This spot is definitely worth checking out if you’re craving fresh, flavorful food. I tried the prawn and pork dumplings, and they were a standout—spicy, zesty, and absolutely bursting with flavor. The filling was perfectly seasoned, and the combination of pork and prawn was balanced and satisfying. The other dish that I tried was the pork bun. The buns were super soft, almost pillowy, and just the right amount of chewiness. They paired beautifully with the char siu pork, pickled radish and sliced cucumbers. While the foods are fantastic, I have to say the price is on the higher side for what you’re getting. It’s not exactly budget-friendly, but if you’re looking for quality and flavor, it’s still worth considering. The ambience is simple yet cozy, making it a great spot for a casual date or catching up with friends. It’s got a relaxed vibe that feels welcoming, but nothing too fancy. Overall, if you’re okay with spending a little extra, the food and experience here won’t disappoint!

Visited Canberra for the first time and found Lazy Su among the list of must try and didn’t disappoint. We went for the banquet which we didn’t have to wait too long for. Fried wonton chips with a generous serving of edamame dip. They provide more chips complimentary. We especially love the wagyu rolls, wished they served more of that! Also, wanted the cheese dip for the rest of the chips but it got taken away before we could say anything. (We’re too introverted) We wished there were more bao buns to go with the pork, it was just too small but it was good. The roasted chicken was a little dry, but the sauce was lovely. The cucumber fennel salad was also delightful. Love that takeaway containers didn’t incur extra charges. They have lots of drink options as well.

Beautiful flavours in carefully prepared delicious food! The staff are amazing and we didn’t even have to ask for anything: they read our thoughts and minds. We tried all of their vegan options (there are lots to choose from) and highly recommend them all.

My first time at Lazy Su, We went vegan and had the Jalapeno noodle popper, Crispy Peking vegan bao, Agedashi Gyoza and kimchi Fried rice. All the flavours were Asian fusion and yummy. Everything was delivered quickly and perfectly. The staff were friendly and quick. The place does a lot of business. Very popular.

We loved this restaurant! Food was exceptional quality and value for money. Standout dish was definitely the waygu cheesesteak spring roll and the edamame dip but everything was superb. Service was super friendly and helpful too. Can’t wait to come back here when we next visit Canberra.

The food is always amazing and the service very attentive. This time was no exception, the Kingfish and Salmon sashimi we started with was fresh and light. The seaweed Tacos have always been a favourite and they didn't disappoint. The spicy wontons were luscious and melted in the mouth and the sauce in which it was swimming was complex and had the right level of spiciness.Everything came out swiftly and we were served inconspicuously. Dishes were cleared as soon as we finished. Water was topped up.The prices are reasonable for the innovative fusion dishes on offer. One of my favourite places in Canberra when I visit from Sydney. This visit was a birthday celebration and the birthday girl loved the food and picked the place.Oh and we had a choice of seating so we picked a window, which made it even better

Google
This was an amazing discovery!! I was looking for a Malaysian restaurant, and googled identified Lazy Su. When my team and I got there realised it was modern Asian fusion. The food was absolutely delicious!!

Google
We visited Lazy Su and ordered our usual favorites, which were as delicious as ever. This time, we also decided to try the bao. I’m usually a bit fussy, so I wasn’t sure what to expect, but they turned out to be amazing! The balance of flavors was perfect, and the honey wasn’t overpoweringly sweet. Overall, another great experience!

Yelp
Just got dinner here and had a great time. You walk in and immediately the atmosphere sets in, the bar setting, the art, the lights, and the music, I cannot complain. Food wise I definitely over ordered but that was mostly because I could not narrow down what I wanted. I went alone and sat at the bar. I ordered 1 wagyu cheesesteak spring roll, one jalapeño noodle popper, 2 honey chicken bao buns, and a side of the yakimeshi fried rice. The apps came out almost immediately along with the Seoul sister cocktail. The bao buns and fried rice too a bit longer but the waiter made sure to check in with me and let me know that he would check on my order without me asking him too. The apps were delicious along with this sauces. The bao buns were also really good, just a bit messy to eat. The fried rice was so damn good but at this point I was so full that I got a take away box and am hoping to heat up the rest tomorrow! Overall great experience and hoping I can come again and do the taster menu they offer!

Yelp
Lousy service, greasy food. My partner and I were both sick afterwards. Would definitely not recommend.

Yelp
We opted for their 'regular banquet' that came with a free sparking wine, 9 dishes and an identical dessert each. The highlights for me was the wagyu cheesesteak spring-roll and the tea smoked duck pancakes. The atmosphere was great with attentive waiters, who were amazing in explaining each of the dishes that came out. Full review: purplecuriosity.wordpress.com/2021/01/05/lazy-su/

Yelp
Pretty good! I think of it as a bar with bao (and other options) for snacks - not really a restaurant. If you're looking for a full meal you'll find better Asian food for less money scattered throughout the city. But it's a nice place to spend some time on a weekday evening.

Yelp
Good food spoiled by bad service. Waitress rudely insistent we leave by 8.30 even though they hadn't said so when we booked. Then said we had ordered too much & growled that she will just serve it as it comes so some will be eating while others watch. Stalked off without allowing us to reduce the order, was abrupt & kept saying we must vacate the table by 8.30 every time she came to the table. Did it again when we asked for dessert menu despite having at least 30min on the clock. If you can't do your job, please spare paying customers your bad behaviour.

Yelp
Delicious, quick, japanese-oriented asian food. Think Ramen, Bao, fried rice, sushi tacos (the best), poke salad. There are big plates for sharing, but I've found a couple of individual small pieces and some rice is a quick, inexpensive and satisfying meal. The cocktail list is spot on with espresso martinis on tap. Food is (mostly) fast; a few items have a longer cooking time but don't be surprised if your 40 minute dish takes an hour and a half and you keep hearing 'in another 20 minutes). This is my only frustration in what is otherwise, my new favourite spot.

Yelp
It's a bit weirdo when I find out that there are a few Korean dishes on the menu. I thought it was a Japanese restaurant lol. The Bao is good, while the crispy seafood is a little bit over cooked.

Yelp
Very good bao buns. New food and different flavours that i wouldn't of picked to be nice. Great service and atmosphere.
