Lazybird Coffee

This is a coffee shop, so I am rating her against other coffee shops. This was my first time and I connected with the owner as he was bringing today’s stock of the best butter mochi I’ve ever had: tiny, perfect, decadent - crunchy on the outside and moist and chewy on the inside. For those who fight for the corner pieces… he is the bite you never knew you needed, crunch edge in every bite. We had their congee with pork: Note: it’s Kalua Pork made with the right balance of saltiness and smokiness. Definitely coming back. Yummy coffee shop stuff too. Also dog friendly. I sat outside and had several dog owners walk by and I ask so the dogs came to hang before moving on. If you love dogs outside is the place to chill.

This is a jewel in the neighborhood. Busy in the weekends and the food is amazing. I had the ground meat, egg and rice dish. Yummy! Had an ube latte, super yummy. My daughter had the avocado toast and a tasty matcha with strawberry. Service is friendly and competent. Vibes are mellow. Come here!

Lazy Bird is one of few walkable coffee shops for me and I like the place in theory but am usually disappointed with my coffee. Food is FANTASTIC - love love love the chorizo breakfast burrito. But the sizing options for coffee are very limiting. As far as I know there is only one size for iced drinks and it’s pretty massive. They also barely put any ice in. So you end up with a giant cup of room temp milk and the ratio is so off that you can’t even taste the espresso. I wish they had a standard smaller iced latte size option so that the classic ratio for a latte could be made to order. Instead, if I want a latte that actually tastes like a latte, I have to order one with double the espresso and ask them for extra extra ice (which they typically still skimp on). With these add ons I am paying $9 for a latte that tastes somewhat normal. I come here out of convenience but I would come daily if that fixed their iced latte ratios and offered smaller sizes. I’m not a negative review type of person but I worked in the coffee industry for years and I definitely think this suggestion would leave customers like myself more likely to return

I went out of my way to come here since I’ve heard amazing stuff & the coffee was pretty damn good , perfect balance of flavor / coffee/ sweetness! I was disappointed with my “foam” it’s basically nonexistent.i did noticed it was poured out of a jug which I thought was odd , since it take all of 3 seconds with a hand whisk . I didn’t ask for more or for it to be remade because the girl taking the order was already being short & unwelcoming, repling in an annoyed,short tone . Then again maybe that was my fault for asking her questions about a few drinks ???

Lovely and cozy coffee shop with a bright, modern vibe! Lazybird Coffee is a perfect spot to relax or get some work done. The coffee is rich and smooth, and the food is fresh, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. I especially enjoyed the brunch dishes and specialty drinks. The staff are friendly, welcoming, and quick with service. The space is clean, stylish, and very comfortable. Prices are reasonable for the quality. Highly recommended if you’re in Alameda — I’ll definitely be coming back!

Came in on a rainy afternoon. If you’re an Alameda local who appreciates good third wave coffee and espresso, just go to Signal or Highwire. The kid barista clearly does not know how to make a cappuccino. The milk is oversteamed and I’m surprised this cafe does not even bother with drink presentation. What is this matcha😭 I have worked as a barista for years and this is just really lazy work. The kids hired here are on their phones. The name of the place is appropriate for the service. Food and coffee not worth the price.

The service could be better the employees seemed upset, also they should not let other customers grab other customers drinks, this regular old white lady grabbed my drink from the counter and one no told her not to do that probably because she's a regular and an old white woman but did not like that at all. I know if she was a different font they would have said something.

Randomly stopped here during my first trip to Alameda and was so happy with my Cortado and congee! The service and menu is wonderful and they offer a lot of gluten free options. I will definitely be back again and again once we officially move here.

