Went on a Sunday night where the crowd was smaller and intimate, still had a great time. I could imagine it’s just so much better with a bigger crowd. 2 Drink minimum per person with good drinks and non alcoholic as options as well. Employees and waitresses were cool as well. Cool way to spend a couple hours and get some good laughs

Google
Laugh Factory in Long Beach is completely different than Hollywood. The door people to the staff are rude and not accommodating. Terrible actually. Treated me and my 20 friends like dirt. I don't know how these folks can act like that and expect me to return. And the comedians were hit and miss. Sunset is fine. Long Beach run horrendously.

Google
Really nice atmosphere and comics were pretty funny. 2 drink minimum, but beer was only $8. I would definitely recommend it. Overall, it's worth the money 💰

Google
foot-in-the-door: mandatory purchase of 2 drinks inside, despite that I bought a ticket for the show. I didn't expect car dealership treatment, kind of ruins my experience 6:30pm "doors open" but queue only started to move after 6:50pm forced (free) bag check servers walked around during performances, blocked views, tried to take my driver's license as collateral because I want to use apple pay comedians are fantastic though!

This place is downtown. Long Beach pass Ocean Boulevard in Pine. I have never been inside, but I am looking forward to it seems like it will be a great place to spend an evening out on the weekend.

We went on a Sunday night for my nephew and niece's 21st bday. Not very crowded but still had a great time. Saw 5 comics and all were good and even a few that were fantastic. The guy that plays the guitar was outstanding with impressions spot on! Strong drinks, you get your money's worth. I only gave four stars because when we went on Sunday the only menu options they had for food were chips with guac or chips with salsa, and I wanted FOOD. But had a great time. Worth the price. Note they do not have their own parking lot so you will walk from the Pike Parking structure. Thanks Laugh Factory!! Thanks for the laughs! We needed them!

Bought tickets to see Paul Rodregez. He was a no show the opening night. They never told us until the show was over. Not cool, payed for something we did not get, and we're never told he was not coming on stage.

Google
The infamous laugh factory! Almost guaranteed to have great laughs. It was my first time in the long beach location. Admittedly, it is much better decorated than the Hollywood one (see pictures). The comedians are mostly above average. Most sets involve 5-6 comedians so that most likely you’ll at least be able to connect with the jokes of 1-2 of them. There’s usually a pretty big line and seating is not always guaranteed which can make for a not-so-great experience. There is a 2 drink minimum which I really don’t get but for some reason tends to be the norm. The crowd sometimes gets too vocal which is not always the best experience. Overall I enjoy it but there’s massive room for improvement.

Yelp
The comedy slam was wonderful and the comedians were all on point, my favorite being Lowell Sanders for the night, but I must say as a fellow bartender, the drinks...ahhh... I feel they need to add bitters to the strawberry gin drink drink for flavor. The syrup they used in the strawberry gin and the peach Sour were just so synthetic tasting. Even Rosie's Syrup would have been a better choice than what they chose. Maybe switch the strawberry gin drink to a dirty gin Shirley temple with Rosie's grenadine? That would have a better taste palate. The dark and stormy was decent but I thought it could be much better. Maybe use fever tree ginger beer? It all tasted like Kirkland in the soda water and ginger beer department. For the price to get in at $45 and to have a two drink minimum costing more than $50, the drinks should taste good, they don't have to be outstanding, but not cringy at every sip. I felt like I was back at my college dorm having a party drinking that mix. It was just not the right flavors. I don't blame the bartenders, the presentation of the drinks looked fantastic, it was the ingredients. I'll definitely be back for the comedy. The atmosphere was fantastic, very clean, cool memorabilia, and staff was excellent.

Yelp
Love the Spanglish show! Bravo White Boy Scott Wood. He did you all proud. DoubleD girl was just sad. Loved the lineup. Sorry Paul Rodriguez was sick. Get well soon!

