Took my family here. Great American Chinese food. Got 2 orders of each dim sum and some main dishes. Definitely worth ordering one of each of the pork dumplings and the scallion pancakes (without beef). Duck buns were fantastic as well. My only critique is they should get shades. The sun blasts you in the face at 6:30pm if you sit by the window.

We had an amazing experience at Lazy Sister! The mei fun noodles and dry pot style beef were absolutely delicious—bursting with flavor and perfectly cooked. The ambiance was super chill, making it a great spot to relax and enjoy your meal. On top of that, the service was friendly and attentive. I’d definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a tasty and enjoyable dining experience. Can’t wait to come back!

Soon as I walked in, the aroma had me locked in! I just knew I was about to eat good. The staff was super welcoming and the vibe felt cozy but elevated. I noticed a little guide on how to eat soup dumplings right on the table, and that alone convinced me to try ’em for the first time. I went with the chicken-filled ones…9/10 easy. Steamy, flavorful, and now I’ve got a new obsession. Next up was the sesame chicken, and babyyy… every bite was packed with flavor. Crispy, saucy, and not overly sweet—just how I like it. I washed it all down with their sangria, which was smooth and fruity without being too strong. The perfect wind-down before a golden hour stroll to Veterans Park to catch the sunset. Lazy Sister did not miss

Google
Came twice in one week we enjoyed it so much! Excellent atmosphere, food and top shelf service. Will be back for sure! Highly recommend the 3 cup chicken, pork soup dumplings and the Shanghai pan fried noodles. The owner and hostess, Gabby are both wonderful and so friendly. Can’t wait to go back

This new restaurant has all the ingredients to what it takes to be successful in sono ! If you haven't been, then I please urge you to come try this upscale Chinese restaurant! The food was amazing and reasonable. There were a lot of healthy options to pick from as well .

From start to finish, our dinner was absolutely incredible. We began with the pork soup dumplings, which were bursting with rich, savory broth, and the Beef-Wrapped Scallion Pancake, a perfect combination of crispy, flaky layers and tender, flavorful beef. For our entrées, we indulged in the Kung Pao Chicken, which had the perfect balance of heat, crunch, and bold flavors, and the Crispy Beef, which was delightfully crunchy on the outside while remaining tender inside, coated in a deliciously tangy and slightly sweet sauce. The ambiance was spot-on—warm, inviting, and lively, creating the perfect setting for an unforgettable meal. The drinks were just as impressive, expertly crafted and well-balanced. A word of advice: make a reservation! We didn’t have one and faced an over one-hour wait. Fortunately, we were able to dine at the bar, which offers the full-service menu, but securing a table in advance is definitely the way to go. I can’t recommend this place enough—a must-visit for anyone looking for exceptional food, great drinks, and an unbeatable atmosphere!

Wow! From start to finish everything was top tier. Camille greeted us at thr door & offered seating options. We chose the bar. We were served by Jonathan. As well Graciel popped in from time to time. We had appetizers, dinner & the fortune cookie ice cream. My alcoholic beverage came in a luck cat cup! The service was great & so was the food. We can't wait to go back. Recommend making a reservation because they are a bit on the smaller side & very popular.

Google
Have only had the opportunity to order takeout but both times I ordered was such a lovely experience. You can tell the food is high quality ingredients, the staff is so friendly and kind and as a designer myself- the attention to detail on the marketing, death and logo are exceptional. I have told all my friends they must try this new local fave!

Alex A.

Yelp
I am not exaggerating when I say this is the best Chinese food I've ever had. Highly recommend the Mongolian beef and sweet and sour ribs!

Laura R.

Yelp
Wow! This was hands down the best Chinese food I've had in a long time! Everything was incredibly flavorful, fresh, and cooked to perfection. The flavors were spot on--nothing felt greasy, and every bite was delicious! I'll definitely be coming back to try more dishes when I am in the area. Highly recommend this place for anyone craving delicious Chinese food!

Josh F.