Great energy here! EVERYONE, even the customers were all so friendly. My husband and I are visiting from out of town and fell in love with the atmosphere. Food was on point, coffee was perfect, just a charming little place that will forever be a favorite of ours

easily one of my fave local coffee shops! they were busy the time we went, but the service was still excellent! drinks and food came out at a reasonable time, so thank you to all the employees who got everyone caffeinated for the morning of thanksgiving! the ube matcha latte was delicious and mango matcha was great, the mango flavor just tasted a little syrupy. I might go every morning just for that veggie quiche! it's such a cute local spot that everyone thoroughly enjoys!

Stopped by Lazybird Coffee for a spontaneous, late morning coffee and it was a pretty good experience. The line was a bit long, but moved fairly quickly. Customer service was friendly and adequate. I thought the space was nice, but a bit too small and cramped. It was quite crowded when I visited, so I had to shuffle around awkwardly while waiting for my order to make room for other customers. However, once the shop emptied out a bit, it was slightly better and felt more comfortable. The menu has a good variety of various drinks, pastries, and savory breakfast items, such as quiche, sandwiches, avocado toast, and even congee. I ordered an iced pandan latte along with a pandan waffle and chai latte. The pandan latte was refreshing and enjoyable, although the pandan flavor was more subtle than expected. I thought the pandan waffle was quite tasty. It was warm, crispy, and definitely had the right amount of pandan flavor I was looking for. My mom shared that the chai latte was a little too sweet. I also noticed a Rose Lychee Latte on the menu and hope to try it next time. Overall, I was satisfied with my order, and am curious to return and try other drinks & pastries in the future. I'd recommend stopping by Lazybird Coffee for a quick drink and breakfast snack!

I cannot with how much I love Lazybird! Been there twice and each time I got the congee with optional add ons: kalua pork, fried egg, and chili crisp. It is, no joke, the best congee I've ever had. The pork is smoky, the broth of the congee is so flavorful and perfectly savory/comforting. I will be back again and again for this. Each drink I ordered at each visit was perfect as well. The first time was a daily special, I think -- a rose and lychee latte (if I'm remembering correctly!) and the second time I had them make an Arnold Palmer out of their Yuzu lemonade and black mango iced tea. DELICIOUS! No photo because I consumed everything too happily to pause with my phone and take a picture! Next time I'll try...

Tried Lazybird Coffee while in Alameda and I didn't know exactly what I wanted so I winged it with getting a Horchata Latte and honestly it was a great decision!! I loved it especially since they added cinnamon on top. I was surprised with the amount of food options they had, and since I went in the morning I got 2x spam musubis and they were still warm! This place only has limited amount of seating (it's a small-ish) place but still really nice and cozy. They had pastries in the front that looked delightful! Would definitely go back!!

Went back here for 2nd time. Sadly wasn't able to get their White Chocolate Matcha as we came an hour before their closing. Was able to try their Ube crinkle and triple ginger though. I enjoyed eating the triple ginger cookie more than the Ube crinkle though as I can't taste much of the Ube in it. Their Pandan Latte is still the best one that I have to all Pandan Lattes I've tried. I can still taste the Pandan and I am still willing to commute for it. It's a small cafe but it's a good place to chat with friends.

Hmm, almond milk latte seemed to lack much of a coffee flavor. I did like the split croissant with greens and an over easy egg - very tasty. Place was clean, Bathroom was clean, workers were aloof - all good, I will be back, just not for the latte.

Pretty yummy though I wish the horchata latte tasted more like horchata, seemed to be a regular latte with cinnamon on top.

My favorite coffee shop on the island. Coffee is great and food selection is even better. Love the spam musubi and my kids love the donuts. 4 stars because the staff here is the opposite of friendly which is such a bummer. They don't even greet you when you walk up to the register. Please train them up or get new staff it's just as important as the food and drink you serve.