Yelp
Had such an amazing time with my BF! I definitely scored brownie points ;P The staff were super helpful and courteous. We did not have food. Drinks were a bit pricey but what isn't now these days. The ambiance is as expected for a comedy club. Seating was perfect, not too close to be called on lol.. We are definitely making plans to return sooner than later. Thank you Long Beach, Saturday night 7pm showing (11/9/24), comedians you all were hilarious!!

Virginia A.

Yelp
Back again for the second time! 2 drink minimum per person. I would like to say they def over charge for their alcohol. We had an old fashion in a shot glass.. now don't get me wrong but there was hardly anything there! 4 old fashions later..and it was $80? How ? They also only had chips and guacamole as an appetizer. Store bought guacamole which was tasty but it doesn't seem like they run a full kitchen. It feels like this place is not doing so well based on one selection of appetizers.

Pauline V.

Yelp
What a pleasant first stand up comedy experience for me and my boyfriend! Got some chuckles from these comedians :) Do be aware that there is a 2 drink minimum per person, non alcoholic drinks are also available for non drinkers. I myself got a $5 hot cocoa LOL. NGL The interior kind of gives church vibes HAHA but you forget ab it once the comedians are up. IDK if it was jsut me and my bf but we both thought the lighting on stage was kinda too bright after staring at them for a while LOL. We had to take breaks looking away or we just old lmao. I'll prob take my dad or brother along with me back here. Service is nice :)

Vivi L.

Yelp
Fun day to enjoy laugh with friends share these memories accompany group of friends or date night with someone you want to laugh with...

Kendall A.

Yelp
The tall black guy at the front who is checking people in must be new bc he is so clueless. I had a physical ticket in my hand and he almost didn't accept it. Saying that it wasn't a valid ticket. A PHYSICAL TICKET INSTEAD OF ON MY PHONE! Our waitress in the VIP section sounded dead inside. Definitely need new staff

Olivia S.

Yelp
The comics get an easy 5 stars! They were all awesome last night. The atmosphere is great and seats are comfortable. Yelp has a check in offer if you have a profile for a free ticket. My friend and I planned on using that but when I got to the door, I was informed you are required to call ahead and tell them you are going to use that check in offer. They did not allow me to use it so I had to step off to the side with about 6 other people to quickly set up a profile online and pay for tickets. There's no box office here that sells them. That whole process seemed a little weird to me. The food options they have are salsa, guacamole and artichoke dip. The artichoke dip was our absolute favorite, I would skip the salsa next time. Guac was okay. The lady working the front door last night (August 18th at 10pm) was extremely rude to other people and to me. She needs basic customer interaction training before working in that position. The way she was speaking to people was so cringy.

GARY L.

Yelp
Amazing experience the comedians were hilarious easy parking felt safe will definitely come back

Maddie M.

Yelp
My husband and I went on a Friday night and enjoyed the line up of comedians. The entry process was easy, and waitresses taking your 2 drink minimum orders were polite. We didn't try and nibbles (never saw menus?), and the seating was a bit strange as you can't chose where you want to sit...the hostess places you based on servers. Interior is a bit dated/grungy. Over we would go back again for the comic relief.

Analia Z.

Yelp
Great places to enjoy a good laugh very clean and good was okay!! We ate and had some drinks

Miss I.

Yelp
I used to love coming here for date night, or with friends then COVID hit. I had purchased a VIP ticket back in 2020 when everything shut down, I found that ticket about a year ago and reached out to the laugh factory to see if I could still use the ticket. Well I was denied, they didn't even offer a discount towards a show, terrible customer service, shows you what they really care about. I guess that's the last time I set foot there.

Jason T.

Yelp
This is the second Laugh Factory I have been too and though it was not as busy as I thought it would be (probably due to the holidays) I enjoyed the intimacy between the comics and audience. The superstar Saturdays are a good way to see a variety of comics, just in case one is just dull the whole time! I guess this location has no food? When I went to the Hollywood location, I remember being able to order food. Thank goodness we ate before hand or else it would have been a miserable time! I think by adding food, it would definitely help drive people to purchase more drinks!

Candice R.