Yelp
Great food and service! This was some of the best Chinese food I've ever had, and I highly recommend the Mongolian Beef. Incredible ambiance and the cocktails are creative and delicious. Lazy Sister is now my go to for Chinese cuisine!

Yelp
I have only one complaint and that's the slamming front door - now that it's out of the way we can move on to the good stuff! From the moment we walked in, there's this vibe and the aroma of a good time. The bar looked so inviting but my husband insisted we needed a table since we were determined to order everything on the menu - we kind of did ... The cocktails we started with - so unique, so tasty / 3 kingdoms Hemingway & 5 spice old fashioned. Now to the apps: Beef in scallion pancake - wowza and gone in 60 seconds Dumplings - like someone's grandma made them, so lovely Soup dumplings - no words because I burned my mouth as I have no patience and it was worth it Wonton soup - hubs liked that it had a little kick Peking duck buns - ok so they looked unimpressive and a little skimpy, it was actually the perfect bite and the amount of duck and flavor was just delightful Here we go with the entree round - MUST GET THE CABBAGE it was soooo freaking good and we are not even cabbage people and those Shanghai noodles were addictive - if I wasn't so full I'm sure I would have kept shoveling the at bowl down my gullet! The Lazy Kitty cocktail was cute but too tart - too much lime juice maybe? But if that's your thing it's tasty and a big drink! Finally the fortune cookie ice cream which saved me from the stupid chili in the cabbage that I decided to bite like an idiot - thankfully the refreshing milkiness calmed that all down. I don't think I've ever been more excited nor blown away by Chinese cuisine - looking forward to enjoying leftovers today! Thank you Lazy Sister!!

Yelp
Pros:the Interior Design of the space brought a nice modern look to South Norwalk and clean. Cons: Food did not come out hot and not well flavored just salty. Would never go back based on the food. Very disappointed.

Alexandra C.

Yelp
Probably deserves 4 stars since this is as good as it gets for Chinese food I've tried in CT. But nothing wowed me. The best dish by far: the dan dan noodles. Not too oily as others are. The soup dumplings were okay-- broth was flavorful enough but the wrappers were undercooked. The sesame chicken was average -- sauce tasted mostly of sugar and no sesame flavor, chicken was cooked well- crunch on the outside, tender inside but the chicken itself had no flavor. Cucumber salad was a bunch of cucs chopped up with a spicy sauce for 10 bucks- could have made this at home myself for a dollar. Fortune cookie ice cream- tasted more like Italian cookie --- it is the same flavor of Anisettes. It was more like ice milk. Got to our table mostly melted. Prices very overpriced but hey, it's SoNo rent.

Vincent Y.

Yelp
Spectacular. Staff was super friendly and attentive. 5 Spice Sparkling Lemonade is a great mocktail and tastes like a regular cocktail, but without the alcohol. Highly recommend the crispy beef and ginger scallion fish, those exceeded my expectations. Very nice place in Norwalk, super busy in the evening.

Allison C.

Yelp
Lazy Sister has quickly become one of the hottest new restaurants in SoNo, so we had to go check it out because we always love Chinese food! Absolutely loved the vibe, and the service impressed us just as much as the food with they're quick and attentive service. We were in and out within an hour! Very creative drinks, and we had to order the Lucky Cat just for the fun glass! Delicious dim sum and unique fortune cookie soft serve for dessert. You'll definitely want to make a reservation in advance during peak times!

Michelle O.

Yelp
The ambiance of this restaurant is a modern cocktail bar, nothing else like it on the street. I thought the food was good and affordable, nice size portions, but nothing out of this world. What's unique is that it offers approachable Chinese food with a fun cocktail environment. It looked like a popular spot, and I would recommend a reservation. Also a positive, the bar stools looked extremely comfortable and I wish we had sat at the bar.

Zoe W.

