I had a perfect weekend here! The host and staff were very friendly and attentive, making me feel truly welcomed. We booked campsite No. 12 by the water, and everything was just perfect—especially waking up to a beautiful lake view in the morning. The campsite was quiet at night, and there was plenty of privacy between sites. I really enjoyed my stay and would love to come back again!

Love our Memorial weekend at the park. Site 1 was big and level. The evening sun was brutal but still a good spot. Bathhouse clean but do need a refresh. All employees and camp host friendly and accommodating.

The place is serene I should say . Had a wonderful weekend with my husband .Beautiful lake and very nice staff specially the man at the reception. The bathroom is clean as well . Except for the gravel that is disappointing and painful . Setting up our tent on the gravel is not a good idea . I still give a 5 star because of the good man in the reception .❤️

We loved the park! The kids had fun on the playground. Plenty of places to ride bikes. Everything in walking distance. We enjoyed Ranger Shannon's class on walking sticks and his archery lesson. We're looking forward to returning in the summer to enjoy the swimming area and boating on the lake.

This is another very nice Georgia state park full of amenities for daily and overnight visitors. The lake is small but pretty with two boat launches and a place to rent kayaks. There are a couple good playgrounds, pavilions for large gatherings and even an exercise station with various pieces of equipment. The campground has 60 sites that range from good to excellent. If you are fortunate enough to get one by the water you'll be treated to gorgeous sunsets and sunrises. There are also cabins available for rent. The staff are very friendly and helpful. This is definitely a place to stay if you want some peaceful, quiet days in the woods!

Had the pleasure to spend some time talking with the head Ranger of the park. One of the nicest men I've ever met and they run a fantastic park. We could tell they take care of the park and there were improvements taking place at the park when we visited. We decided to rent a gathering spot for an event and we were interested to see the cabins as well, that's when we had the pleasure of talking with the park ranger when he volunteered to take us on a tour. Great for events and they rent cabins that were extremely nice and cleaner than a hotel room. There are also smaller cottages and a front office area with a full mini store for campers

Very beautiful and peaceful place to stay and relax and enjoy playing golf. Rangers are very kind and helpful, hosts worked hard to keep everywhere clean and in order. Will definitely come back again.

Yelp
Great little campground at the Okefenokee Swamp! We are camping here for 3 nights in a 30' Class A. The campground sites offer water, electric and a dump station. Each site is level and gravel. There is not any privacy between sites but they are not stacked on top of each other either. There is a fire pit, a picnic table, a grill and a lantern hook at each site. There are only 3 campsites on Lake Laura Walker but all of the other campsites have a view of it. There is one bathhouse for the campground and I did not go in it so I don't know how clean it is. The rest of the park is well maintained so I imagine the bathhouse would be too. The park offers a visitor center with a gift shop and ice cream and boiled peanuts for sale. The staff are all friendly and knowledgeable about the area. The park is about 20 mins from Waycross should you need to shop or grab a bite to eat. There are two playgrounds, a fitness area, many pavilions and picnic areas. There is also an area for Sunday Church service which starts at 9:30 am. They also offer cabins and cottages for rent and there are separate campgrounds for pioneer and group camping. They have a VERY large dog park! One side for small dogs and the other for large dogs. Each side offers a bench and a watering station. This dog park added an extra star to my overall rating! We enjoyed our stay here and were happy to find out we were only about 8 miles from the Okefenokee Swamp Park which is also highly recommended!

Yelp
I was evacuated from St. Petersburg and in between hotel rooms and just wanted to park my car and walk the dogs for an hour while I waited and they told me I had to get a parking pass and pay a fee to do that so I left I thought that was rude and they should make some type of Consolation for people in my position I would've paid five bucks

Yelp
Great relaxing park. We visited back to back because we enjoyed it so much the first time. There is fishing, swimming. Kayak rental, hiking and more. There were no bugs when we went and all the facilities were well maintained and close access to all the camping spots.

Yelp
I come here with my white shepherd. 5$ to get into the park. There is a lot to do. We stay close to the water. Dog friendly which is perfect. I will say that the water looks dirty but these days most are. We didn't see any gators. And the dogs were able to swim while I was able to catch some sun. I have been here a few times and will be back.

Yelp
This place is small and family oriented. The RV spots are smaller than most DNR places my wife and I have been at but good for what they have to offer. The staff was very nice and polite! The lake draws a lot of boaters and jet skies but if you just want to swim they have a roped off section just for that. This place has a lot of pine trees in the area so be careful when moving your RV around. When returning from our trip I noticed that a Pine tree had dropped some Pine sap on our truck and it wasn't just a few drops it was a lot, so grabbed some soap and a brush and began washing it off. It all came off but be aware of this when you stay here that you may have this happen to your vehicle. Love the lake view and the nature trails. We will return soon as we had a wonderful time.

Yelp
Beautiful park. It has a beautiful lake, walking trails and many playgrounds for kids.

Yelp
A real surprise. Stopped by to use their dog park but ended up going to a class one of the rangers was teaching

Yelp
This State Park is practically in my back yard. There are shelters, grills, and tables to have a nice picnic. The playground for the kids to play. You can rent the big pavilion (not sure what it cost). The a small beach to play in the water. You can rent canoes or bring your on boat to water ski or go tubing. It does cost to get in the park, best to buy a season pass if your going a few times.

Yelp
We came here in mid September and it was blazing hot. We came to camp one night and then head out to the Okefenokee Swamp the next morning for a swamp tour. The camp staff was super friendly and helpful. The park was very pretty, in spite of the heat. I'd highly recommend it, but perhaps when it's a tad cooler

Yelp
Come here for the weekend with the family and it's beautiful. Was the only one staying in tents but it's so quiet at night I didn't notice. Bath house is dated but very clean a ton of hot water and nice. The hosts, the Perkins, were super friendly and helpful. Store was stocked ranger was nice. Where else for 80 bucks can you spend a weekend doing so much for so little. Park has a beach and boat ramp. Several pavilion and a nice camping area. Fishing dock and exercise area along with a huge play area for the kids with all newer looking equipment. Trying to camp every park in GA but I will be back to this one. Plus it's right across the highway from the swamp and the swamp park.

Yelp
Laura S Walker is our FAVORITE state park in the area! It is beautifully kept and cared for. We take full advantage of bike riding on the nature trails and the paved roads. The trails are great for moderate mountain biking if you keep your speed up. There is also a nice tent/RV campground and several cabins and group sites for rent. They allow boats to be put into the lake and rent out kayaks for VERY cheap! Lots of people come to fish or to let their kids play in the playground area. There are many covered picnic gazebos with water, tables, grills and electric. Definitely worth the trip!

Yelp
Nice place... Campground was clean... Nice new walking bridge across the lake... Many new cabins... Not very crowded... Big acreage park... Friendly staff... Only 15 mins from good food and shopping... Cant go wrong here... Relaxing and fun!!!

Yelp
Love the layout of the Golf course and natural beauty. The greens are barely puttable though. Friendly staff. Will be back but not until the greens have recovered.
