We had dinner at Lazy Su in Canberra and absolutely loved it. We didn’t have a booking, but the staff was super friendly and found us a table right away. We ordered several dishes: broccolini, seafood noodle stir-fry, kingfish sashimi, the Wagyu Cheesesteak Spring Roll, and a few others I can’t even remember because everything was just that good. Next time I’m back in Canberra, this will definitely be one of my go-to places. The food was incredible and the vibe was perfect.

I’m from Melbourne and Lazy Sue’s is a place I frequent when I’m in town. Absolutely love my experience at this beautiful Asian fusion restaurant! The atmosphere is vibrant yet welcoming — stylish decor with just the right touch of modern. The service was attentive and friendly without ever feeling rushed. Every dish I tried was bursting with fresh, bold flavours — creative takes on classic dishes that still felt authentic and comforting like the cheeseburger spring rolls! Another favourite is the roast chicken ☺️ You can tell a lot of care goes into every plate. It’s clear why this spot is so popular! A perfect place for a special occasion. We’ll definitely be back when I’m in Canberra and definitely recommend!

Thoroughly enjoyable Asian Fusian restaurant. Never disappoints with a buzzing vibe. We arrived at 6pm and the restaurant was quiet but within an hour was full. Highly recommended for the food, service and vibe. The restaurant is located in Braddon which is busy Fridays and Saturdays so allow time for parking. Book well in advance.

The ever popular Asian fusion spot in Braddon is always busy for good reason! Plentiful drink and cocktail menu, plus lots of variety for food choice. Everything is great here from food to service.

Love the vibe! The lady let us sit in the normal table, but we ask to move to the one facing the road and we love it. We ordered couple of entree, small plates, large plates and both the desserts. We love everything, especially the entree!! Mushroom ssam, donburi nori taco and the yakimeshi fried rice are our fav! Will be back to try another dishes 🤌🤌🤌

Very chill Sunday lunch birthday celebration. First time at Lazy Su and it was very impressive. It wasn’t busy, which suited us. We went over the top and chose the “Feed me” option….and it was delicious. Seven small plates of Asian fusion goodness that really hit the spot. We washed it down with a bottle of Lark Hill Riesling…and that worked well. Highlights were difficult to pick, but for me it was Nori Taco. Light and lovely. Service was friendly and non-intrusive. Anyway, highly recommended. We walked back for a Sunday arvo food coma nap. 😎

We ordered the $65 set menu on Monday night. The staff who helped us to order the food gave us a really good drink recommendation. The drinks would be the reason for me to come back. The food is average, the bbq pork is abit dry in the bao dish, the cheeseburger spring roll is always good.

Nice place and atmosphere. It looks like Japanese but items on the menus are not the typical Japanese or other Asian restaurant dishes. The food is tasty and slightly above the average price. I wasn't happy that the chicken was served much earlier than other dishes and it got cold, but I think that was just a random occasion.

Yelp
Just got dinner here and had a great time. You walk in and immediately the atmosphere sets in, the bar setting, the art, the lights, and the music, I cannot complain. Food wise I definitely over ordered but that was mostly because I could not narrow down what I wanted. I went alone and sat at the bar. I ordered 1 wagyu cheesesteak spring roll, one jalapeño noodle popper, 2 honey chicken bao buns, and a side of the yakimeshi fried rice. The apps came out almost immediately along with the Seoul sister cocktail. The bao buns and fried rice too a bit longer but the waiter made sure to check in with me and let me know that he would check on my order without me asking him too. The apps were delicious along with this sauces. The bao buns were also really good, just a bit messy to eat. The fried rice was so damn good but at this point I was so full that I got a take away box and am hoping to heat up the rest tomorrow! Overall great experience and hoping I can come again and do the taster menu they offer!

Yelp
Lousy service, greasy food. My partner and I were both sick afterwards. Would definitely not recommend.

Yelp
We opted for their 'regular banquet' that came with a free sparking wine, 9 dishes and an identical dessert each. The highlights for me was the wagyu cheesesteak spring-roll and the tea smoked duck pancakes. The atmosphere was great with attentive waiters, who were amazing in explaining each of the dishes that came out. Full review: purplecuriosity.wordpress.com/2021/01/05/lazy-su/

Yelp
Pretty good! I think of it as a bar with bao (and other options) for snacks - not really a restaurant. If you're looking for a full meal you'll find better Asian food for less money scattered throughout the city. But it's a nice place to spend some time on a weekday evening.

Yelp
Good food spoiled by bad service. Waitress rudely insistent we leave by 8.30 even though they hadn't said so when we booked. Then said we had ordered too much & growled that she will just serve it as it comes so some will be eating while others watch. Stalked off without allowing us to reduce the order, was abrupt & kept saying we must vacate the table by 8.30 every time she came to the table. Did it again when we asked for dessert menu despite having at least 30min on the clock. If you can't do your job, please spare paying customers your bad behaviour.

Yelp
Delicious, quick, japanese-oriented asian food. Think Ramen, Bao, fried rice, sushi tacos (the best), poke salad. There are big plates for sharing, but I've found a couple of individual small pieces and some rice is a quick, inexpensive and satisfying meal. The cocktail list is spot on with espresso martinis on tap. Food is (mostly) fast; a few items have a longer cooking time but don't be surprised if your 40 minute dish takes an hour and a half and you keep hearing 'in another 20 minutes). This is my only frustration in what is otherwise, my new favourite spot.

Yelp
It's a bit weirdo when I find out that there are a few Korean dishes on the menu. I thought it was a Japanese restaurant lol. The Bao is good, while the crispy seafood is a little bit over cooked.

Yelp
Very good bao buns. New food and different flavours that i wouldn't of picked to be nice. Great service and atmosphere.