Yelp
The food was great, but a little over priced in my opinion. We started off with the Wontons in Chili Oil which were delicious! Probably my favorite thing we ordered. We also ordered the pork soup dumplings which were good, but nothing amazing. I wouldn't order them again. We ordered the vegetable lo mein which was pretty standard. We then ordered the chicken dry hot pot style stir fry, which was very flavorful and yummy. We had to finish it off with their fortune cookie soft serve which was a unique and yummy desert option. I would definitely order it again. In total we paid about $85 for the two of us. Our waiter was very helpful and responsive, especially as it was a super busy night for them. We made reservations beforehand since this spot has been more popular since reopening and rebranding. Interior is very cute.

Mary B.

Yelp
Another interesting delightful family meal! I find the waiters over extended and sound decibels can be high regardless of seating location. Perhaps it's the enthusiasm over the upcoming dining experience.

Stacey G.

Yelp
Exactly what I was looking for on a Saturday night - great vibes, beautiful design, delicious food (have to come back to eat the things I didn't try!), excellent cocktails. This place really levels up Main Street and I love it! Pro tip - save room for the fortune cookie soft serve.

Isabelle W.

Yelp
If you're in Norwalk and craving Chinese food, Lazy Sister is the place to check out. But don't let the name fool you--the food here is anything but lazy. It's actually fantastic. My favorites were the wontons in chili oil, the spicy cucumber salad, beef-wrapped scallion pancakes, chicken lettuce wraps, mu shu pork, bok choy, cabbage, and string beans. I had a lot of favorites. But the ultimate treat? The fortune cookie soft serve! As a self-proclaimed soft serve snob, I can confidently say this did not disappoint. The staff is also super friendly and welcoming, and I even picked up a cozy pair of Lazy Sister pajamas while I was there which I LOVE! I'll definitely be back!

Michael B.

Yelp
First of all, Catherine treated us like royalty on our first visit! On each subsequent visit, we were family. The food is seasoned and prepared very well, and the spice level requested was hot - just as we like it. The atmosphere was whimsical and upbeat. The staff is very welcoming, and the decor was very well designed! We have found our Sichuan restaurant! Braveaux!! Michael & Richard

Yelp
Zero stars. Terrible service. I came in wanting to order food to go, hostess said i have to sit and order, sure ok, then waited 45 MIN to get dumplings! ....just to watch a man come in and pick up food with no issue. The table next to me , who arrived 20 min AFTER my order, received their food prior to me. Waitress did not say a word until I had to question what was going on. I was shocked by the lack of apology or urgency to get my $80 order. She asked "do you want the dumplings on the house?" I said no, its not about the money, its the principle. Huge waste of time. Lazy is the perfect name. Sisters wont make it. Guaranteed.

Deyan Z.

Yelp
If you're looking for truly authentic Chinese cuisine, this is the place to go. The flavors are spot-on, and everything--from the main dishes to the side dishes and even the noodles--tastes just like what I had in China. I love the cold sesame noodles and beef with broccoli. You can tell the ingredients are fresh, and the attention to detail in each dish is impressive. It's rare to find a restaurant that captures the essence of authentic Chinese cooking so well. Highly recommend for anyone craving a genuine taste of China. 強烈推薦!味道很地道!

Jack A.

Yelp
If you're looking for a spot that nails the perfect mix of fancy and fun, Lazy Sister is calling your name. This isn't your average Chinese restaurant--it's a full-on vibe. The moment you walk in, you're greeted with moody lighting and sleek décor (spoon wall), that makes you feel like you're in on something special. The food and drinks are just as exciting as the ambiance. The soup dumplings are little pockets of magic. We had a fun tutorial from our waitress on how to properly eat them and they were definitely our faves. Tender wrappers hold a burst of piping-hot broth and perfectly seasoned filling. They deliver. Then there's the cabbage dish, which might sound like a snooze, but was recommended by a friend and it's awesome. It has this addictive, savory flavor and perfect texture which is hard to describe and also hard to stop eating. It's the dish you didn't know you needed. The bar menu here is next-level as well. Drinks that look as good as they taste. Whether you're into classics with a twist or wild, experimental concoctions, there's something for everyone. Bonus: they pair perfectly with the upbeat music and buzzing crowd. Ended with fortune cookie ice cream. Delicious. Seriously great energy here and the kind of spot that leaves you smiling long after the check arrives.

