I truly Thank God for this shelter. Though our stay was only a month it was all worth it. Thank God for the coordinator Kristi, Also Dakota (Case manager) Even Mark the men's (Case Manager). We were homeless but God used these people to bless us to live here until I figured out what I needed/wanted to do. I won't forget Ladonna (worker) Motherly figure who gave me wisdom also. We are truly enjoying our place and were truly at peace since we moved to Houston. It was all apart of our spiritual journey ! May God bless everyone who played apart in blessing me and my daughter. The shelter fed us, we could bathe, and they gave free toiletries and had faith in me on our move. Thank you for blessing us even paying our first month rent and deposit. I needed it, we truly needed it. Thanks Lazarus house for everything!!!

i stayed there for half a year. I am gonna say this place is very friendly the staff is not awful. They have rules for a big reason is to follow them. you also do your part doing your chorse as earning your stay. they have showers laundry it's lgbtqia+ friendly. You are also expected to do your part. i am already in the process getting my house. I wanted to say thank you so much for your help everyone there for being supportive. They also understand people with autism lvl 1. They help you how to prepare job interviews and fix resume's and work with legal cases that you need help with. Make sure you have an id a small income job before coming in. During winter times, it can be difficult. I wish you guys the best stay strong you got this. Hope i get my house soon before thursday. So do i recommend this yes i do it won't be easy but having mental support and talking to your case worker is the best thing to do.

I came in hat in hand. They treated me with disrespect. They kicked me out with nowhere to go. A 52 year old father. I don’t know how they’re funded but I’m clearly not in their demographic. Quit being Christian. You’re not. Corporal works of Mercy.

They dont let you take a nap or rest during the day unless you have a job and you have to have proof or you sit in living room all day or you have to leave and when you leave out you have to be gone a hour. All I have to say is I'm glad I dont have to be in that situation anymore!

We stopped by to donate a few items and a woman showed up at the same time seeking help. The lazarus employee turned her away saying she was too late and would have to wait even longer since it is a holiday weekend. The woman ultimately had to leave and cried. We were very disappointed to see someone who needed help be turned away by a homeless shelter.

I moved to Lazarus house 3 weeks ago and I am very blessed. I was sleeping in my car prior to this and it was very difficult not only sleeping, but a person goes into survival mode when they are on the street. The staff is kind and caring and look for the needs of those that are homeless. Thank you to all the warm and kind people in the community that give donations to the Lazarus house. This Does Not go unnoticed. THANK YOU!

Sometimes life happens. Thank God for people and places like the Lazarus House. A gift from God until you can get back on your feet. The staff and volunteers are nothing but saints. Thank you.

I came to the Lazarus house in need of a little help getting back home to Texas. A staff I assume by the name katie helped me by getting Me to where I needed to go. Didn’t let me leave without a bag of food. Very good person there that helped me out.
