Layla Tulum Boutique Hotel & Restaurant

The service at this hotel is, without question, the best I’ve ever experienced. I’m not an easy traveler. I have multiple food allergies, which can make traveling in some countries stressful and limiting. From the moment we arrived, Ricardo, the hotel manager, went above and beyond in a way I’ve never experienced before. While the menu did not accommodate dairy, and egg allergies, he personally ensured the chefs prepared meals that were safe for me to eat. That level of care made a world of difference. On our first day, I lost my sunglasses, and Ricardo didn’t hesitate. He went to every place I’d been and made sure they were found, and they were. I’ve honestly never received this kind of thoughtful, proactive service anywhere. Elena at reception also deserves a special mention. Truly five-star. So kind, attentive, and always willing to help, no matter the request. Our room was on the smaller side. I can’t speak to the other room categories, but that didn’t bother us at all since we weren’t planning on spending much time inside. The hotel is Moroccan theme inspired it’s truly beautiful. Also we are on an awesome side street in Tulum ( not beach district ) with so many good restaurants and little shops. Great location. The rooftop bar is beautiful and very relaxed, with DJ nights spinning house music. Perfect if you’re looking for chill, elevated vibes. My only suggestion for the hotel owners would be to expand gluten-free and vegan menu options. For someone like me with multiple allergies, having clearly marked, safe choices makes travel far less stressful, especially in a place like Tulum where eating clean can be challenging. Every hotel needs a Ricardo and Elena. It’s what makes people rebook again. Thank you so much for such an incredible stay. Truly unforgettable. 🤍

Layla Tulum, a sister hotel of Sana Tulum, shares a similar vibe but has its own unique charm. We had a great time and feel it’s the perfect spot for a short stay in downtown Tulum, with plenty of streets and local spots to explore nearby. The rooftop bar with its view is fantastic, and we thoroughly enjoyed a lovely breakfast. The staff were amazing—special thanks to Sonia for helping us with our reservation; you’re a true legend! The rooms are quite small but very comfortable. I would avoid a ground-floor room if possible. Highly recommended for anyone wanting a stylish, central Tulum experience.

I had a wonderful stay at Layla Tulum. I loved the atmosphere. Ricardo made my stay super special with his attention to detail. My suite was well equipped with everything I needed for my stay and the front desk staff was prompt and full of enthusiasm if I needed anything else like a cab or information about the stay. Not to mention the rooftop restaurant and pool!! I highly recommend this to people wanting a nice stay in the heart of Tulum!

Firstly - I can’t put into words how good this place smells!!!! We ended up buying a few bottles of the room spray because it was HEAVENLY, so luxurious and relaxing. Spraying it in my bedroom at home just reminded me that I never wrote a review!! The rooms are gorgeous, especially the bathrooms and balcony’s. The roof top pool was great, amazing suntrap, most places we stayed at with a rooftop pool were just full of mosquitoes but it was clean and great vibes. The staff were so nice and friendly, we were travelling and they went out of their way to help us out with buses and our plans. Thank you to the whole Layla Team!!

I really enjoyed my solo trip to Tulum where I stayed in the garden pool view suite at the Layla. The room reminded me of a Morracan riad with the bold rustic furniture and gorgeous colored tile patterns throughout. The bathroom was my favorite, featuring a rainfall shower with exceptional water pressure. I also loved the rooftop pool and lounge area that offered breathtaking city views, especially during sunset hours. The food was Special shoutout to Ricardo and Anahi at the front desk. From check-in to check out, I really appreciate the hospitality that ensured I felt comfortable at all times. They gave great recs on where to go and things to do around the area!

My stay at Layla Hotel was truly spectacular! The staff were warm and welcoming, and the quiet, beautifully designed room with its super comfortable large bed made the stay even more enjoyable. The fabulous rooftop pool and the central location added so much fun to the whole experience.

They went above and beyond to make our experience feel personalized and seamless.||The food was phenomenal, breakfast, lunch, and dinner were all consistently delicious. I genuinely enjoyed every meal we had on-site. Whether we were starting the day with something light or winding down with a flavorful dinner, the flavors and presentation were on point.||Layla is also in a perfect location, close to everything you’d want to explore in Tulum, beaches, restaurants, nightlife, and boutique shopping. It made getting around super easy.||I really enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back!

Stopped by for lunch on the rooftop terrace. A very warm welcome from the manager, Ricardo. Ceviche was very fresh and flavorful, and hibiscus margarita was refreshing and potent. Prompt and kind service from waitstaff and front desk. The property was thoughtful in design and function - thinking of staying there for my next visit.