I had a bit of an unpleasant experience that would lead me not to travel all the way over here again. I saw this coffee shop and the logo intrigued me. I drove 45 minutes to get here, tucked in the sleepy Alameda residential. I go inside and was not greeted. The cashier gave off an off-putting attitude and was very blunt. I ordered a matcha and a coffee to compare the two as well as a seasonal pumpkin chai. The inside of the location was small but I thought it was cozy. I later went in to buy another drink to try. Matcha: 0/10. I got the banana matcha and even paid extra for cold foam but it was disgusting. The matcha flavor was barely there and it tasted watery with not even a hint of banana. Horchata coffee: 8/10 delicious. Strong coffee and cinnamon flavor and really tasty Honeycomb coffee: 8/10 also equally delicious though I wish there was more honey-flavor to it. Pumpkin chai: 9/10 decent with good pumpkin flavor, not much of a floral aftertaste from the chai I was disappointed to be greeted worse when I went in for the second coffee so for that reason, I wouldn't recommend this place.

What a disappointment. I'm so sad to say, considering the cute logo as well as other positive reviews but I was just greatly disappointed by it all, especially considering the long drive I made to try this place. Primarily the customer service. Came in on a Sunday morning- it was empty inside, a couple eating outside so I can't even blame it on the business of the store. Upon arrival the cashiers seemed annoyed that we stepped foot inside, we order and are met with very short curt responses. Once it was time to pay the cashier just walked away from the front and I'm left standing there like...ok. The cafe is very small, a table or two inside but they had hydro flasks on the table like they didn't want patrons sitting down. We wait and they put the coffees on the bar and just disappear. Great. Now attitude is one thing but if it tastes good I'm going to look past it. The pumpkin chai was meh. It was ok. I've had way better. Now the honeycomb latte my sister got was just vile. Watery coffee, no honey flavor. We got a third drink since we made it so far, the banana matcha greatly disappointed. The vanilla cold foam had no flavor. The matcha flavor was just barely there, where was the banana? She was not in the room. Needless to say I will not be returning. Really sad considering the logo is so cuuuuute.

Such a charming little cafe in alameda. Stopped by to try an iced coffee. But couldn't resist a salmon avocado toast and it was so tasty! Nice fresh ingredients. 10/10. I ordered an iced honeycomb latte which came with dehydrated honeycomb inside. What a treat! It was so tasty. I will absolutely be returning. Parking is easy and staff is really friendly. Can't wait to try more of their menu items.

Lazybird coffee is a charming little spot in Alameda. It is pretty small with only a handful of tables so it's more of a grab and go or quick sit down type of place to chat with your friends. They have an awesome selection of drinks and pastries that make it worth a visit. I tried the Ube Matcha latte which had a nice flavor overall. It wasn't too sweet, nor was it too strong but there were quite a few much of powder chunks at the bottom that threw it off a bit. The real star of the show was the open faced yay choy croissant. OMG!! 10/10! It was so unique and delicious that I'm still thinking about it and already planning my next visit just for that. Service was fine, nothing special, but it wasn't bad either. Parking can be a bit tricky since it's street parking only, so plan accordingly. I'll definitely be back and can't wait to try more of their drinks and pastries!

Ordered a chocolate chip cookie, blueberry lemon scone, horchata latte and honeycomb latte. Parking was difficult since it's in a neighborhood but makes a good walk for the treat. Cookie was nice and chewy and the scone was nice and dense. Drinks came out great! Seating is limited inside but they have a few tables and seats out

When I charge my car in the AM, I'll typically swing by to pick up Gluten Free Goodies for my daughter. The Pandan Waffle is good. The babingka muffins are great! These taste like your at your auntie's house, and she's made a rectangular cake sheet of babingka. And you rush over to cut a slice of an edge piece because it's crispy and moist all at the same time... well, these muffins are forever edges! Every bite is crispy and moist! I typically get 6... The breakfast sliders look basic. They look like you should be able to make these at home. But, I highly bought I can replicate it. So I just continue to buy! It's the right amount of ham and soft scrambled egg with melt cheese in between a warm Hawaiian roll. The sauce... I'm not sure what it is! Some kind of aioli.. But it pulls it all together! So so good!

