Came down to LBI for the day to walk the beach & grab a new LBI hoodie from one of the shops and also go up the lighthouse. Food was fantastic! Been coming down to LBI for vacation or day trips since I was a baby (I'm almost 49). But I always had breakfast when I left PA so I never stopped in. Now I know to NOT have breakfast at home. 😎 Great food, excellent service and wonderful vibe. I'll be back. 👏👏

I love a restaurant where I feel like family instead of a customer. First of all, the food is great. My husband had blueberry French toast and the blueberries were bursting with flavor. He also had the fresh squeezed orange juice which tastes amazing . I had a build your own omelette with mushrooms, tomatoes, ham and American cheese. I've had many omelettes over the years, but this one had the perfect balance of flavors and I ate the whole thing! Now onto the the servers. They check on you at appropriate times without being invasive and are super friendly. We also met the owner who was taking orders and serving customers. He stopped and chatted with us and is truly a wonderful person who cares about his business and loves what he does. You can immediately tell whenever someone loves what they do vs. being focused on money and profit. I wish I could give more than 5 ⭐ because that is how much we loved and enjoyed it.

Our first time here, we stopped in for breakfast and we were seated by a very friendly and polite girl. The server was quick to take our order and the food came out very quickly. I got the standard scrabbled egg breakfast and it was very tasty. The eggs and the pork roll was cooked as I asked, the hash browns were a little crunchy for me but the flavor was great. My wife loves them crunchy! My daughter had the kids French toast and she thought they were delicious made with thick bread. We also had the avocado toast on multigrain bread and it was very good! The avocado was bright green! I also love the coffee comes in a carafe so I didn’t have to wait for another cup! This place is a great neighborhood place!!

This was our first visit and I have to say that I can’t wait to come back. I was deeply impressed by how kind and caring the owners and the staff were. They knew practically everyone by name and you felt like you were being welcomed as a member of the family. The food was outstanding. My husband had the gluten-free Belgian waffle, which he said you simply could not tell it was gluten-free. He had the scrapple and scrambled eggs. All were delicious. I couldn’t decide between the pancakes or the French toast, so they accommodated me by offering me two pancakes and one piece of French Toast, which were out of this world. I am very picky about my French toast, and this did not disappoint! I also had two eggs over easy, which were perfectly cooked and hashbrowns, which were crispy and very fresh. I honestly can’t wait to go back. I love this place! I love the people! And I love the food! I wish I could give it 10 stars.❤️❤️❤️🤩🤩🤩

This place is awesome! My husband and I stopped in for a late lunch/early dinner and were greeted by all of their lovely staff. Food is great, and breakfast all day - can’t beat it. Highly recommend trying their fresh squeezed orange juice with vanilla ice cream, to die for! I’ll definitely be returning again with friends and family to try this place out.

Starting off our LBI stay, wanted some breakfast to start the day. We read the reviews before hand, they all looked really good, especially with notes like “the best pancakes ever” My husband and I are foodies, and firstly I can say that the pancakes were good but definitely not the “best pancakes ever” My husband got the biscuits and gravy and he said he enjoyed them, we both got orange juice and it was enjoyable but it was labeled as a large but it was a very small cup. My husbands side bacon came back in crumbles (we didn’t eat it) and they kindly took it off the bill. I ordered the breakfast quesadilla, labeled with peppers onions tomatoes my mouth watered reading the description and I was disappointed to see over cooked eggs, the onions and peppers weren’t even in the slightest sautéed, just hard chopped pieces With no flavor. Overall the environment was clean, the service was kind and attentive nothing against those two things. But the reviews hyping up the food are most definitely people who do not cook or know food, because I was very disappointed in our 60$ breakfast. Again my husband genuinely liked his biscuits and gravy, but also agreed that for 60$ we should’ve gotten a way better breakfast.

Google
I went here for breakfast and I had the buttermilk pancakes. The service was great and friendly. And the OJ was to die for. The pancakes were amazing, some of the best I had ever had. If you are on the island, definitely go try. You won’t be disappointed.

We came in a half an hour before closing and were still welcomed in very warmly! We had a great meal and Kelly, our waitress made some great recommendations when I couldn’t decide what to eat! Great meal and super kind staff.

