking for identification the second we walked up and giving dirty looks the whole time. Then the after the male worker was staring at my wife he then felt "Uncomfortable" in what my was wearing...lol leggings and a halter top. Proceeded to tell us she needed to change....To our amazement after walking back down to the lot and allll the way back up. The girl at the counter said she could no longer enter...due to "policies". Definitely a great way to ruin someones birthday. Lauberge such a joke. Rude and definitely discriminating against a younger couple tonight.
google avatar

Yelp
We had a good experience other than a very rude valet person Frank. We were leaving the hotel and asked about our car and he snapped at us. We even told him he was rude and he went back to being consumed by his cellphone like nothing happened.

Tradd J.

Yelp
The good - - room was fine, nice shower, clean. - casino dealers are great for the most part. a few sour puss ones, but overall good people. - terrace outside is a great spot to chill for a bit, nice scenery. - complimentary drinks are great.. HOWEVER.. see below The bad- - the complimentary drink service was TERRIBLE! stayed this past weekend Friday to Monday. on tables all night Friday -- didn't get offered a SINGLE drink. nobody even came by the sportsbook table or the bubble craps up front.. pathetic. - the revolving door of LSU kids at tables got old fast. buying in for $20 at a time, losing and walking away, then another.. and another.. absolutely wrecking the table. - Saturday night the casino was overwhelmingly crowded, like overflow crowded.. and they were CLOSING tables. we walked up to multiple tables with 5 people as one was closing up, saying we would play for a while and use the entire table.. we were told straight to our face "too late" -- make that make sense. - comps are awful. played all weekend.. multiple tables and games for hours -- checked my players card in every time.. I racked up a solid $1.40 and like 400 points. couldn't even tip a meal with that. I would visit again, only because the hotel was solid and out of the way and the casino during the day was great. but at night it was miserable. I would've played $100 a hand to have the terrace table open!

T P.

Yelp
Great hotel and casino. Friendly staff and casino games were good. The ESPN BET Cafe has great food.

Grant T.

Yelp
Our stay At lauberge for my birthday was terrible. We checked in on 3/7 and out on 3/9. The moment we stepped into the room we could smell a terrible musty smell. This smell was bad throughout our stay. We figured out why it was so musty. The ac would not cool. It would not get cooler than 70 on high cool set to 64. Y'all ought to be ashamed of charging people that price for that room. I will not be coming back.
google avatar

Sarah C.

Yelp
Nice casino and I love that it's nonsmoking. We have been comped hotel rooms and they put us in a suite which is so nice. My only suggestion (besides loosening up those slots ha ha) would be to offer more food options, especially that are open later. The options are meh and pretty expensive for what you get.

Jonathan T.

Yelp
Casino always finds a way to not give you the COMPS that they give you. I have tried to use my comp room 5 times in the last 4 months and always the same situation, I am told we have rooms but unfortunately we do not have a comp room for you at this time. Many other Casinos in the area that actually would love to have you and treat you like the CUSTOMER that you are. Big thumbs down from me!! I would say catch you next time but tired of repeating myself..... WONT BE A NEXT TIME!!!

Donna K.

Yelp
Simply don't go. Here are the pros and cons Pros: It's on the same grounds as the casino/event center so all you have to do is walk across. There is a nice sized shower with a tv in the mirror in the bathroom. Cons: 1. Valet parking is the worst I have every experienced. Long lines. Vehicles left abandoned so first impressions were not good. We had to unload everything ourselves. 2. Check in staff was quite rude. 3. The hotel room was old, the carpet was extremely worn out and there was a musky smell in the room. 4. Walked over to the casino and checked out the place. The very limited number of food choices was unbelievably small. We had dried out leftover pastries from PJs cafe. We skipped lunch since there wasn't a variety. Sportsbook for dinner. The bacon potato chowder was water white soup with imitation bacon bits on top. The next day we tried the Asian fusion restaurant as take-out only. The basic buffet was $40 per person. Add better food and the price increased by $10 increments. 18 steakhouse opened late and reservations are needed. 5. The casino gets extremely packed and some tables weren't even open. 6. For the Jeff Dunham show, we were packed into this event room that was obviously not big enough for the audience. Those seats made the cheapest airline seats seem luxurious. 7. The show and leaving were the two best parts of the trip.

Yelp
Stayed here one night and totally enjoyed the casino and the Sportsbook restaurant. Had the baked potato soup and made me so happy!