First time I went there: Got THE most chicken sh*t avocado toast I've ever had. Bread slices were stale, razor thin and tiny. Barely any avocado...all for 10 bucks?? No thank you. Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice and I'm never coming here again. Second time I went, I paid 35$ for two lattes and two croissants...am I missing something here? Ridiculous. Really putting the Lazy in Lazy Bird considering I had to wait 15 minutes for two pre-made croissants. See you never.

Definitely stumbled upon this gem while I was in the area. Cute coffee vibe and the baristas are super patient. The pastries are amazing and they go quickly, so I will definitely be returning and doing a pastry grab when it is early. I think I had the Matcha when I was there. It was ok and I wish it had a little more flavor, but hey you cannot win them all.

If it's a dog-friendly cafe, you better believe I'll go! After coming across LazyBird on Yelp and pursuing their menu, I knew I had to come here. Companion and I came on the weekend, and I was a massive fan of the drinks and how dog-friendly they were. The cafe is small in size but super cute and minimalistic. There's about 3-4 tables for those to sit, chat, and work at. Some customers seemed to be working or studying. We agreed we could work from home here. There's also a spot to buss your own dishes, a bathroom, and dog treats! Service was efficient and our drinks came out fast. I love pandan and had to try their Pandan Latte. Their drinks come with double shots but I asked for one shot and Oat Milk. My companion had an Ube Latte with Oat Milk. The pandan flavor was sweet and strong. For ube, it was hard to taste it. The drinks were decently sized for the price. Overall, I love their variety of traditional and creative drinks and food items! Lots of Asian inspired goods which I'm always a fan of. I already know I'll be back with my pup. For those in Alameda and the East Bay, LazyBird is so worth the visit if you have a dog. Everything about it is great. With it located off Central Ave. parking is easy to find around the neighborhood. Can't wait to be back!

We were in town for the Art and wine festival. I looked up a coffee shop and this was highly recommended. I noticed that they had a pandam latte. As expected on a Saturday,it was crowded. A good sign. Once inside they had a few different drinks that I wanted to try. There were plenty of people working,so the line went quickly. I only had to wait a few minutes before I was called . The place has seating inside and tables outside. This is a dog friendly shop. Most of not all the outside customers had dogs. There was a water bowl set out as well. My pandam latte was smooth and creamy. It had that sweet pandam taste. One of the better ones that I've tasted

First time at Lazy Bird Coffee and I'm already obsessed. Their menu is packed with fun flavors like ube, pandan, yuzu, and even congee! I had to try the congee and it's a solid 10/10. Also grabbed a horchata latte, which was perfectly balanced and so delicious. The space is clean and inviting, with a chill vibe, and the staff were super friendly. Can't wait to come back and try more.

I'm a regular here but I still haven't navigated through the entire drinks and food menu. Here is what I got today: Breakfast Burrito 5/5 I hate that it's premade since it looks like something I made at home. But it's in a warmer and it taste fresh. Basically includes egg, cheese, hash brown, longanisa (Filipino sausage), and non-spicy guac sauce. It was very filling but not the prettiest or biggest portion for $8. I would get it again! Pandan Oat Iced Latte 4/5 I loved the presentation! I tried the pandan from the bottom before stirring it. You can taste the pandan slightly but it's not as bold as I'd hoped. The syrup just made it sweet. I liked moving my straw from the espresso, milk, and pandan separately to taste the quality individually before mixing it through. Once I mixed it through, the drink kept its green look almost like matcha but more like a Wicked musical green rather than a ceremonial deep matcha color. The pandan taste was gone and it tasted more syrup coffee like than actual pandan flavor which sucked for me. I'd still try it again if someone else made it or something. Every barista makes it with their own flare I'd assume. Ube Crinkle 3.5/5 Tasted like it was made a day or two ago since it was mostly too hard for a crinkle IMO. The center was soft but the outside was too crispy. Maybe I got a well-done cookie by mistake even though the outside looked perfect. The ube flavor wasn't as bold as I'd hoped. Contrast to the color, the ube flavor was more on the subtle side. I probably wouldn't try this item again. The best part we love about visiting LazyBird is that it's a 15-20min walk from home on the leisure route so it gives our Pooch, Eloise enough time to do her business beforehand and the cafe is dog-friendly inside and out. There are plenty of doggo moms and dads that bring their furry and not so furry babies to visit the cafe so Ellie gets plenty of pets and playtime. Obviously, will return to try more on the menu. I suggest you hurry over if you haven't tried it yet.

