LAWSON Kawaguchiko Station

It's a perfectly normal Lawson store. The difference is the horde of tourists in front of the store trying to take the picture of mount Fuji blocked by the store. It even came out in the news that this became so bad that they try to block the view to reduce the crowd. The blockage had since been removed. Frankly there are so many places that can take a much better view of mount Fuji nearby. Including one that's by a small road that's really near by.

This convenient store with Mt Fuji behind was absolutely incredible. That's why it attracted a flood of tourists who tried to take pictures in front of shop. Many of them crossed the busy street dangerously. Apart from this, the store was well stocked and had big trash bins.

We were early when we reach Kawaguchiko station to take the express bus back to Shibuya. So we decided to go to the famous Mt. FUJI Lawson. We saw Mt Fuji, literally sitting on the top of Lawson. No wonder there was a craze to visit the place to snap a photo of the iconic, unique sighting of Mt Fuji. We saw the place where the barriers were put up.

A nice convenience store inside with lots of things to buy. The only bad thing is that you’re trying to get in and there are so many tourists getting a photo of Mt Fuji there.

Looks like a normal convenience store. And there are alot of tourists inside so it was very cramped. I wanted to buy something inside but it is too crowded for my comfort, so I went to the nearby 7-eleven instead. When I was there there was not much people across the street wanting to take photo of Mt. Fuji in the background. I cannot imagine how crowded it can be during peak season. I think this place is overrated. Good luck taking a perfect photo of the place.

The famous Lawson where you can take the mt Fuji photo behind the Lawson. I think it’s overrated, you have to go to the opposite side of the street to take the photo and even then I’m not really sure what the allure is. There are also 2 lawsons where you can take the photo, this is the better one since the mountain is a little bigger in this one.

While I was in Kawaguchiko station inquiring for bus tickets to Gotemba… I walked around the area and to my surprise this famous Lawson was just 130m away😁 Lucky me! So off I went and took shots of Mt fuji at the background! And oh the Horse Mackerel was so good! And and my fave strong black coffee now is LAWSON’ coffee Bar None! ❤️

amazing view however blocked by many tourists😭😭 I never entered the Lawson shop itself however it’s quite crowded, suggest going on non peak hours