Yelp
Air conditioning not work right, hot in casino, no ice in drink machine ,ticket cashing machine not working
google avatar

Jando S.

Yelp
There are quite a few casinos in Baton Rouge, but none come better (or newer) than L'Auberge (#1). Ever since it's hot debut from roughly a decade ago, it's become the best overall option for gaming in the city. It is the quintessential late night destination, a resort in its own right, and one of the most versatile venue spaces anywhere. It's been a turbulent 10 years for them; as they started off as the brand new kid on the casino block and slowly became a shell of itself. The initial company that owned the property ended up selling it and then got it back, only to be acquired by the current company, Penn. (#2) This may explain all the recent topsy turvy experiences as of late, so I'm hoping this time they'll fulfill their prophecy as a top gaming destination in Louisiana. Currently, there are roughly 50 tables and over 1,000 slot machines. The hostesses are nice but the dealers are usually a mixed bag. Not sure if I can give a real thumbs up to the managers on the floor (#3). Table limits are not in the cheapest range, I've seen more $25 minimums here, even in the wee hours of the night. They've done a decent job at curbing the cigarette smoke and that's certainly no easy feat. The hotel is mighty impressive, at least from an outsider's perspective. I've never stayed there, If it's anything like the rest of the property, then I can see why people go out of their way to be here. I do deduct a star for their lack of quality eateries in the place and the attitude of some of the workers. It's not a perfect place, but I can totally envision a revival in the near future. _____________ (#1) Luh-Bur-ge (#2) Welcome to musical chairs, corporation edition. Here's to you, Penn Gaming. (#3) No one looks like they want to be there. Insert sad face. (#4) Most definitely high roller heavy.

Keturah R.

Yelp
Double *00... The hotel is beautiful and all, but the fact is that they had a pool a party adults with kids, the day before. But my family wanted to go swimming with kids and we couldn't get in there. You have to be 21 and old.. never again
google avatar

Ray T.

Yelp
Been here four hours and the air conditioning is out and no one knows when it will be fixed. No announcements no wor no updates. Drove all the way from SA. Also very limited staff. Long wait lines. Very poorly managed! The steak house is closed so only a few places open. Leaving now.

Jacob H.

Yelp
Attitude at the cage when help needed. Bum service. And take your money every visit. Good luck.

Erica G.

Yelp
Coming from someone who has never publicly posted any sort of negative review, there is a monumental amount of disappointment behind this feedback. This is not coming from someone who lost money (leaving a winner monetary-wise, but definitely not experience-wise). After arriving for a long anticipated "weekend getaway", we arrived to no rooms available and waited ~2 hours post checkin time. No phone in the room to reach any sort of front desk services or valet. Most importantly, RUDE service staff and dealers (aside from very few small handful of personnel we came across). This place shouldn't be described as falling within the "hospitality" industry. I am livid. And this has literally been one of the worst experiences. If you aren't a local or regular I suggest you avoid this place.
google avatar

Genevieve F.

Yelp
The hotel was nice and I got a good nights sleeps there got at valet were awesome-sauce. So nice. They remembered my name and car and everything. The bed was comfortable. The room was clean. I was supremely pleased but not overwhelmingly wowed.
google avatar

James S.

Yelp
BS! Don't fall for the false advertisement for all you can eat snow crab legs from 4:00 - 11:00. Drove 45 minutes, got here at 5:50 and they won't even let us put our name on a list for a table (currently looking at several empty tables)! False advertisement just to get you to the casino in hopes you will gamble ( (which we would have while waiting to be seated or our name to come up on the list). Very sketch place, especially for a casino. Still currently advertising the crab leg special on signs everywhere. The "managers" here are literally the rudest people I have ever encountered in any retail establishment not just casino/hospitality. The floor manager speaks very, very ugly to several people, not just me!
google avatar

Jaime T.

Yelp
A great staycation! One of my favorites because of the pool. Unfortunately it has been quite rainy so I didn't get to hop in but I sat out for a bit one morning. The room was great and had all the amenities I needed in it plus I love the room service! Looking forward to my next stay
google avatar

James S.

Yelp
Good casino but not a lot of selection when it comes to slots. As with any casino, it is hard to find a server for drinks when you need one. I also never see to do well at this particular casino. Love the venues they bring in when they did do concerts and such. All and all, not a bad place to go throw away some money.
google avatar

Bryson B.