We were in the neighborhood with friends and found this local gem and decided to try it out. The menu had some good selections of food, bakery items and drinks. We LOVED the latte's (regular and decaf). It was the first time trying this local roaster, https://www.bicyclecoffeeco.com/ We tried the Bibinka muffin, quiche and the Kra Pao. We wanted to try the Ube cookies but we'll save that for next time. It seems like a great local spot with great parking along Central Ave. The inside is very clean and a decent amount of indoor and outdoor seats. The front house service was efficient and polite. Sometimes it can get busy so be patient. If you too are in the area I'd suggest giving them a try!

3.75/5 Decent place to head to for your coffee fix but nothing amazing about it. They do have a lot of unique food options such as congee and toasts. Service is good and the ambiance was fine. The place is smaller than I expected and seating is limited indoors, though they have more seating outdoors. Overall, this is like your cute neighborhood coffee shop--pretty decent, but nothing phenomenal. THE FOOD: --Rose Lychee Latte: 6/10 it just tasted like a latte with rose lychee syrup. It wasn't too cohesive. --Horchata Latte: 8/10 this one was pretty good and still had that strong coffee flavor. --Pandan waffle: 6/10 the waffle barely had any pandan flavoring and wasn't all that green either which was different from their display hahaha.

Parking is a little tough. It as manageable and we got our steps in. I would not want to try to get a drink on the quick during peak hours. My cortado was excellent the latte was also delicious. We split a nice sized blueberry scone and it was oh so tasty. We got lucky with searing. It's popular and the tables are few. The long line moved quickly. Friendly smiles and on point service. The line was full of conversion and kind folks. Would absolutely repeat. Prices were very fair. Can't wait to get back soon.

The service was a little slow, and not super duper out-of-the-way friendly, which is usually fine, but when I say "thank you" to someone, I sort of expect a response back. The drinks were ok. I like mine sweeter so it was nice that they have sugar packets and simple syrup out. The tomato butrata toast was cold by the time we got it :/ Not enough tables, imo. No public bathrooms. They have spoons out to stir your drink (with a corresponding dirty spoons container), which I appreciated.

Finally walked here to try this for the first time after a year of saying I'd do so First off, the colors and decor of the business is such a vibe. I also love the adorable Lazybird logo- very cute. Essentially, the place looks inviting and you WANT to try it. The menu is very extensive with all different kinds of lattes from your classic Chai to a Honey Lavender or even a Samoas (Girl Scouts cookie) latte. If you know me, you know im a sucker for lattes and I had to try the Rose Lychee latte. I ordered mine iced with oatmilk and it was delicious! I could definitely taste the rose and little hints of lychee, nothing too overpowering. I would definitely get this again. They also have different pastries and food items. Along with my latte, I got spam musubi and a morning bun, but if I had more room, I would've definitely ordered their breakfast burrito. Inside is a nice place to chill and work as many were doing. Outside is very chill and you get to watch the cars go by. The outdoor seating was spaced out enough where I was able to bring my big 'ol stroller and not have to worry about if I was getting in anyone's way, so that's always a big plus for me! 10/10 recommend. Will be back again sometime this week!

