Lazio's Pizzeria & Family Restaurant

We stopped by here for lunch an ordered three different slices of pizza, one meat lovers and two supreme. We also ordered a and three-pack of garlic knots, not the hot ones. Hot, not greasy, just the right thickness of crust and the toppings were plentiful also not greasy. About the garlic knots, OMG, they are drenched in butter, garlic, and a little Parmesan cheese... Hot Fluffy and as good as the pizza. If you're driving by, stop by and have the knots if nothing else!!

This place is pizza perfection. I come 2-3 a week for my lunch break, and they do not seem to ever miss. Every bite tastes like it was made with care. The vibe is welcoming, the staff is friendly, and the pizza comes out hot and fresh every time. Whether you’re a classic margherita person or into loaded specialty pies, this spot delivers. Easily one of the best pizzas I’ve had.

Hands down one of the best pizza experiences we’ve had! The crust is perfectly charred and chewy, the sauce has that ideal tangy-sweet balance, and the toppings are fresh and generous. It’s not just the pizza either, I have tried several sandwiches and hot meals, all delicious. What really sets this place apart is the service: warm, fast, and genuinely friendly.

So their Margarita pizza is my favorite pizza. The grilled chicken salad was amazing !! I watered a few times and it’s always a hit ! This time I ordered the upside down Sicilian and I think it’s the best thing I’ve ever eaten in my life!! I also got a side of bruschetta which we put on the pizza and a salad a little bit. Oh my goodness. **Sorry I didn’t think about taking a picture until I already heated a piece up. Stick it in the oven at 450° for about 7 minutes when you get it home!

Lazio's is the best! We love their pizza as much as we love their empanadas! Everything is hot and fresh, and the variety can't be beat! Though we are a plain cheese pizza family, there are so many varieties of pies that all look absolutely delicious (the Philly cheese steak one looks especially tasty!). They also have an amazing lunch menu/service that they provide to the local East Hanover campus of Jump! Immersion School. The lunches are always hot and an excellent value for the very reasonable price point! The service is amazing and William, the owner, is just the best! Easy off/easy on location on Ridgedale Ave. off Rt. 10 West makes it ultra convenient, and there is plenty of parking. If you want amazing pizza, homemade empanadas (with homemade salsa!), catering, or school lunches for your East Hanover campus Jump! student, Lazio's is a must! Se habla español :)

Great service! Very good pizza and delicious penne vodka! I recommend the garlic knots, they were so good! And there prices are very reasonable for great food

Extremely disappointing experience. I have never seen calamari so over cooked, they were dark brown, and tasted like deep fried oil. The grandma pizza had an overwhelming taste of garlic, which is not called for in MOST pizzas, much less in the grandma. They clearly spiked it with a ton of garlic powder, which also goes against an authentically prepared grandma pizza. The owners took over the pizzeria a little over a year ago, and are not of the Italian nationality. They're clearly not trained properly, or aware of how authentic Italian dishes should be made. Their high-prices definitely don't match the quality of the products they produce. The pizzeria looks run down as well, with holes in the ceiling tiles and damaged floor tiles- it has an old, antiquated, neglected physical appearance. I don't recommend them, and won't be going back.

Such a friendly atmosphere to go to!! There are a lot of pizza places around here but they definitely stick out! our favorite is their meat pizza chicken Parm sandwich and chicken Caesar salad the dressing is chef kiss Also check out their website under their specials they give out coupons and they match other competitors coupons .

I went to Lazio's for the first time this afternoon. It looked very different than when it was Great Wazu, but in a good way. I ordered a Penne Vodka Slice and a Chicken Bacon Ranch slice. They were both delicious, but my penne vodka slice fell apart almost immediately. I had to eat it in 3 pieces. I did notice that Lazio's had a lunch deal: 2 cheese slices and a soda for $5.99 between the hours of 11am-4pm. Although I didn't take advantage of it, it seems pretty well-priced. I will say I did like that the man behind the counter asked me if I liked the pizza when I finished. Very nice way to check up on how your customers feel. Overall, it was a good experience, and I will definitely be returning.

This place is the best! I've been back in Jersey a little over a year and a half. I was in South Florida, Boca Raton area for over 30 years.. SoFlo has the best food. And pizza. Until I came to Lazio's! So happy to have found them by their online reviews. Now this is the only place we get pizza! Try their upside down Sicilian. It's to die for! And their bruschetta pizza, veggie pizza. Yum! Great bunch of people too!

At the recommendation of a friend I tried this place. I ordered 3 different kinds of pizza. I ordered a plain slice, pasta slice and a square vodka slice. All were very good. The plain slice tasted like the old Famous Ray's pizza in NYC. It wasn't extra cheese but tasted like it was. It was loaded with cheese and the cheese stayed melted. The service was spot on. I promptly ordered and it was brought to my table. The ambiance of the eat in area was clean except they need to keep up on cleaning tables when customers leave their garbage. The reason I gave 4 instead of 5 stars was the drink selection. There were a lot of foreign drinks. But all in all it was very good and I do recommend and I will definitely be back.