N R.

Yelp
The best Chinese food I have ever had. Everything was high quality and extremely fresh. Nothing was saucy or greasy. Definitely give it a try. My only complaint is I wish they would use a better quality rice, then it would be perfect.

Ally S.

Yelp
"STOP EVERYTHING YOU'RE DOING AND GET TO LAZY SISTER RIGHT NOW! This South Norwalk treasure has completely revolutionized my expectations of Chinese cuisine! Every single dish feels like it was crafted with pure magic and love. OH. MY. GOODNESS. Their soup dumplings are a RELIGIOUS EXPERIENCE - that perfectly delicate wrapper and that rich, flavorful broth is pure joy! The Shanghai pan fried noodles had me literally dancing in my seat - that perfect crispy-to-chewy ratio is INSANE. And the sauce in their Three Cup Chicken is so good I wanted to drink it straight up ! The Kung Pao shrimp with eggplant knocked my socks off - it's that perfect balance of spicy and savory! And I'm of course still dreaming of their house special Dan Dan noodles. FIRE! The space itself is just as incredible as the food - modern, welcoming, with these adorable illustrations that just make you smile. The staff treats you like family from the moment you walk in, and their enthusiasm for the food is infectious! PROTIP: Save room for their fortune cookie ice cream - it's the perfect end to the impeccable dining experience. I've eaten at Chinese restaurants all over Connecticut, and nothing comes close to Lazy Sister. My only regret now is telling all of you which worsens my chance for a table! P.S. the merch is catch me on my next overnight flight rocking my LS eye mask"

Yelp
Great food!!! Great Team!! Drinks and everything is To die for!!! Graciel, John and Perla are the best!!

Anna A.

Yelp
The food is fantastic. This is not take out Chinese, but a higher quality, as is reflected in the prices which are not cheap. Came for lunch at 12 on a Wednesday. We had Soup dumplings, Mongolian beef, veggie fried rice and the string beans. All were excellent. But for these four dishes (no beverages), with tip was $80-For two people at lunch on a weekday. No wonder the place was empty. The servers were attentive and the food arrived promptly. The restaurants decor is simple, but rather bland. The menu is not extensive. It has a lot of the basics and popular Chinese dishes. Asked for hot tea and was told they are newly opened and figuring out the hot water. What???

Alex H.

Yelp
This is the best Chinese i have had in years! Highly recommend it. Every dish we had was better than the previous. Please open in miami asap!

Gary H.

Yelp
Everything was amazing! Authentic yet modern - absolutely delicious! Can't wait to go back!

Geoff S.

Yelp
Phenomenal Asian food with a hip vibe on Washington st. We live across the st and noticed the place has been packed since they opened and came by to check it out. We were greeted by the owner at the front who Seated us quickly. The food was soo good we will be back weekly. Such an improvement and asset to Washington st. Great cocktails and the cabbage was insanely good.

Atticus F.

Yelp
Outstanding food and warm friendly service. Loved the dan dan noodles and cocktails as well. A really great new spot in Sono.

Tyleigh Z.

Yelp
Back when this was "Enchanted Szechuan", it was my favorite restaurant in CT (i grew up here). The food items on the menu that they kept from Enchanted Szechuan (dry pot specifically) are AMAZING!! But the service and treatment I received at now Lazy Susan was awful. They were flat out rude and so unaccommodating (the hostess and bartender specifically). I MISS ENCHANTED SZECHUAN!!!!

Mark S.

Yelp
First timers - Lunch Great surprise, wonderful experience. Bartenders and service staff excellent and welcoming. Cocktails great and food the same. Soup dumplings, cold sesame noodles, hot and sour soup, spicy cucumber salad. (Not for the faint hearted. ) All wonderful. Look forward to returning for main dishes. Put at the top of your to do list.

Edie K.

Yelp
Food has amazing flavour! Dumplings so juicy. Restaurant has great service and relaxed ambiance.