Ladybird is a cute little coffee shop on the west end. I ordered an iced ube latte, it was perfect. It wasn't too sweet or too bitter it was just right! They have food and sweet treats as well. I definitely will come back to try other things.

Cute cafe on the west end that's dog friendly! There's a handful of patio chairs and tables outdoors with a small seating area inside. Pastries are from semifreddis, but they also have spam musubi-with Furikake! Got here and the spam musubi was still warm too-great complement to my coffee. Service is friendly, parking can sometimes be tough here so you may need to circle around.

i was ready to settle for some mid "i need chai" kind of morning -- until i was completely mind blown by this miracle of caffeine. what a beautiful surprise.

The Avocado Toast is incredible -- I don't know what the secret is but it has the perfect savory flavor! Love the vibe of this local coffee shop, really everything they serve is delicious but I mainly stick to the Avocado Toast (it's that good, can't get enough of it).

Wonderful Atmossphere the employees are really helpful. Lots of Christmas specials for the holidays.

Delicious food and pretty solid lattes. The smoked salmon avocado toast was fresh and delicious-- the bread was toasted perfectly to match the creamy avocado and cream cheese along with the crunch of fresh cucumber. Definitely would order this again. The turkey brie panini had a delicious crunch and rich melty brie and arugula. Salty, satisfying, and savory. The atmosphere was relaxed, clean and casual-- with comfortable outdoor streetside tables and inside seating as well. We took our food and coffees to some picnic tables at a nearby beach cove for a nice view.

Breakfast burrito was a bit small for $8 but the filling was delightful! Congee with pork was yummy, meat was shredded kalua pork, and comes with swirl of chili sauce on top. Would help if they differentiate dirty vs clean spoons better.... getting my coffee someone put the dirty spoon in the clean spoons bin. Friendly fast service, order at the take out counter. Small space with only about 3 tables inside, 2 outside. Not for large crowds.

SUPER GOOD! I was recommended this place by a real beverage pro and his recommendation did NOT disappoint! I asked the lady at the counter what she recommends since I've never been before and she told me the matchas and coffee wise, the horchata latte with vanilla foam which is what I got.... ITS SO GOOD!! I got it with oatmilk and it's SUPPPERRR creamy and busstacular in general.. I WOULD 10/10 RECOMMEND! I also got the Lazybird sandwich and that too was super good! They make it with Brie cheese which was a little on the saltier side but STILL SUPER GOOD!! The place was pretty full, they have tables in and outside if you wanted to chill or hang out with a friend or even do homework!

Why haven't I come here sooner?! Lazybird coffee is the cutest shop. On a weekday morning, I easily found parking on the street. The shop itself doesn't have a ton of tables inside, so might not be the best for working/studying with a group. It looks like people mostly go for takeout though. I went with one of their March specials, the honeycomb latte. So good that I'm still trying to figure out how to replicate it at home so I could have it more often. I also got a banana bread slice, which was a perfect complement. I didn't realize they had so much food here too! Pastries, desserts, spam musubi, and a large menu of sandwiches and toasts. This time I went with their Kalua pork jalapeño slaw sandwich ($15). Not my favorite. I think there was something about the slaw that just didn't mesh well for me and the Kalua pork could've used more flavor. Maybe I got it on an off day, but not sure if I'd order it again. I'll def be back to try some of their other lattes though!

Coffee was good but customer service sucks. I ordered the horchata latte and vanilla latte which were both surprisingly good despite foul demeanors. I walked in happily with smiles and the 2 girls at the cashier met me with blank eyed short responses. Not even a greeting or smile. It does not look like they want to work here. Ambience could be better if they smiled or just seemed even the slightest of happy.