Yelp
I've been here twice and sometimes you can find a funny comic but both shows had racism and sexism. Just a heads up. You never know who you'll see and you might get lucky. Out of 7 performers, three were funny. The others weren't clever and bordered on offensive. One sounded legit racist and sexist. The first time I went there, I walked out on the last comedian whose entire routine was comparing women to inanimate objects. Wild when you think they prepare and write this stuff down before performing. The servers will push you to get both drinks up front. You don't have to, don't let them bully you. Just so you know.

Donna B.

Yelp
Went on a Saturday night to watch Tony Rock film his comedy special. Parking is a bit confusing. There are several options. We opted to park in the lot across the street for $20 for the day. They said in confirmation email to arrive a half an hour early for priority seating. Showtime was at 10 o'clock. We arrived around 930 and we waited in line until around 1030 before being let in. Since they were filming the special we had to lock up phones, so no photos of inside the club. I was able to capture a few photos of the lobby before going in. The club has a two drink minimum. As a result of filming you had to order your drinks upfront get them and hold onto them which led to watered down drinks and no place to put them. Some people stated that they were not able to get drinks. the Overall it was a great show, and I will come back for a different experience with a different comic to see how the club usually operates

Ariah L.

Yelp
Last night was the first time I've been to the Long Beach location. I live in the neighborhood so it was a breeze to get there. I sat right in the front and loved giving feedback to the comedians. My server was polite and my drink was tasty. I had a good time and the line up with well thought out.

l a.

Yelp
They say to get there 30 to 45 minutes early. Then you have to wait outside for almost an hour... It seems like they want people driving by to see a line of people. This place is literally a joke

Flora W.

Yelp
I took my boyfriend here as part of his birthday package. We always talked about going to a comedy show and I've been to the Laugh Factory in Long Beach with friends! I decided to come back since I've had such a great experience before. I went online at (http://www.laughfactory.com/clubs/long-beach) to purchase our tickets. The process was easy and fast! We showed up on the date about 10 minutes early, showed our tickets at the front and was directed to sit anywhere. The comedians were so uniquely hilarious in their own way and the waiters/waitresses were very nice. We had a great experience!

Sydney A.

Yelp
This place is pretty old and the smell inside is horrible.... They really need to invest some money and make the place more pleasant inside. First and last time we will be coming.

Annika W.

Yelp
SCAM ALERT!!!!! On Sunday night (10/19/23) my husband and I attended the comedy show at 7 pm. The show was good and we had a nice time. However, we were SCAMMED, ROBBED, and HOODWINKED by this establishment. There is a two-drink minimum which I agree with, servers need to make their money and I am sure it also helps the establishment with profit margins. That being said, we were not provided a menu or QR code for ordering so I went online to the Long Beach Laugh Factory website and pulled up the menu there. It states that all wells drinks are $6 each and all fountain beverages are $6... imagine my surprise when we ordered a total of 4 drinks at $6 each and we were charged $9 for each drink! During the show Jennifer was our server, during the comedian's set she came to settle our tab but when I noticed the price discrepancy she wanted the manager to come out... WE WERE SITTING IN THE FRONT ROW. So I left the show to talk to her because I did not want to disrupt the show something the manager Sophia didn't seem to have a problem with. Furthermore, once I showed her the menu price discrepancy she said there was nothing she could do... excuse me? You are the manager! I was overcharged and I even showed her where I got these menu prices. I asked if she had a physical menu on the premises or a QR code for their prices and she could not provide one. This is a predatory business practice and I am sad to say the situation was not rectified. I have reported this establishment to California's Department of Consumer Affairs, the Better Business Bureau, and have filed a complaint with corporate. Save your money and do come here, I am a regular at the improve and have never had a problem like this.

Michelle R.