Maria C.

Yelp
Huge improvement in the decor from the former Enchanted Szechuan. Food is mixed though and not very authentic. The steamed ginger fish was delicious but when my order of Shanghai pan fried noodles came, I was confused as it was sautéed udon. I said to the waitress that my order was wrong and she said no, that's how they make pan fried noodles. .. so disappointing. Then our last dish of crispy beef came and it was tough and way too sweet. All in all, I prefer the old Enchanted Szechuan.

John C.

Yelp
Good solid food, very good service. But massively overpriced $21 dollars for a simple chicken dish is too much!

Abigail B.

Yelp
Tasty upscale Chinese food, great service, friendly owner. We ordered the Shanghai noodles with vegetable, general tso's chicken, beef scallion pancakes and the soup dumplings. Everything was delicious.

Brando B.

Yelp
Love this place! They cleaned up the space so it's legit very nice inside. Kept the core of the legacy menu, and the same kitchen staff. Then put together a bomb cocktail menu. Everyone in there is so sweet. The food is of course amazing. Love love love!

Jack D.

Yelp
Excellent new Chinese restaurant with delicious dishes, great ambiance, and creative branding. Drinks were fantastic, specifically the chili crisp margarita. Food highlights were Dan Dan noodles, beef scallion pancake, Shanghai pan fried noodles, fried rice, 3 cup chicken, honey walnut shrimp. Executes all the classics well, some of the best Chinese dishes I have enjoyed in a long time. Fortune cookie ice cream is also fantastic and such a creative concept Beyond the food, the ambiance / decor / broader experience were all tastefully done. From the soup spoon laden wall to even the takeout bags, there is clearly so much thought put towards the holistic experience. Can't wait to come back soon

Danielle F.

Yelp
Some of the best Chinese I have ever had in my life! We ordered nearly everything on the menu, and everything was absolutely delicious! Everything from the design of the restaurant, to the cleanliness was top notch! I can't recommend it enough and can't wait to go back! Some of my favorite dishes were beef wrapped scallion pancakes, crispy beef, sesame chicken, mu shu pork and beef fried rice. Nothing was oily or greasy, which is usually the case with Chinese food. Highly recommend it! Still salivating over last night's dinner!

Russell S.

Yelp
We arrived at 5pm with our kids and were seated immediately and ordered quickly By 6pm we had only received our spring rolls that were cold in the center When we told them we had to go they said that normally it's 60 to 90 minutes from ordering to receive your food So be warned if you go there to expect 90 minutes from the time you order to the time you get your food

Yhan I.

Yelp
Best Chinese food I've had. The soup during and General Tsos were my favorite dishes. I am excited to return!

Laura S.

Yelp
Such a great spot! Really loved the eggplant and the moo shu pork! The service was really fast and everyone was super nice

Alex A.

Yelp
Amazing Chinese food. With gluten free options of all the classics. Super fun ambiance with a clean aesthetic. Service was friendly. Good date spot.

Bobby F.

Yelp
Best New Restaurant in the area in the last 10 years Love the atmosphere ... the setting does not feel crowded despite the restaurant being full ... Décor ... super cool .. spoon wall super creative ... love love the Lazy Sister Logo ... great merch opportunity Prices ... super fair ... reminds of Casa Me in Westport Vibe ... People were happy ... staff were smiling ... people laughing / sharing food / not looking at phones ... great mix of people ... young and older ... Drinks ... tasty Margarita / not too sweet .... appreciated they had Coors Light in a Can at super fair price ... oddly made it feel home like / unpretentious coolness comfortable ... bunch of other choices Food ... amazing ... think we had every dim sum / appetizer .. all A+ ... great to share ... we had a mix of items for entrees ... Crispy Beef & Beef & Broccoli amazing ... Noodles were showstopper ...

Chris U.

