Do not expect great luxury. The room is of a reasonable size with modest Ikea furniture and squeaky wooden floor. Internet Wi-Fi is available, no TV but only an AM/FM radio. Saying that, who needs more than the beautiful view of the Neuchatel lake and the Alps mountains that one can enjoy from the little balcony; that of course if you, like us, are lucky enough to be there on a clear day. There is ample free parking, also undercover (between the pillars, under the rooms).||||We enjoyed our steak tartar for dinner and the very good and recommended Pinot Noir (Domaine des Coccinelles). The service was good too.||||The breakfast was very good to our taste. We had fruit juice a boiled egg (nice machine!) and very good coffee (there is a great selection from the self-serve machine), croissants and bread of excellent quality as well as a good variety of fresh fruit. There were also cereals and yogurts, butter, gem and honey.||||We did enjoy our stay, though we agree with others here that it is a little on the dear side, considering the overall current state of the hotel.

Extremely friendly staff. Healthy atmosphere with nice lake view and balcony. The breakfast is fantastic with homemade bread and delicious cheese plus a very good coffee. Will come again soon!

Great views, room was nice, staff are friendly. Location is a bit out of the way. Perfect for an escape from the city.

We arrived via public transportation and had the pleasure to walk into that village. So we could enjoy the quiet and peaceful surrounding. While we had a delicious meal in the restaurant we enjoyed the breathtaking view over the lake and mountain range. We had to wait quite a while for a table. It is recommended to make a reservation. We will do so next time.

This is one of the most exciting places I've ever stayed! Everything in here comes from natural sources, starting from the construction materials of the house to the coating used inside the rooms and the toiletries. The food was simply amazing and one could taste the freshness of every ingredient. ||||We will definitely come back!

I stayed there for four nights in February. The view from the room and restaurant is great (if the weather is good which wasn't the case). My room was quiet. There is no TV in the room but you find books all around the house. If you need Internet you can have a fast wired connection for free. Also Swiss power adapters can be freely borrowed. The breakfast was also good for me with local food (cheese, yoghurt and eggs).

Nice quiet place with magnificent view in the morning reaching as far as the lake. Good breakfast and good dinner. All food is sourced as locally as possible with ecologic mindset. Mixed salad was great. Stayed in the outside pavillions but there are also in-house rooms that are a bit more spacious. Not needed though. WiFi is stable in the pavillions but has been proven to be more squeeky in the hotel rooms.

Staying at L’Aubier was a real pleasure. From the wonderful food and products at the restaurants/shop, to the beautiful views from our window and the walk around the farm, it felt like we were not only enjoying our holiday but also contributing to a real human-built sustainable space. If we did it again, we would only change going by car, to make it more accessible and possible to travel around the beautiful area more. But even if you go by public transport it is well located and the complimentary travel helps a lot. Overall, a beautiful stay. Thank you L’Aubier team!