Yelp
Comedians were funny. I enjoyed the show.. BUT I did NOT APPRECIATE the rude waitress pushing me about ordering a drink. I saw the note that says two drinks minimum okay I get it. I came in looking forward to enjoy the show and a beer. I kindly asked for a menu and the rude waitress said there were no menus. I asked for a water just to get her out of my hair and she said "okay you need to order another drink it's two drinks minimum" I said yes I know that so you want me to order both drinks right now? (And this whole time she's speaking louder than the comedian I can't even hear the show I PAID FOR and she's hovering over my friends that are sitting in front of me. Completely terrible manners) Needless to say, I do not recommend this place.

Kris H.

Yelp
Disappointment. It's not much more to say. Maybe each comedian had one or two good laughs worth of jokes. But definitely not worth the to drink minimum and the $35 to get in.

Ardella A.

Yelp
The comedians were ok, but the venue feels like an old, dated basement!! Won't return unless there are major renovations!!

Dee A.

Yelp
Yall gotta chill with the 2 drink minimum hassling! I just watched a show tonight and the show was great. However, the waitress was rude af and disruptive of the show. She kept pushing us to order and all I wanted to do was watch the show. We pay $25+ for a ticket to watch, chill the hell out. We were going to order however many drinks we needed to by the end of the night, but the person we got was pushy and rude. Killed the vibe. We were 4 people and we literally had to have 6 bottles of water on our table at one point because 2 people on our party got there a little late and the waitress told them they have to order their two drinks NOW. Also, I agree. There were moments of weird smells and it got hot.

Steve P.

Yelp
Amazing comedians and good drinks. Needed that laugh and would come back soon!!! Our drink sever was very pleasant and attentive

Kristina M.

Yelp
Oh. My. Goodness!!! I went here cuz, let's be real I erred to effin laugh, life is hard and I needed a solid drink and some comic relief. Well, I got way more then I was expecting. Mandy was the most ammmmmmaaazzzing, she kept my bevies coming. And the comics wee out of this work funny!! Come here. Forget about "the real world", laugh, have fun. And enjoy life. Make your reservation online. Pat with your credit card. *it's worth it* Oh, and if you imbibe too much, go have dinner at a local spot near by, or make a night of it. Plan to imbibe. Get a hotel room. Be an adult. Do adult things. Have fun!

Tori S.

Yelp
The Laugh factory is more like The Garbage Factory! Let's starts with the stuffy, stale, and dry air that slaps you in the face upon entry! With a max capacity of 600+, they need to turn the AC on! The inside sort of resembles a church, except this venue is ran down! The carpet is stained, and the benches/pews are dated! My reason for the one star is they don't have uniformed seating for general admission, and the service is horrible! Some areas for general admission have the standard chair and table set up, some have benches/pews with a little small bar table that goes across, and the other areas have PLASTIC FOLDING CHAIRS WITHOUT A TABLE! They have a two drink minimum which is standard, but I refused to order due to being seated in one of the plastic backyard boogie party chairs without a table. They either want me to hold my purse or two drinks, I can't do both. They didn't trip because it only made sense! Save your time and money and go to the Brea Improv for a much better and uniformed experience!

Mara J.

Yelp
This place was pretty good. We actually got there a little late and they still let us in and seat in the front. Great service. Food was okay.

Roxanne N.

Yelp
Ok so first time being here right, we came a whole 45 mins early because my date read online we should come about an hour early for priority seating which was amazing because we wound up getting seated at the front. The parking was kinda confusing because we had to park at the pike parking WHICH only came out to about $12 for a whole 4 hrs (we went to hooters after so I could sober up hehe) Tonights host was Tran, super funny comedian, then we had a few other comedians which made my stomach hurt I was laughing so hard! Drinks were good, mediocre at best. Overall me and my date both had a good time, we both laughed and hollered at how funny these comedians were! We also got a free ticket for checking in, so we will use that at a later date

Ozzy R.