Yelp
The pool for the entire hotel has maybe 20 chairs and is surprisingly small. The wait for the buffet was over 2 hours. The BarStool restaurant was obviously understaffed. But worst of all, the power went out and shorted several machines meaning people had to get paid physically. I understand these things happen but what was frustrating is that no one from management ever came and spoke to any of us or gave us updates. People were waiting for over two hours to get paid out. We kept asking for time estimates or updates from staff and no one would tell us anything
google avatar

Sammy D.

Yelp
Tightest slots in the south! Ticket redemption machines only cash out whole dollars, they print you another ticket with your change. I wonder how much money they're making off of everybody's change that doesn't get cashed in because of the long line at the cashier cage. Multiple trips here and their machines just take take take take take, never paying more than a few cents, few and far between. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!! It's bad.

Mary L.

Yelp
SHawanda. Really helped me out of a sticky situation. This is my first time at a casino and I'm sure it was obvious. I stuck my payout ticket into the print out ticket side and shawanda was swift to help me. I apologize profusely to her and she told me this happens all the time. She then began to show me how the machine worked and how to play the game. Thank you so much shawanada. You made my experience incredible.

Yelp
I was excited to stay at this resort. This is not a resort. They charge a resort fee but it is not a resort. All we wanted to do was lay out by the pool and have some lunch. After one hour still no lunch and when they brought it the waitress had an attitude and we only got half our order. I complained and they took it off the bill. I also made them refund my resort fee which was exorbitant. I have the last laugh because I took away a lot of their money in the casino.

Yelp
I had booked the king suite a couple weeks prior to arriving on April 7, 2023. The hotel and casino by itself deserved 4 stars alone. The staff at Bon Hemp Market set the bar high and went above and beyond. Our host / cashier Rodanda helped improve my rating back to 4 stars. She met our needs while advising us on her recommended entrees. The Hotel front desk and housekeeping was very disappointing. Before we arrived I reviewed the hotel and Casino on Yelp. It was mostly awesome reviews, except when it came to the service of the hotel staff and housekeeping. I must say I have to agree with the disservice of the staff also. It was day 2 of our stay until our room was refreshed of our bed linens and towels. If I hadn't requested extra towels at check in, we might've ran out. When we ordered room service for the night it took 10-15mins before anyone picked up the phone to place our order. The guy at the front desk kept transferring me to different departments, but could not help me with my order. Finally an hour later after we placed our order the food arrives and it was not well prepared. The Mississippi catfish plate was over cooked and placed inside a container meant for salad dressing. The T-Bone steak plate my girlfriend ordered was the only decent order out of the two. If anyone from the L'Auberge Casino and Hotel Management Team reads these reviews, something needs to be done about the quality of service at the Hotel Staff and retrain them on customer service.

Bronwyn C.

Yelp
never stay here. tried to call the front desk and there is no number for the front desk on the room phone. went downstairs in the elevator. Told the guy at front desk I would like a refrigerator. He said it would cost an extra $20 even though I paid $450 for a standard King room overlooking the PARKING LOT. not worth the money. I just left The Royal Sonesta in New Orleans for half the price. what a disappointment. Save your money and stay elsewhere.
google avatar

Russell D.

Yelp
We stopped by here mostly just to check things out for future visits. We heard this was the nicest Casino in Louisiana and I must say we were impressed. We checked out the hotel lobby and pool area and everything was very clean, uncluttered, and modern. The place looks brand new. The casino staff were very friendly upon entering. All the machines look new. The chairs, carpet etc. look brand new. Bathrooms were spotless. A very impressive space. Great views of the Mississippi River from the balcony. Too bad this is also the smoking area. Glad there is no smoking allowed inside. We would not hesitate to visit again in the future.

Yelp
I have said that "This place is so nice" over a hundred times, the food here is very good, also all of the staff seem very happy while a few is sad.

Yelp
I've been gambling since the age of 18, and L'Auberge holds a top 3 position. Not all of Penn Gamings properties are created equal in customer service and game play. L'Auberge's gaming experience, player concierge service, and pit bosses are very accommodating. Very clean facility. No complaints here.