A cute little coffee shop serving up an array of baked goods and fun coffees. The decaf cappuccino was smooth and well made. The brownie sadly was not my favorite. While it looked fudgey and rich, all the things one wants in a brownie, it was dry and cakey, all the things one doesn't want in a brownie. I didn't even know they served more substantial lunch offerings so I tried the smoked salmon over quinoa and added avocado. While healthy, the smoked salmon overpowered the dish, with nothing to offset the extreme saltiness of the dish ... it didn't quite work. While not bad, I wouldn't necessarily say I enjoyed it. Overall, I'd come again for the coffee and try a different baked good and leave my lunch for another place.

Visited Lazybird on a Saturday afternoon. It's a casual and cute space. Street parking was easy to find on Weber Street. Service was sufficient. Ordered an iced mocha with nonfat milk, and a griddled cheese panini, all for takeout. There was no wait to order, but it took a little long till my food and beverage was ready, considering there were no other customers in the cafe while I was there. But it was worth the wait. The iced mocha was smooth and delicious, a nice chocolatey flavor, and the sandwich was super cheesy, three types of cheese (cheddar, smoked gouda, and mozzarella) melted together into a thick gooey layer, and the sourdough had a nice crunch, it was yummy!

Loved the open face croissant and coconut cold foam latte! Service was super quick and the food was fresh and tasty. Very cute shop in a great location. Excited to visit again soon!

Open late! Great for after event eats. Very friendly service, attentive waitress but not intrusive! Casual environment, still able to hold conversations even with the background music and chatter.

The iced blueberry matcha tasted like dirty sink water was used- similar to sanitization solutions scent? It tastes like tap water in the aftertaste. Okay upon first sipping, but the residual was so bizarre- second guessed my opinion until it was too late to ask for a remake. Ridiculous price point, $7! The strawberry is $6. For the blueberry to taste so odd I'm just not sure it's worth it. Food tho? Really good. I've had coffee here before and really enjoyed it, I'm just never touching their matcha again. Service was pretty good, shop is cozy, food again-- really good Also the paper cup is starting to feel weak the longer the drink sits, so I'm not sure this is the best packaging.

I recently tried Lazy Bird. We ordered a banana matcha and a horchata latte. The drinks were very good, good enough for me to return. However, the customer service wasn't great. It felt like I was bothering the cashier by ordering, and the staff wasn't friendly in general

Always long queues here on the weekend for a reason. Great smooth coffee. Today had firebrand's morning bun and tweaked my Pandan latte requesting for less sweetness - really good either way, but just trying to limit added sugar when I can! Love that they have congee when I need the fix and too lazy to make myself. When you get this at a Chinese spot it's typically msg laden. This one tastes super clean and pops with flavor from the chili oil/toppings. Peppy nice folk work here and enjoy seeing the pops of orange throughout. Cute logo too - makes me smile for sure.

Really cute spot that's light and airy with a cozy vibe. The chai latte was very sweet, but when I mentioned it, the barista made a redo without issue. The food looked good, too. Would love to try next time I'm there.

Came here today on a Sunday stormy weather in the Bay Area. I had an hour to kill between church and my hair appt. I was gonna do the usual route of going to Starbucks but thought I'd switch it up. I of course opened my Yelp app to look for a coffee shop and found lazy bird. I initially looking for cafe that has indoor space so I can sit and blog and was surprised when I saw they have congee, say less. When I got there it was not busy, there were a few tables occupied but I found a space on the counter to sit. I ordered a chai latte w oat milk and of course, congee w pork. They asked me if I wanted chili oil and I said yes and made me really excited. A few minutes later they called out my name for my drink - so delicious!! I was worried it'll be too much spice but it's perfect! A few more minutes they served me my congee in this big black bowl I can still see the steam!! I was a bit disappointed bec it was pretty bland even w the chili oil. And I felt like the pork in it didn't belong there. I still ate some of it though then took the rest home to add more things and was still happy to have some congee on a rainy day. Oh they didn't have WiFi. I thought that was odd for being a coffee shop. I'm def going to go back to try their other menu items and other drinks!! The ambience and service were great!
