Staying at Layalina Resort in Kamala has been one of the best travel decisions I’ve ever made. I originally planned to stay for two nights, but I ended up staying for six — that’s how incredible this place is. From the moment you arrive, you’re greeted with warm smiles that never fade, and you feel the calmness of the ocean immediately ease your mind. The location is perfect, right on Kamala Beach, with stunning views of the water, gentle waves, and sunsets that make you pause and simply appreciate being alive. The staff here are exceptional, going out of their way every single day to make you feel at home. My room was cleaned thoroughly each day, and every time I returned, it felt fresh and welcoming, with attention to detail that many hotels overlook. The pool access and sea view from my room made each morning and evening something to look forward to, whether it was enjoying coffee at sunrise or listening to the gentle waves at night. As for the negative reviews I saw before coming here — they’re complete garbage. This place is the best you can stay at in Kamala if you truly want a peaceful beachfront experience with genuine people around you. The smiles, the calmness, the soft sand right at your doorstep, and the quiet luxury of Layalina make it a place you won’t want to leave. If you’re thinking about visiting Kamala, don’t hesitate. Stay at Layalina. You will not regret it.

Cozy little hotel next to the beach. The sunsets from the balcony and roof terrace are stunning! Basic but good breakfast available for little money which you can choose to eat on your balcony or terrace. The staff is very friendly and attentive. They can organize e.g. in room massages within the hour. Nice public pool and a private whirlpool in the rooms. The hotel has an ideal location between bars, restaurants and coffee shops. In total it was a bit pricey for the area but totally worth it :)

Loved the hotel. Staff very friendly, clean, cosy and big rooms with nice view, they even have a terrace. Highly recommended. The only negative point is that it is very close to a little stream that flows into the ocean but the water in it was not really dirty and the beach is long so you can swim a bit far from the stream.

A wonderful oasis set right on the beach. Beautiful rooms immaculately kept and a view to die for. Attentive staff and all the mods cons you would expect from a luxury hotel. Great value for money and no better location. Highly recommended as a hidden jewel.

We stayed at Hotel LayaLina for three days, and it was fantastic. The hotel is right in front of Kamala Beach in Phuket, making it super convenient to access. There are shops and cafes nearby, and the main Kamala Beach is just a short two-minute walk away. To get there, we just crossed a small bridge right in front of the hotel, leading us to some great bars and restaurants.||We had a pool access room with a sea view, and the scenery was breathtaking. The room was clean, and the bathroom had a jacuzzi which we thoroughly enjoyed. Breakfast was served in our room, and there was a good variety of food to choose from.||The staff were exceptional, always ready to help and make our stay comfortable. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and would definitely consider coming back.

Lied to me. Booked 4 nights, there was loud construction happening near my room so asked if I could cancel the remaining 3 nights. After having to seek approval from the manager, the staff said that was acceptable and asked me to fill out the appropriate form including CC details. I was advised that 3 days would be refunded but nothing. I emailed them, again they said it’s fine but to go through Expedia to receive the refund. I forward this correspondence to Expedia and they follow up. Expedia come back to me stating that Layalina are not happy to refund now F%#K!!! Bunch of liars, clearly I do not recommend this hotel based off my experience and I never post negative comments, if that tells you how I feel about Layalina. 🤬👎

Small, simple, but immaculate hotel, with comfortable and spotless rooms, and the most beautiful views of Kamala Beach and sunsets. Ask for a room on the second floor to get the view. Super friendly staff, starting with JOY, who made us feel at home when we checked in, and made us smile a lot explaining everything in the room. Then wonderful Lita, Amar, and intern student Moona, all super friendly. Breakfast is good value for the price, enough for starting the day ready to enjoy the beach and sightseeing. Location is great for restaurants, shopping, massage, bars, everything closes before midnight, so quiet enough for us. The only reason giving a 4 star to the location is the Bar 99 downstairs, is noisy, some weed smell coming from there, so we couldn't sit at our balcony at times, and we saw their staff throwing garbage at the river right beside, which of course ends up going to the beach. Not Layalina's hotel fault at all, but didn't enjoy that part. Otherwise, would definitely return.

We stayed 3 nights on the ground floor. Be aware that on the ground floor you have the choice between a very stinky canal and people walking in front of your balkon or the pool directly in front of you with no private space. The Breakfast for 400 B is very mediocre. No fresh orange juice, bad coffee, plastic yogurt, croissant hard as a brick. Other than that the room is pretty spaceful but on the not pool side you gonna hear the music and bass of the nearby bar till at least 10 pm. The Staff was very very friendly and helpful!
