Travel up the swirl staircase and take a seat in red leather 70s rocker bliss. With the Beatles playing in the background and the lush taste of jam slathered bliss + a delightful milkshake, I was one happy traveler.

Good old but still very much living up-to-date Japanese Kissa-ten. Their famous but simple egg sandwiches and old-fashioned taste coffee are pretty impressive and even intriguing to a non-mainstream café goer like me. All seats are relaxing though I particularly liked the ones upstairs overlooking the ground floor space. Smoking is very much allowed here so those who are vulnerable to the blue clouds from cigarettes, be aware of that or just avoid coming.

Well preserved and popular vintage coffee shop. Coffee comes in a few varieties and food options include simple sandwiched on crustless white bread. An English menu is available. Exterior and interior design are quite interesting. Hours of operation are limited and do not include weekends. Smoking is permitted and when I visited one afternoon in March 2018, most of the patrons were taking advantage of this. Not recommended if you are sensitive to smoke but if you like old school coffee shops it's worth a stop.

🚬喫煙可能店ですが、開店直後は誰も吸っておらず、お昼から人が増えるので、もしタバコを気にされてる方は開店直後に利用した方がいいと思います。 【店内】 2階あり、吹き抜けと建物角のスリットが唯一無二の建築遺産の喫茶店。 バーガンディーのチェアがシブ過ぎです。 純喫茶でもここまでクールな内装は少ないと思います。 雨の日だとガラス窓から見える景色と、内部の落とし目照明と相性最高なんだろうなと思う…！ ビートルズがBGMでした。 【フード】 🥪卵サンド(¥850)は形はとても綺麗なのですが、昔ながらというか卵サンドはマーガリンと味のない卵焼きという感じでお世辞にも美味しいとは思えずイマイチでした。マスタードとか入れたらもう少し美味しくなると思います。 ☕️コーヒー(¥750)は酸味が強くて酸化してる？てぐらいでした。でもエバーミルクなのかミルクの濃厚さは好みです。 フードは総じて残念でしたが雰囲気のお店で、常連はタバコを気軽に吸える場所という感じでしょうかね。 また雨の日にタイミングがあったら利用させて頂きたいと思います☂️ 【役にたったらイイね👍してね!】

JR四ッ谷駅から、徒歩🚶‍♂️で約２分の所に立地する昭和レトロ感溢れる素敵な喫茶店です。 建築家池田勝也氏設計の名建築と言えましょう。 モダンな外観に惹かれて店内に入るや、照明や赤いソファーが強烈に昭和感を醸し出しており、2階へ繋がる螺旋階段も大変魅力的です。 なお、店内は、喫煙可となっていますが、都内のレトロモダンなカフェに興味がある方にはお勧めいたします。

レトロだけど昭和モダン、名建築の喫茶店。 ちょっと暗めの空間に居ながらも、吹抜けの出入り口の縦長ガラスが、明るく外と繋がっていて、なんだか安心する居心地良さ。 入口のアールの壁や、螺旋階段も素敵です。 特に、喫煙喫茶なので、たばこを吸う方には、ありがたい場所でしょう。 焼きたての温かいたまごサンドと、カフェオレ、美味しかったです。ありがとうございました。

1954年建築の珠玉の建物 まったく古さを感じさせない洗練された建物ですね(^-^) 喫煙可なのも、とても有難い。 メニューはシンプル。 全体的に価格は高いですが、場所代と考えれば良いのかな。 写真は控えた方が良いですよ！