I'm not sure how long Lazio's has been here (I believe it's the former location of the Great Wazu sandwich shop) but today was my first time stopping in. I got here for a late lunch and had the place to myself. The guys working the counter were very friendly and there were quite a few choices of slices. I chose a slice of the round Sicilian which was pretty good. I can't say Lazio's would be my first choice for pizza in the area, but no complaints today, it was fine.

Large open space with plenty of seating. Friendly staff. Ordered regular slice hot, and hot a great one. Also ordered a sausage roll; got tomato sauce without asking, a nice extra. Parking out front. I'm very impressed. Highly recommended.

Only stopped in for a quick slice. Went with grandma vodka. It was very good plan on ordering other food. My son told me he likes the bacon ranch there. Others have told me good things.

Been driving by for a couple of years since Great Wazu closed and finally decided to stop in to get some slices. 11:50ish and the place was a ghost town. Empty. Big place with plenty of tables, dimly lit. Big tv which wasn't on. No music playing and no vibe whatsoever. Ordered just a couple of plain slices since they only had 3-4 other options at the time. The pizza was absolutely "Fine" but in a town that has tons of great pizza in the surrounding area, I don't think I'll be back. The place and the pizza lacked personality. Again, totally fine and serviceable. If someone else bought and brought it home for me, I would eat. Just not my favorite. Wouldn't hurt if the employees smiled and said hi. My guess is the owner wasn't there and I was only dealing with miserable workers.

Calzone was under cooked with cheeses still cool and coagulated. Disco fries were yummy. Meatball sub was respectable. Worth another shot but not a home run.

i've tried several pizzerias in the area. This place stands out as best for me. I had a slice of margarita a slice of white pizza and a cheesesteak sandwich and a chicken Parm sandwich on the two times that I visited. Everything was great. In addition the counter guys were on point.

In a town saturated with pizza places, this is the best. Not only the pizza, but even lunch specials and paninis. The owner is so nice. So hesitate. You won't be disappointed.

Slightly underwhelming. It must be pretty hard for a new Deli to come into East Hanover and try to compete with all the other Incredible local Sandwich places. I mean some of these places stack Mammoth Sized Sandwiches piled high with Meaty Cheesey Goodness. And so at SM they're gonna have to step up their game considerably if they wanna try and compete in this town. The one thing that is in SM's favor is that they do have plenty of tables for dining in which most of their competitors don't have. But if your food is gonna fall short then I guess it really doesn't matter how many tables you have now does it? Anyway if it was Me, I probably would have named it a "Diner" or a "Luncheonette" or a "Coffee House" or Something. Anything instead of a Deli, but what do I know. I do know that they're new and so I kinda hope that they straighten up and fries right or else I'm really hitting the Eject button!! Bill Out. Peace.

I just got a chicken bacon ranch slice here at 5:30pm. The slice was great! The chicken was good quality!! Unfortunately I can not eat tomato sauce or I'd have tried more.

a few days ago i ordered from lazios. this place is 2 min from my job mind you. my order comes to 15 dollars. i was asked if i would like to leave a tip and i said yes ill do 20% which is 3 dollars. the guy taking my order then calls me cheap. after i wrote a review on google he responds and starts to lie and say i never tip ever but the funny part was that was the first time i ever orders from this place as he didn't have me on file and had to ask for my name and number and address. the place as a whole isn't bad just who ever the new manager is awful and unprofessional

Had takeout for the first time from this pizzeria. Good Margherita pizza. Very good white pizza. Eggplant parmigiana hero was good as well. Prices were very reasonable as well. Will order from them again.

Really delicious grandma pizza. The crust is extra crispy. The staff is very friendly. You should try Lazio's. You won't be disappointed.

We ordered two pies (one plain and one margarita) to go. First time giving them a try. Crust was excellent, sauce tasty and the pies were excellent. We live a town over so we will definitely be back.

They have great sandwiches and the pizza is excellent. Our go to place for sandwiches and pizza. Will definitely be trying there entrees soon.

I have driven by this place multiple times and decided to give it a try. First, a few basic comments on the place: it was very clean and bright; the two gentlemen behind the counter were attentive; the menu is robust; and there is plenty of seating and a large parking lot. Second, a quick review of the meal. I chose the Jersey Burger which is a 10oz patty topped with Taylor Ham, Egg and Cheese on a roll served with fries. Overall the taste was very good. The meat was fresh as were the fries. The only real complaint I had was that there was too much meat for the bun to handle so the bread kind of feel apart. However, that will not keep me from frequenting here again. Thanks for a delicious lunch.

Drove by it a couple times and decided to give it a shot today. Let me start by saying they did not know how to make an Italian sub and I had to explain to him what goes on it. I then watched him cut the cold cuts onto his bare hands (no gloves) and put them on the bread. Once receiving the sandwich, there were minimal slices of cold cuts on the sandwich and it was covered in oil. The cashier was also putting together a separate order and told me to to pay when I was done. However, he instead interrupted while I was eating and took my card. There are plenty of other places to get better sandwiches in the area.