Yelp
What a cute little beach side breakfast joint! It's quite large on the inside. Easy to get to and walking distance from the beach!! The food is seasoned to perfection. Very very affordable for the quality and taste! Wow! Comes out hot and the eggs are pillow like. Melt in your mouth. Perfect on a cool New Jersey Day! The service here is incredible! So accommodating! I left my cell phone charger at my hotel and my phone died. The server gave me his to use until I was done with my meal!! Also, there is plenty of parking in their designated lot!!

Yelp
Food was okay. Service was good. Establishment was clean. I was sat right away. Served hot coffee. A bit pricey. I was at LBI table yesterday and spent less for my breakfast bowl that came with a fresh made biscuit. This omelet is something I could've made at home, but for convenience purposes came here. Maybe I should have tried the pancakes instead. I wasn't wowed by the flavor of the home fries. The omelet lacked some flavor. Still edible. Think it should've been $10 for the omelet and $2 for the coffee.

Yelp
Omg the blueberry pancakes with chopped strawberries is to die for. So yummy and not too sweet.
google avatar

Mo B.

Yelp
We have been eating here for years. We usually enjoy the food. However, the last time we went the bacon and chicken tenders had clearly been cooked hours before and then reheated. The home fries were not good either. Hopefully it was just a bad day. The veggie omelette is always delicious!

Yelp
Absolutely amazing experience from the food to the service! The belly buster was delicious. Great food at a great restaurant. Would recommend this spot to anyone who wants a cozy breakfast with a diner feel!

Yelp
Great service and super fast at this spot sitting in Ships Bottom, LBI on the main drag. This place is smaller, but has a great breakfast menu with of course pancakes and waffles and french toast, as well as omelettes and egg dishes. The orange juice in here is freshly squeezed by a nearby auto juicer and the staff in here is very friendly and fast on their feet. The food is quite good, great homefries and eggs cooked to order plus delicious pancakes. Prices are decent and I would highly recommend this place. Only thing lacking is parking, but you can park on the street.

Bledi M.

Yelp
Awesome food. Very friendly people. We got a bit of everything. The eggs were great. The omelet was delicious. The pancakes were very tasty.

Yelp
LBI Pancake House IS, and should be your only place you'll hit up for breakfast while in LBI. Nestled within Ship Bottom, the Pancake house has it all. Not just pancakes! Don't believe they take reservations, so be sure to get there early or expect a wait. However, they turn over tables pretty quickly. What we snagged: -Lots of delicious coffee -Belly Buster...(VERY good and very filling) -Breakfast Wrap -French Toast (Kinda dry...) Overall, great experience and amazing wait staff. Friendly, and very accommodating. We'll 100% be back next summer!

Yelp
If I could give this place zero stars, I would. I came here with my family of 5. I put our name down with the host and she told us it would be a 25 min wait. So we waited right out front. There was only one group of 5 ahead of us. More people came to put their name on the waitlist and the host started letting all these groups that came in after us inside. She let in a group of 7, that I know for a fact came in after us. When I addressed her, she said that we just have to wait. It had been well passed 25 mins and she was letting in every group that looked like her (white) even though they came after. We are Latinos for context. This was definitely racially charged. There is no other reason to call groups that came in after us that were the same size or bigger. If you go here and are not white, they will not treat you with respect.

Scott R.

Yelp
Great food, good coffee, fast service, overall a great little place for a quick bite.

Patrizia S.

Yelp
Just giving a huge shout out to the LBI Pancake House for their super friendly staff and delicious food My son and I have a date every year since they opened and it never disappoints! This place gets packed and the wait time can be long, BUT it's just a great little gem. So worth it

Ashley V.

Yelp
The host working today, 5/27/24, is racist. She let every white group of people in before us, even though they put their name down after us and were the same size group or bigger. When we checked to see what was going on, she said we just have to wait. She had no intentions of seating our family. She completely wasted our time. Very upset with how we were treated. Do not recommend going here

John S.

Yelp
Solid pancakes and the owner was super friendly, but I will not be returning. We ordered 2 short stacks of pancakes with one side of bacon (4 strips) and 2 cups of cold watered down black coffee and our total was $45. I've paid the premium to eat on the island before but this felt worse than usual.

Yelp
My mom and I came here before a day on the beach. We arrived on a Monday in August and waited about 20 minutes. The food was good, nothing spectacular. The service was friendly and the prices were reasonable. We bought to-go fresh squeezed orange juice which was the best part!

