L'Auberge Rustique

I paid 18 euro for two coffees and apple pie. Was surprised by the bill and do not consider this reasonable pricing. Over 4 euro for a coffee made by an automatic machine? Really?

Nice place with a limited but good number of dishes. Friendly staff in a traditionally Luxembourgish setting. I think though that none of the staff were local, but didn’t remove any of the charm! Right next to the Castel in a beautiful setting

Just wow! I came here after hiking for 15 km and I couldn't have chosen a better restaurant. The food here was very good, I absolutely loved the Paleron de bœuf, the meat was so tender and delicious. The Panna Cotta caramel that I had as a dessert was also amazingly good. The service was good, everyone was very friendly. I'm definitely coming here again when I'm in the area.

Finally some real and decent good food. Among others some well prepared veggies, tasty and wholesome. Cosy place with kind staff. All in all a lovely find and tastefully decorated. You will find a cosy auberge atmosphere but without the dated ambiance (and smelly even) you sometimes come across elsewhere.

Positive experience, we always have the Apple Pie 🥧 which is very good and tasty. Dogs are welcome - only if your dog is friendly ;)

Me and my partner were very happy with our stay here. The rooms were clean, cozy and the beds were very comfortable. The atmosphere and environment of the hotel instantly made us feel comfortable and at home. The location was perfect to go for stunning walks in the valley, visit the castle and take a short drive to other walking areas. The couple who run the hotel were extremely hospitable, friendly and attentive to our every need. We really couldn't ask more of them. The restaurant at the hotel also served good food and a great Crepe Suzette. We highly recommend this hotel!

The location is awesome. Chateau du Beaufort is just down the road in easy walking distance and there are all sorts of walking/hiking paths that start right near the hotel. The owner is a very nice guy. He was definitely concerned with our well being and didn't hesitate to help us with whatever we needed. We showed up as his restaurant was closing so he made a couple suggestions where to go. The room itself was nothing spectacular: it was kind of outdated but it was plenty big enough and we didn't spend a lot of time inside anyways. The breakfast was also good and the girl server was very nice. 10€ for the breakfast is a bit steep.

Well the day we saw the sign "Coffee ready" we gave it a try. Full deception. Nobody to serve us for a long while, we did not bother as the rain fell down outside.. and we had some stuff to read. Once some one took notice of us, we were served a luke to cold coffee with whipped milked. They said it was cappuccino. The place looks cosy but the folks give an another feeling. Location is splendid... when you walk from the castle up to the village you pass it and nice spot to stop for a bite when hiking. Unfortunatly it does not feel welcome after a long walk..