Yelp
My mother is a veteran and a senior citizen who has always been able to receive the senior Sundays and My Heros rewards, until this month. After complaining to the CSM on duty, Esther, about why the kiosk said she was awarded $50 free slot play but then only received $25, all my mom's points and offers suddenly vanished. She plays way more than I do and she spends more than I do but I get all the free gifts and free slot play including the My Heros and Seniors kiosk rewards. Management does not care about its customers, they only care about taking your money. Countless times I have reached out to the GM, Kim Ginn, yet her and her staff ignore my and many others emails. Why play where youre not valued or appreciated? You know it's bad when employees constantly complain that management treats them like crap and nepotism is blatantly obvious. If I could give negative stars, I would. Both my mom and I are done with that place. Kim Ginn and her entire management, including Esther, need to be fired.

Yelp
Absolutely loved this casino and the ambience. The Resturant's were really good, I had drinks and an appetizer at the Stadium and the Steak restaurant. We purchased a few items from the gift shop too, such as Rum Hot Sauce and Spicy Pickles. The service was great and if I am ever in Baton Rouge, I will definitely go back.

Yelp
Our happy place!! We go with friends and our sports cars, this is our happy place after a good race and we enjoy to eat, drink, rest and have a wonderful time. Pool view is my favorite room & the Asian restaurant my favorite one. Husband likes buying his Robert Graham shirts at the boutique & I love the sweets at the pastry shop. So much good in here & the girls at front desk are awesome (front desk manager is AMAZING) I don't give 5 stars because there's a couple of people that aren't at the level but I won't name them as it's irrelevant and the rest of people & the whole hotel casino is just wonderful The casino is our night stop and we have forgotten (5th time) to get our member card to accumulate points...it's okay as we always have fun anyways even when sometimes our casino cash is gone There's no pics of food as I always forget but good restaurants, awesome buffet and delicious cocktails by the pool. Always eager to come back

Yelp
The number of video poker machines that are out of service or malfunctioning at L'Auberge Baton Rouge is shocking. In Riverbend Plaza, a grand total of two vp machines were working. All of the others had signs indicating they were out of order due to supply chain issues. The problem in Riverbend Plaza II is worse. All of the vp machines appear to be play-ready, but all of the multi-line machines have serious malfunctions. One of the multi-lines flat-out doesn't work properly. In order to switch games, the touch screen is inoperable. You have to use the "Hold" buttons to navigate the game changes---if you know how. I witnessed person after person fumbling around, trying to get the machine to work. The bartender finally just started telling players that the machine didn't work. The problem is far more serious with the 3 multi-line machines that I played, including the one mentioned in the previous paragraph. I played Double Double Bonus 5 line Super Times Pay at max coin on 3 of the multi-line machines. Occasionally, the multiplier feature would work properly. Also occasionally, the feature malfunctioned. This would happen: The multiplier feature would be triggered, the bottom hand would be dealt, and then the machine would go ahead and deal all 5 hands without allowing me to hold any cards. In the last instance of my play, I deliberately put my hands down to my sides, away from the machine, just to make sure I wasn't causing the problem. Nope. It wasn't me. There is clearly a glitch---the same glitch---in at least 3 of the machines. I did not push the Service button and report the issue, knowing that a slot attendant would not have been able to do anything. It would have been a time-consuming effort that wouldn't have produced any results for me. Plus, I had reported the issue to the bartender, who simply smiled and did absolutely nothing. I've decided to post this review in an effort to warn video poker gamers. Do not play the multi-line machines in Riverbend Plaza II at this time. Do not. I also am posting this very public review in hopes the casino will fix the problem. If L'Auberge knowingly allows this problem to continue, it is tantamount to cheating. Good luck.

Yelp
If you stay at the Hotel, be warned. No microwave at all or available in your room No refrigerator, but you can rent one for 20 bucks. Beautiful property, but ridiculous policies.

Yelp
This hotel is so beautiful inside. Service was on point as we stayed for my husbands birthday. There's a tv inside the mirror in the bathroom that will gain your attention. There's a sliding door entry into the bathroom. And if you stay high up the view is pretty nice I think. Not the best view but nice enough for the area. Heated pool as well so enjoy. They got four stars because at 2an with the do not disturb button on, maid service decided to try and enter the room. No bueno.

Yelp
We have been here a couple of times. Once, as an overnight stay when scouting the greater Baton Rouge area, and most recently for a concert. We don't gamble, so I can't comment on the games. The facility, however, is clean, easy to get to and has a lively decor. Staff is kind, and the place is never "crowded". We will continue to come here for events.