Yelp
I've been here before. Ghetto lol Maybe it's the location idk. I can't really review this place because what do you rate on? I came in for the 9:30 Saturday show. Some no name comedians. I just want to get out of the house and have a good laugh. 5 of the 6 comedians were ok. One was a little better. But I kind of was ready for the show to be over. I don't know what the screening process is for talent. But it must be easy. I understand the two drink minimum. They have to make money. I don't even drink lol so I'm over paying for water. An insult to an already dreadful show. My waitress was really nice and sweet. So shout out to her. The venue is pretty small. Basic. Plenty of seats. People in the audience were haggling and no one did anything about it. People were drunk af and it was just awful lol Parking is tough as well. So in conclusion: the drunks, parking, mediocre comedians, two drink minimum and distance plus admission fee, you're at almost $100. I probably won't be back. Idk I was entertained kind of.

Michelle W.

Yelp
Lots of laughs! Was easy to get in and got a great spot. Made for a fun Friday night.

Susan d.

Yelp
The WORST Customer Service!!!! I wouldn't recommend anyone to spend their money here. The black Security lady has control issues and very demanding and stares you down like she's a military sergeant. She's very intimidating makes you feel very uncomfortable. I got there late to join my family for a birthday party. No one was in lobby as show already started. Security lady told me go outside behind ropes & purchase ticket on my phone which is right outside the door. I stood by the door cause it was very cold & I was the only person there. Security stood right in front of me and stared me down and had a smirk on her face, I swear my mother doesn't even talk to me the way she did, so belittling. The young lady that said she was the manager was standing there the whole time, look like she was afraid of her. I don't think these people like their job, they seem so unhappy. I couldn't go in there and laugh after the way she treated me, so I turned around and left and of course she mumbled something as I was walking away. Thanks for ruining my night. I'm not giving this place my business. After reading all the reviews it sounds like this is an ongoing issue w customer service for years. Brea Improv rocks so much fun very professional and staff is awesome, go there!!!

Marco L.

Yelp
This place has horrible customer service. We called in advance to verify if we can purchase tickets in person as the website was giving us issues. Sofia had bad customer services and was not helpful. The workers definitely need more training on professionalism and customer service

Britt H.

Yelp
The music in here is way too loud. Upon exiting the venue, I could hardly communicate over the BLARING music. The 2 drink minimum is outrageous. So you want me to order 2 beverages, but then what about when I need to use the restroom after drinking those 2 drinks? Then I miss what the comedian is saying. I was sitting AT THE STAGE, and bumped my knee under the stage, and there was a SHARP object underneath that hurt my skin. Potential hazard and unsafe. The service was ok, again could BARELY hear the server over the music. Also, asking for our orders while the comedian is standing up there on stage saying their bit? No thanks.

Maria C.

Yelp
The server Vanessa was absolutely horrible :( we were there for a good time and her attitude killed our whole vibe... from the start, she had such a rude attitude with us and we can see it with other people she was serving. Simply while ordering, she spoke with so much attitude, even when asking her for help she seemed so bothered. This overall, made this place not enjoyable, the people who serve you play a crucial role and they represent your institution. I know you hire people that are meant to represent your institution with integrity, maybe Vanessa had a bad day today but this doesn't excuse her behavior. BUT the comedians were so awesome!!! Drinks were good too.

Leslie C.

Yelp
Came here on a Saturday night to watch the amazing Shawn!!! Never disappoints! The drinks and ambiance was great. I have no complaints. Would definitely come here again. Loved that the manager was at the entrance to greet us and that the host herself was also a comedian so it was a night of never ending laughter!

Lina Y.

Yelp
If you are wondering what to do on the weekend, this is your place! We booked last minute on Saturday and drove to Long Beach to give some love to this place and their hilarious lineup of comedians. There is a minimum of 2 drinks per person but the drinks are good and affordable! You could also order snacks like chips and salsa! The line was not long and we were seated right away! Seating was comfortable and the space is pretty big and clean. We laughed so much and had a great night! This place gave our weekend a touch of happiness. Will be back!

Carina S.

Yelp
The headliner was Paul Rodriguez, he never went on stage. There was no announcement of why they just ended the show. No one in my party drank so the waitress was not enthusiastic about helping us. Would not return.

Mario D.

Yelp
I was there last night with my girlfriend and I just wanna say Katrina And Phoenix were so amazing to us ! Right when they start talking they're just nothing but good vibes!! Will definitely be coming back

Gloria H.

