Wonderful chocolate store with incredible staff. We got there 15min before closing and they already cleaned all their utensils but they still took our order and made us hot chocolate, which is incredible!

One of the locals recommended Laurent Gerbaud to get some hot chocolate and Belgian pralines. Truly it was a super rich and creamy hot chocolate - not sweet like many of the other chains that add sugar to sweeten the drink up. You also get one free praline to go with your hot chocolate. The shop is very comfortable and a good place to have a rest after a long walk around the city.

We came here to warm up on a coldish spring evening. My husband loved their hot chocolate so much, he ordered a second one. He was not as amazed with their pralines. I ordered Americano and it was pleasant - not overburned, aromatic. Beware their Irish Coffee - they use canned appriximation of whipped cream with it, which is a totally unhealthy product that nobody should consume.

Great place to buy chocolate, especially black one. Also they have good coffee. And for each one, you can pick a praline. And the service is very good!

Google
Nice chocolate spot in Brussels. Top three for me: yuzu, noisette and jamaican pepper. Honorable mention: black olives. But you can find many other options for your tastebuds!

Google
The hot chocolate was so good, but the hazelnut chocolate was on point. The thing is we finished too fast, so no pic 😂

Google
The cocoa milk was absolutely delicious and the atmosphere was so cozy, especially since it rained outside. The place is usually packed so expect some waiting time before receiving your order. I've loved this place much and bought souvenirs since the chocolate was soo good

Google
High quality chocolate with very nice and balanced flavors. It would be nice to have also more attention for single origins chocolate pralines. At this point one of the few remain non-industrial and non-purely touristic chocolate producers in central Bruxelles.

Yelp
You can either take out your chocolate or order a drink and snack to dine in. If you order a drink such as coffee or hot chocolate, they let you pick a complimentary piece of chocolate to go with your drink, which is a nice touch. You order at the counter, take a number, and they bring your order to your table. (There is no additional table service after that, though--you'd just go up to the counter again if you would like something else.) My hot chocolate was delicious--not too sweet but rich and had good flavor. The chocolates were tried tasted homemade and were really very good. We regretted not getting more before the end of our trip to take back home! Great location near the Mont des Arts and KMSKA museums.

Yelp
Stop for a break after visiting the Museum of Instruments. We only had hot chocolate, but it was the best hot chocolate we've had. We also got to choose a piece of chocolate. Then bought some chocolates. I think these were the best chocolates I've had in

Yelp
Super good Belgian hot chocolate! The place is very nice with seating inside and outside.

Yelp
This is the shop located by all the art museums and is a nice place to take a break in the afternoon. Chocolates: sold by weight - - Yuzu - Banana rhubarb - Jamaican pepper: mild pepper flavor, slightly savory, subtle - Madagascar: 75% dark chocolate - Passion fruit - Jasmine passion fruit: tastes like passion fruit tea The chocolates had a great temper, smooth ganache, nothing was too sweet, and flavors were on point. Chocolate gelato: with dark chocolate from Ecuador - lighter than I expected but still good in texture. They have lots of seating inside and outside. Bonus: they have bathrooms!

Yelp
By far the best coffee I was able to find in Europe! First off, a really cute little coffee shop to grab a pastry, chocolate and coffee at. There is a good amount of seating and you do not feel rushed as you order.

Yelp
You have not lived until you have had a hot chocolate that leaves a lasting impression on your life. Right down the street from Musée des Instruments de Musique, this spot is a good bet for that kind of experience. Don't just limit yourself to the hot chocolate though. Their award winning chocolates should be tried on their own. I definitely recommend getting the hot chocolate + 5 chocolate piece combo. We tried a bunch of flavors (and bought home some more). They were all excellent. I believe the ones with olive flavor is the most coveted one (at least they were when we were there because of a recently won award), but honestly, just go to town. Like literally go to town and get these chocolates. The only regret my wife and I had was that we didn't buy more. They aren't cheap but not unreasonably priced either.

Yelp
We ordered multiple pieces of chocolate and also tried the hot chocolate. The chocolate is high-quality but taste wise I feel that it is not worth the price we paid for. The hot chocolate was not sweet enough and I simply wasn't fully convinced of its taste. We didn't finish it

Yelp
The Ganache aux olives Taggiasche here won Gold at the International Chocolate Awards for Best Flavoured Dark Chocolate Ganache. I knew I had to try it to see what an award winning chocolate tasted like. One piece was around 50 cents, which isn't bad although it was pretty small. The chocolate was very rich and the flavors really came through. I wasn't really a fan of the olive flavor, but I suppose that's personal preference. The intensity of the chocolate really hits, and then it becomes a smooth and almost creamy taste. It was really delicious although I still prefer Marcolini or Blondeel. The chocolate shop is also a tearoom/cafe where you can sit down and enjoy a drink with your chocolate. I'm glad I was able to try this award winning chocolate!