Kevin H.

Yelp
Food Allergies Welcomed! We are a family with food allergies to peanuts, tree nuts, sesame and shellfish. This diner and staff were excellent, they worked with the chef and even showed us food labels to put us at ease. They could accommodate almost any breakfast on the menu which were all very good. The best items were the chicken and waffles, Jersey wrap, Philly cheesesteak omelet; and chose the potatoes over the fries. Ask to be served by Shannon, she was great with the allergies.

Brad W.

Yelp
My adult kids said the gluten free pancakes were really good. After overhearing us talk amongst ourselves about a small issue with our order, management immediately offered to make another one (even if we wanted it for takeout). I declined because it wasn't a big deal and they still brought some small extra things to the table as an apology. Good food and even better service. We will definitely be back.

Yelp
This is our go to place for bfast. The food is fresh and we've never had anything less than a five star experience. It's family owned and they genuinely care about their customers. The pancakes, waffles, eggs and bacon are made fresh and always delicious! And they have fresh squeezed orange juice!

Laurie B.

Yelp
Huge shout out!! 1st off if you are a celiac-dedicated section of kitchen. Celiac safe and the BEST pancakes you will ever have!!! They are vegan also. So friendly, family oriented place. So glad to have found the establishment. Will be back often!!

Julia M.

Yelp
Great, old-fashioned restaurant with good food and good service. Been coming here for a few years. However, they ran a promotion in April for Autism Acceptance month, and as a person with autism, I did not appreciate my disability being exploited.

Kelly S.

Yelp
This place was incredible! Everything from the vibes to the service to the food/beverages were on point. When we told our server that we had a rough night the night before, they brought us complimentary fresh squeezed orange juice, and it was some of the best OJ I had in my life. They also gave us a free creamsicle drink. We met the owner and told him my boyfriend was vegan, and he went out of his way to make a custom/off menu vegan chocolate chip pancake dish. My boyfriend was floored by how good it was. We will absolutely be back!

Gabrielle W.

Yelp
A casual low key atmosphere with GREAT pancakes! Chill staff who were very attentive. Highly recommend!

Shannon M.

Yelp
I tried the dinner tonight and all the food was amazing! My Cuban was HUGE and super yummy. Amazing family environment with great staff and the fresh squeezed OJ was a must. Check it out next time you're in the area.

Eamon B.

Yelp
These prices are awful. $6.75 for a tiny glass of orange juice?! What is that. The pancakes aren't bad ($13) but still. Fix your pricing.

Karissa J.

Yelp
My family and I had a a delicious dinner at the LBI Pancake House earlier this week! Our server Shannon recommended the mini corndogs and chicken caesar wrap which were AMAZING and the kids enjoyed silver dollar pancakes with chocolate chips. We highly recommend you check them out for dinner!

George S.

Yelp
We had peach pancakes and they were delicious. Fresh peaches in 3 pancakes. We also had pork roll, 2 eggs sunny side up, potatoes and white toast. The potatoes were very tasty and delicious. The egg beaters were tasty as well. The fresh squeezed orange juice is a must. I recently had the eggs Benedict. The Hollandaise was nothing more than yellow water. The eggs were so soft that they fell apart when the we're delivered. The hash browns were very dry.

Lisa S.

Yelp
I had the banana blueberry pancakes with strawberries on top and they were the most buttery moist delicious pancakes I've ever had. thanks for accommodating me so close to the closing time! I also very much appreciated the interior style; would be great to host private events and dinner! I look forward to coming back

I was a little disappointed at the way the scrambled eggs were cooked. They were almost diced up.

Yelp
Tasty. Pretty. Good service. Love the orange mosaic.

Yelp
Went to the LBI pancake house this morning with a friend. We always make one breakfast here every year when we come to LBI. As always, the food was on point and the freshly squeezed OJ could not be beat. What made this visit special was that the new owner Victor came around to greet us and get to know us as patrons. He was incredibly personable and I appreciated the time he took going around the restaurant to meet everyone. Happy to report that new ownership at this beach favorite hotspot comes with friendly faces and all the same food (and OJ) you know and love. Best of luck to the new owners. I will be returning next year!

Anthony D.

Yelp
The Food was so bad it was disgusting I ask the people next to me if they liked there food and they said it was bad too

Amanda D.

