Located in the Marais this small boutique hotel is the first floor of a small apartment building. The rooms are small but very comfortable with a good firm bed and great bathroom, especially the shower. The breakfast is fresh and good. The staff is friendly and helpful. The location is good for getting around although the Marais is getting more and more crowded and less interesting as it becomes increasingly upscale. The biggest problem is that the staircase to the hotel (on a European first floor with is actually the second floor) is narrow and winding and getting a medium large suitcase up the stairs is not easy.

small hotel/apartment in Marais. very clean, with friendly and accommodating staff. Convenient to walk to most sights and close access to Gare de Lyon station (1 metro stop). Metro (M1) is less than 5 minutes away. Everything is accessible.

We had an amazing stay, this place is so cute and the location can’t be beat. I love that it is tucked away off the beaten path with a private entrance. The room was very spacious and very comfortable. The front desk staff was very friendly and the small kitchen with water, tea and snacks was an added bonus! This is my new favorite place to stay in Paris!

At first, the hotel cannot be found-nothing on the door. Must have walked passed it back and forth 5 times before i realized that it is. Then there’s no way to enter, and the lights are out. I tried contacting them unlike what they say in their response but no one answered. After 30 minutes waiting outside in the street where it’s cold, i ended up giving up and searching for another place to stay for the night. It’s great that they’re so responsive on google reviews, but could care less to respond to actual customers trying to check in

We were there for 2 nights and this was the perfect place to stay! easy to get around via metro or walking, very close to Notre Dame, and a ton of great places to eat and drink. **Keep in mind that this is a huge city and area with a lot of nightlife, so you will hear some street sounds even with the windows closed. Also, there was a slight smell from time to time coming from the shower drain, but you can close off the shower Door. Nither of these things impacted our stay though. More importantly the Hosts were great! So helpful and responsive. They stock the shared kitchen with coffees and have a few tables where you can have a small sit down breakfast (with table service I think?) Great time! We will be back!

Great experience at 1er Etage Marais. Lovely room with a simple breakfast and coffee set-up available each morning. Communication with management was excellent, everyone on-sight was friendly and helpful. Location is very close to Pompidou, and in a part of Marais with plenty of walkable options for shopping, food, nightclubs, or anything else. A/C worked well. Our room faced the street, but noise was not an issue for us - it quieted down by 10-11pm.

Charming comfortable rooms in an apartment in the heart of le Marais. Our room was lovely and cosy. There's use of a kitchen for water, coffee machine etc and the breakfasts are delicious served by lovely quiet polite staff. It's a great model halfway between hotel and bnb which works very well. Very Parisian feel We will be returning.