Yelp
Serving as a send-off to Belgium, plane set to leave just twelve hours later, Laurent Gerbaud was selected largely based on location and a reputation for excellence previously seen by way of Chocolate Speculoos at Maison Dandoy, an 18h10 arrival finding the staff in the midst of cleaning up with the café already closed but Chocolate Shop and Counter still open. One of Belgium's new wave Chocolate Makers, his shop and Atelier at Rue Ravenstein a short walk from all the famous mass-market shops at Place de Grand Sablon, Laurent Gerbaud has become something of a celebrity in recent times due to his high standard of imported ingredients to pair with milk and dark cocoa made from some of the world's finest beans and although prices trend slightly higher than the usual the texture is beyond compare, even the 76% cocoa tablet intensely creamy. Further upping the ante by way of pastries from Brian Joyeux, a late arrival finding the selection largely diminished but still with a Brioche and small Kugelhopf that was every bit as good as the medium one a day prior *despite having sat on the counter all day,* suffice it to say that the Brownie made from Gerbaud's own cocoa is one of the best money can buy, the fact that Joyeux's Fondant Cake filled with Caramel was so good further explained by the fact that it too was made from Gerbaud's Dark Chocolate.

Yelp
Great coffee and chocolates! The street view is nice. The staff was wonderful and spoke great English! Fast efficient service. Clean bathrooms are available!!! Definitely worth stopping by and having a coffee with chocolate and a bathroom break since as we all learn about Europe is bathrooms are few and Inbetween and even fewer when FREE. Great little place. Not too far of a walk to great restaurants and wonderful buildings/cathedrals.

Yelp
My most favorite place in Brussels. It's trully unique, healthy chocolate without preservatives & sugar and many vegan options for dairy intolerant people like me. Every time I come, I see happy people, try divine chocolate and relax. Do try the hot chocolate (best in town!). Laurent Gerbaud is internationally recognized chocolatier.

Yelp
Vegan chocolate for days!!! Really, really delicious vegan chocolate. And lots of options--it was hard to choose! My favorites were the chocolate figs and the chocolate hazelnuts.

Yelp
I understood chocolate when I met Laurent Gerbaud. Service is perfect with super friendly staff. Chocolate is the best in town. And it's not just another town: it's the town of pralines. Chocolate is really homemade: you can see people working while you drink your hot chocolate at the table. There is a wide choice of vegan pralines.

Yelp
After walking all over Brussels, I decided it was time for a much needed chocolate break. Not only did I get several small pieces to savor, but the woman helping us said their hot chocolate was delightful -- and it was, it really and truly was. One of my favorite things about Europe is the portion sizes. They're perfect. I don't need a huge heaping mug of hot chocolate...especially when the hot chocolate is as rich as it was here. The overall ambiance was quaint and cozy. We drank and ate our chocolate, bought some for our families and made our way to the Grand Place to meet up with some friends. I would for sure come back here.

Yelp
This small cafe in front of Bozar is a little jewel off the beaten track of chocolatiers of Brussels. It has about 10 tables for a coffee and a good selection of Laurent Gerbaud chocolate creations. Chocolates here has a special cocoa/chocolate taste and less sugar. It is a good stop if you are wandering in the area or leaving after a concert/exhibition.

Yelp
Hot chocolate is amazing. There is a nice combo of hot chocolate with 5 pieces of unique chocolates. Delicious. Will be bringing box home.

Yelp
One of my favorite chocolate spots. I bought a few boxes to give away back home. Good texture and flavor for their varieties. Would come back if I ever visit Brussels again

Yelp
Probably some of the best chocolate in Belgium. Beautiful retail space, beautiful display of chocolates, beautiful packaging of le petit achat. There's some seating here for coffee if you'd like. If you're in Brussels doing chocolate tasting, you MUST stop here.

Greg K.

Yelp
We only ended up there to have hot chocolate, so no review on the hard stuff here unfortunately. A good point to start with: they're open late, on days when everybody else is shut. Very nice atmosphere, and a warm welcome, too, brought on by a minimalist, white layout. They seem to concentrate on a few spiced chocolates rather than a wide range, which looks like a good idea. We were a bit disappointed by the hot cocoa, though, but to be honest we were among the last customers so the hot, spinning machine they would normally use was empty and clean. Ours were made 'by hand', and it felt like using that dreadful skimmed, UHT milk from a brick ruined the fantastic chocolate used to start with. Underneath that blanket of blandness, there was a storm of tastes and quality screaming to get out, and all you got were muffled sounds. It will definitely be worth a second try, though, but earlier in the day! Decent prices otherwise, for Brussels.