Yelp
Not only is the service wonderful, the food is EXCEPTIONAL! Everything is delicious and you simply feel at home here. I can't say enough how great this place is. My family and I come regularly and we love it!

Kimmy C.

Yelp
Literally the best pancakes I've ever gotten, when we got there we were seated and gotten our drinks very quickly. The food came out minutes after ordering and the pancakes I ordered were so smooth and easy to cut into. They were delicious and I love this restaurant
google avatar

Rachel S.

Yelp
Good service and a good meal at this establishment. Owners are very kind and friendly. They plan to hopefully keep the restaurant open for dinner during the summer months with a larger menu. We had breakfast but they told us that we have to return to try their cheesesteak and plan on taking them up on their offer.
google avatar

Yelp
Such a delightful spot for breakfast! Both indoor and outdoor dining. Carafes of coffee for the tables is a welcome plus. Enjoyed the delicious waffle with fresh blueberries. The staff was friendly and the owner stopped at each table to greet everyone and offered free coffee to celebrate Father's Day! Good food, reasonable prices, spotless and a personal touch. Can recommend without hesitation.
google avatar

Nerissa B.

Yelp
The service was most notable and outstanding. In a world where kindness has become a commodity, it is wildly refreshing to meet grounded and lovely people. Come for the waffles...it's a bonus and the coffee ain't too shabby either!

Ralph T.

Yelp
Great place for breakfast and more! The service was above excellent (if that's possible). A must visit, the pancakes were phenomenal!
google avatar

Alexander J.

Yelp
2020 Update: Overall, still pretty good No wait. Coffee was above average for sure. The food was great as usual. However, outdoor seating area isnt ideal and the service took FOREVER this time around. 10 minutes to get coffee!? Seriously!? Still recommend for sure!
google avatar

Vivian R.

Yelp
The blueberry pancakes are to die for! I get them every time I come and I'm never disappointed. The wait is never that long and the staff is always friendly. They also have great cold brew and fresh squeezed orange juice!
google avatar

Lorraine M.

Yelp
We come here every day for breakfast for the week we spend on LBI. The food is fresh and amazing the staff is friendly and courteous and the owners are gracious. Highly recommend!
google avatar

Peggie Z.

Yelp
Walked right in and sat down-Food was delicious...staff is extremely friendly...prices good Victor checked on us we had very light conversation Will absolutely br returning

Sam J.

Yelp
Have been coming here sense I was 5 I am 13 now and the food gets better every time! Can't recommend more.

Tamara V.

Yelp
Service was great but the food was really bad. Their scrambled eggs tasted like paper. Wouldn't go back.
google avatar

Kym B.

Yelp
Stopped in for breakfast on the way out of town! Really good pancakes and eggs! Staff was pleasant!
google avatar

Joyce Z.

Yelp
I enjoyed my breakfast of Peach pancakes, freshly squeezed OJ (even found a seed :-) ), bacon, and Coffee. They also offer REAL maple syrup! The staff were friendly and efficient. The establishment is clean. There is even a train that runs on an elevated track for kids of all ages to watch.
google avatar

Alyssa F.

Yelp
The pancakes were raw, not cooked enough at all so we asked if they could make more and of course they said yes and took the raw ones back but the new pancakes were also raw and burnt on one side. The french toast was raw as well in the middle and the eggs were undercooked. Would not recommend.

Lisa V.

Yelp
We're from up north and this is one of the best breakfast place down here. This is a family owned business, the owners also the chef and came out of the kitchen to go up to each and every table greeting them. The food was so fresh and delicious. Such a nice atmosphere I'll be back !

Pao P.

Yelp
Cash only at location but they do offer online ordering for pick up and they also have outdoor dining. The wife got their Belgium waffle with a side of sausage. I got the breakfast sandwich on a bagel with two over easy eggs and sausage with a side of bacon. The breakfast sandwich was great and it came with seasoned home fries. A little pricy but good place to order from.
google avatar

Maria P.

Yelp
Breakfast was delicious! The pancakes with peaches were amazing!! Outside seating was roomy and shady! A perfect breakfast!
google avatar

Yelp
Avoid. Mismanaged and terrible service. Waited 48 minutes to place our order. Asked the host to see our waitress and was ignored. Tried to call our waitress over and she waved us off while taking the two tables who sat after us order. Save yourself and go to the Sandbox Cafe -- the sizzler is amazing!