Yelp
The West Covina sight was very nice. It had been yrs since I last saw Paul Rodriguez & he did not disappoint I love that he keeps his show with clean language but very current & relatable. All is still good n the world

Kristina W.

Yelp
My husband and I had a wonderful date night at the Laugh Factory! The comedians had everyone laughing and mostly all quite relatable. We went on a Friday and had to wait no more than 10 minutes to get in. We got general admission- priority got in ahead but only made a 10 minute difference. Still plenty of great tables available (the space is big). For food it's nachos and salsa (quite good) and pigs in a blanket - that's all they offer but it was filling for the time being. Cocktails and wine/beer available - the Rosé was a great wine not something I would have expected at a comedy club. Recommend for a fun night out!!!

Mandi K.

Yelp
Are you kidding with the bathroom? I came 10 mins early and had to pee so bad. They said I can't use the bathroom cause I had a $25 ticket, but if I had paid for priority I could use the bathroom ahead of time. Ummm what? I'm not asking for special services, I need to pee. Let people pee who have tickets. Super simple. Treat humans like humans.

Shana H.

Yelp
So first I looked online for a menu and I couldn't find one. Then I saw an outdated one and figured it probably hadn't changed much. Wrong!! They have a VERY limited menu. Chips and dips and pigs in a blanket is what we ordered. The chips were slightly stale but the salsa and spinach dip were tasty. They could definitely benefit from fresher chips. The pigs in a blanket... they were off. First they were burnt but uncooked at the same time. I'm not sure how to describe it. Even after the sweet waitress replaced them, they were just not good. However the staff was friendly and the drinks are worth the price. Eat before you go!!

Karen V.

Yelp
Lol no one answers the phone service is shit upon arrival... went an hour before a show to try to get in and they said they were sold out when I could still buy tickets online ??? Better off buying a bottle of wine and watching comedy snippets on YouTube

Ryn U.

Yelp
Bad Service A few nights ago my friend and I went to go see a comedy show. Before I came to the show I bought the tickets online. However while purchasing the tickets my screen froze and it brought me back to the ticket screen. So I started again and I purchased the tickets. What I didn't know was that it bought my tickets twice when it froze. So when I got the venue I asked for a refund, and they did not want to give me a refund. After the show I tried again and they refused to listen to me and were very rude towards me and my friend. I really enjoyed my time but was very let down by the terrible service they were giving me. One of your workers even made a joke about us to another customer in our face. I was very upset at the service and that I was perceived as an idiot and wasn't able to get my 50$ back. I would like a refund . I usually never write poorly about a company or a staff member. But the way they treated us made me not want to go back.

Mike M.

Yelp
Jessimae Peluso, Johnny Sanchez, Shaan Joshi and Shang Forbes were on stage on Friday. My wife scored 10 seats being the high bidder of a charity raffle and we had no idea who was performing and we had never heard of any of these folks. The place was 1/3 full for the early show but there was a large crowd waiting for the later show as we exited. The building is new but it has a nostalgic comedy club vibe without the filth and aroma. The staff was friendly and efficient and the drinks were not that overpriced. The comedy was great, comfy seats, fun venue and a good time was had by this early show crowd.

Robyn M.

Yelp
The Long Beach Laugh Factory is a fun local place, group/date/girls night friendly. The staff is very nice and accommodating. We had a huge mixup with our group's tickets, but the security and hostess (?) helped us straighten it out easily, avoiding confusion and disappointment, they kept their cool helped us sort out the issue and we had an awesome night. Would definitely come again.

K T.

Yelp
I've been to Brea Improv and Magic Comedy Club in Hermosa Beach. Both serve dinner but this place only serve chips. Service and ambiance were excellent. Tickets about the same. Comedians were excellent. It was my first time to LB Laugh Factory and I'll be coming back.

Odalys G.

Yelp
Had a great time!!! Our server was friendly and a total sweetheart. Looking forward to coming back
