I am lucky to have stayed at Laudensacks Parkhotel several times either alone or with friends and with my husband; also at different times of the year. Over these years, I continue to look forward to my stay here. The super clean rooms are comfortable with touching details, like a plate and knife for you to cut up an apple or snack. || ||The views on the west side of the hotel are of a beautiful park along a Bavarian area river, an invitation for vigorous exercise or peaceful walks. ||||For pampering, there is a well maintained sauna downstairs, and an expert massage and beauty center on the top floor. This hotel has given us a free two-hour pass for the nearby fabulous KissSalis Spa, which is always on our agenda when visiting Bad Kissingen. ||||Last, and certainly not least: The food is above excellence! I have dined in the Michelen Star restaurant; requires reservations in advance - I have seen the same enthusiastic locals dining there again and again. I have also had breakfast and dinner in their dining room for hotel patrons. In all options, the food is a feast for the eyes and for the discerning palate. I continue to marvel upon the creative choice of herbs I have never seen anywhere else, placed so carefully upon each entree. ||||The staff and it's owner are welcoming and efficient in attending to all our needs. This hotel is my European favorite and a repeat destination.

Absolutely fantastic place. In the middle of a quaint town there's this jewel of a hotel with it's own park like garden. The park opens to the large city park that invites to strolls and nature enjoyment with it's English garden. The hotel host a one Michelin star restaurant. The quality of the food is fantastic. The "normal" restaurant is also quite good serving local dishes from the region. The breakfast is fantastic.

As Bad Kissingen was on my way to the south I decided to stay the night in this hotel. It is a nice hotel in an old villa. I was given room 301 on the top floor, which was very spacious and even had it's own balcony. The bed is comfortable, the bathroom well decorated, the wifi is for free and has enough speed. The girl at the reception was very welcoming and offered a free drink in the wintergarten. The hotel restaurant has 1 michelin star, as I was on my own I decided not to go there, but the restaurant was well booked even on this Wednesday evening. The breakfast in the morning was of high quality with a buffet for the cold dishes and eggs made to order. All in all I enjoyed my stay and I would return when in the area again.

Overall, Laudensacks is a beautiful little hotel with a garden attached (featuring a Kneipp-type micropool and deckchairs), fancy-looking rooms and a nifty breakfast buffet (which seems a bit small at first, but the lovely waiters are happy to take any extra orders). All this is what you might expect at this price level. As usual, there is some fine print when it comes to practicalities. First off, our room had no separating door toward the bathroom other than a laughable glass sliding door. So, be prepared for some early wake-up light on a summer morning. This also contributes to the terrible heat management on hot days: Despite our best efforts to keep the curtains drawn and open the windows at night, the temperature rarely dropped much below 30°C. There’s also precious little space in the bathroom to put things (though the shower is generously sized) and to put your shoes, and the writing desk had no power outlet. Funny enough, the minibar seemed to take a summer vacation too, as its temperature dropped just barely below room temperature (yes, it was on). Minor things, but then again, this is not a hostel. Generally a nice place to stay in Bad Kissingen, not too far from its center. We didn’t get to try the hotel’s sauna (there was no pool; so we took a walk to the spa center uphill.)

We booked a single room by phone.||Checkin: Easy going, friendly||Checkout: Efficient, all fine||||Room: Single bed, balcony, street side. Overall very quiet, it is possible to sleep with open window, no traffic noise. Bed is ok, had a good sleep. Comfy bathroom, anything you need. Balcony is good to seat with two people. Morning sun.||||Breakfast: Excellent breakfast, even in covid 19 situation. Excellent service, in particular the young team members go the extra mile with a friendly and open attitude.||||Restaurant: Food is fantastic, good wine pairing, it is joy to eat here.||||Location: Directly at the park, but not in the city center. Easy access by car. Good for hiking, running, and enjoying Bad Kissingen and the Rhön mountains. ||||What else: Hotel provides two nice terraces and a garden. It was relaxing to seat here.||||Overall: Good value, good service, good team. Laudensacks is one of the best places to stay in Bad Kissingen. Will come back.

My family and I spent two nights in this hotel. The staff were very friendly, the service excellent, the rooms spotless and well appointed. The park behind the house is just beautiful and perfect for relaxing in a tranquil environment. Overall, we had a very pleasant stay there. The only thing that wasn't up to par was the dinner that was served to us. While the amuse-gueles were a delight, our actual meal was disappointing, especially for a Michelin and Gault Millau-rated restaurant. However, I would definitely stay at Laudensack's again.

My husband stayed at the Laudensacks family hotel and restaurant last week and reports that it is an excellent stopping off point when driving across Germany - and very convenient for the sights in and around Würzburg and Bamberg.||||This is a family owned and run hotel with very enthusiastic and English speaking owners and staff. From the informal and straightforward approach to making a reservation over the telephone and prompt answering of e-mails to the very friendly and simple check-in, everything was welcoming. How many hotels immediately offer a generous glass of local sekt or white wine to a weary driver rather than fussing with form filling?||||The rooms are simple but everything is clean, modern and works. The decor of the dining room is similarly modern and simple with clever touches of colour. How refreshingly different to the usual frou-frou decor of provincial hotels across Europe.||||The food is fully up to Michelin one star standards, French in style, not too complicated and paired with excellent, cleverly chosen, mainly local wines.

Just returned from a visit to Bad Kissingen and wanted to share the wonderful stay my wife and I had at Laudensachs Parkhotel. The owner is a consummate chef, hotelier and historian. His hotel is beautiful, well run and the staff caters to your every need and question. The location is excellent. A short walk to the beautiful city center and for restorative strolls in the Kur Park. The kitchen is superb! The Michelin rating is well earned and the breakfast and dining experience memorable. By far the best German hotel I have stayed in. Kudos to Herr Laudensack and his staff. Hope to return.