Yelp
Called to order take out. The girl asked for my phone number and then said "oh wait, we don't offer take out yet." I pointed out she just asked for my phone number and she said they are doing take out still for Enchanted Szechuan (the former restaurant) but not Lazy Sister. Okay.... Then I asked if the menu was msg-free. She said "yes....well, certain items have msg but I don't know which ones." Mic drop. Food allergies are a serious matter. I'd expect whoever is taking orders to know their menu better. Won't be calling back and won't be dining in.

Alex F.

Yelp
Hands down the best Chinese restaurant in the area. We had a super fun group dinner with creative takes on classic Chinese dishes and cool drinks! 10/10 food and drinks. The decor made for immaculate vibes. Love the Lazy brand! I'll be ordering take out and stopping by with friends and family often.

Marcia L.

Yelp
We loved everything about our meal at Lazy Sister! Our server was gracious and friendly, and made excellent suggestions. Our food was absolutely delicious, fresh and flavorful. It's hard to say what we liked best, but I definitely recommend the scallion ginger fish - it was amazing! Nice vibe; a perfect experience. We'll be back!

Riley L.

Yelp
The food was all so good! We ordered almost everything on the menu with a large group and it was delicious! Great place for a lunch or dinner with friends

Josh F.

Yelp
Attended a special friends and family soft opening. As a Chinese food lover there is much to be happy about here both in food and vibe. There is Cantonese, Szechuan, Taiwan, and even Hunan to be found if you look for it. Huge vibe improvement from previous owner. This very well could be CT answer to Ghengis Cohen in LA or Nancy's Pig Heaven in upper east side. Highlights include, beef in scallion pancake wrap, sesame and Dan Dan noodles, great wokhey in green beans (though could be firmer), Szechuan dry pepper chicken and tofu/fish boil (make sure you get them spicy), sleeper hit kungpao shrimp w/eggplant. Sweet and sour ribs tasty and tender, but need a better sear, crispy beef tasty but need larger morsels, Shanghai fried noodles tasty but use thick egg noodles not udon. Get the fortune cookie/almond soft serve (wowzers). Service friendly and attentive just a backed up kitchen made dinner over two hours but give it time. Keep this one afloat people, you won't regret it.

Hailey M.

Yelp
No one ever answers the phone. Interesting business practice. Not sure how they expect to survive.

Ilya D.

Yelp
At last, a great high-end Chinese restaurant in SoNo! We dined at the Lazy Sister a week after it opened and were impressed by its offering. The menu has the "classics" as well as a few nice surprises. Every dish we tried was fantastic, with sesame chicken, scallion pancakes and green beans being our favorites. Great decor, fun cocktail list and attentive waiting staff. We can't wait to be back!

Steven F.

Yelp
As a traditional Chinese food lover this place on POINT. They have created greatest combination the top 10 restaurants in NYC and brought it to Norwalk CT. Portions are very generous. My standout was the ginger scallion fluke. We sat at the bar and the vibes were great as well as the service with very comfortable bar stools. Hi recommend.

Stephan F.

Yelp
Exceeds all expectations for Chinese cuisine. Clean and modern atmosphere with an incredible drink menu. I particularly like how you're able to order Chinese classics as well as some new modern twists. There are clean and healthy options on the menu as well. The service was incredible I felt like I was at home.

Amy W.

Yelp
Dropped at the front door ten minutes early, the hostess said that our table would definitely be ready by the time we reserved. Seeing the extreme difficulty I was having just breathing, she brought over a chair and let me sit next to the door. Within about ten minutes, the hostess walked back behind a group of four young women and told me that my table was all set and just getting cleaned. Near the front door was a table with children that had finished eating, but were now feeding a baby. Next a family of three walked into the restaurant and greeted the hostess, who they clearly knew. The teenager was whining miserably that she would not sit at the table in the front where the baby people were finishing up. Next the hostess took that party of three and seated them at my table. I nicely asked the hostess what happened. She said the table with the baby were still occupying our table. When I said that I saw her take the people she knew to the table she said was ours, the hostess replied that the family were friends with the owner, and that meant that they got the special owner's friend's table that was supposed to be ours. At that point the others in my party insisted we leave and go to a place that doesn't treat people so poorly.
