Fun design to the playground! Mostly a neighborhood park (accessible by walking or biking), but it's possible to park along the streets and in the gravel on Parent Avenue to the north. There's the playground, a pavilion, some swings up on the hill, and a sand pit area with toys. Also had a free bathroom "Throne" and other things like a basketball court. I took away a star because I prefer higher visibility (quickly see my kids at any minute) and the tower section of the playground obscured my view.

This is a beautiful hidden gem! There’s a giant slide, a sand pit, a gazebo with plenty of picnic tables and a built in bbq pit, and best of all nooooo WOODCHIPS. A nice touch are the porter potties (Not sure if they’re clean.)

This has to be one of the nicest, albeit smaller RO parks around. My 9 year old loves large and modern pay structure. The soft surrounds rubber mulch flooring is very nice. We also think it has the nicest baseball diamonds in all of RO. Perhaps the one at Leprechan Field is nicer.

Very nice park with a large playscape - there are slides and climbing areas for kids of all ages. There is a center “pillar” in middle to get to the largest slide that has a bunch of images printed so visibility is hard; difficult to keep eye on your child unless you in the scape yourself. Also you have to climb a series of ropes vs stairs to get to several of the slides. My littles were intimidated by the rope bridges at first etc and had to warm up to it. I liked that there was soft padding to run on; seating near each area (sandbox, swings, playscape etc); and covered pavilion that you can reserve for events. Also a large handicap, assessable porta potty next to the basketball court. Parking seems limited but I was able to park right on the street and cross right over. Downsides are that I wish there were more shaded areas; the sandbox is rather small with most of the sand out on the pathway; there is only 1 swing set which is a bummer because that’s always a favorite for kids; and no water fountain.

Nice playground with basketball court and cool playground equipment. A couple of outhouses available and outdoor workout area. We couldn’t find drinking fountains or water refill, but we also didn’t walk over to the workout area. Street parking only.

LOVE this park! The playground is so great for all ages and abilities. Nice amount of shade, and love that they have that new “Throne” portable bathroom!

Great park! Completely refurbished. Awesome play structure. Easily the best in Royal Oak. New Basketball court, baseball diamond and outdoor fitness equipment. New covered pavilion with a grill! This is a great place for kids of varying ages.

The playground is the best feature. The pavilion is pretty nice for hosting parties. The parking is terrible. The poorly placed sandbox makes a huge portion of the walkway slippery. There aren't many shaded places to sit.
