Been looking forward to going here since seeing it on chefs nightout many moons ago. And wow it met our high expectations. Absolutely love the no reservation rule/walk ins only. The food and wine blew our taste buds away. Got the best seats in the house, right on the bench and it made our night and perhaps our trip. The whole team were very friendly and accommodating, we felt very welcome (exceptional hospitality).

Every dish served was impeccable. I can’t even choose which I liked best but if I have to, I must say the pork chop was so perfectly grilled, served with the most amazing ssamjang sauce ever. The fish dish was delicious too. The entrees were scrumptious too. On top of good food, great wine selection as well. And best of all, we got the best seats in the house - watching the chefs in action! Would definitely revisit this place when I’m in Brussels again!

Definitely one of my new favorite spots in the Saint-Gilles neighborhood. A short but original menu with veggie, fish, and meat options. It's hard not to order the whole menu! The staff was super friendly and attentive. A charming wine bar with an excellent selection of wines! A must-goooo!

Wow, this place was amazing! The food was phenomenal and they also have a nice selection of drinks. It's very obvious the team is passionate about their craft-- everything was well curated and so creative. I love that they are walk-in only and the price is so reasonable. Highly recommend!!

Every week there's a new menu and the dishes are all delicious and prepared with so much attention for every little detail. We sat very close to the open kitchen which made our dinner experience even cooler!

This place was recommended by several locals. I love open kitchens, and sitting at the bar to watch the choreographed culinary chaos unfold in front of me. It's amazing how easy they make it look, but it surely helps by keeping a short menu, with 2 entrées, 3 mains and two desserts. I had the grilled onions and the fish, everything was just perfect, in both balance and flavor. The sauces in both dishes were amazing. The staff was fun, friendly and had the perfect wine with every dish. Ambiance is upscale but definitely not uptight, just as good for date night or just a going out with friends. Prices were good for the quality of the food. Another hidden jem in St-Gilles.

A great fine dining restaurant with a great chef. The food was very delicious and full of art! They don't have a set menu, they change it every day. Which is nice. But the service was slow and full of errors, which unfortunately robbed the experience for us.

A magnificent experience. The dinner menu was awesome, we sat at a big table inside the restaurant, with an open view kitchen across the other side, so we got to see all the preparation details. The menu is different occasionally and there are limited options, yet very fulfilling and satisfactory. The prices are reasonably fair considering the quality of the food and the general experience. Extensive wine list as well. Keep in mind there are no reservations, so you have to be patient to get seated. The staff was very friendly and we had good communication in English. Highly recommended for anyone who wants a different dining experience, away from the busy city center environment.

Yelp
One of the best quality to price ratios in Bruxelles. High end gastronomy , locally sourced, all done right in front of you at the counter- it's hard to beat this lovely spot.

Yelp
What a fantastic little place. The South African-born chef has (in my opinion) hit upon the perfect formula for a good restaurant in this era: small-scale, simple (2 starters, 2 plats, 2 desserts), casual, warm, and well executed. We got a duck salad, some perfect hummus, and some hanger steak. I got a Beerstorming Nordic Hopster in the bottle, very similar to an American IPA. Lunch was about 50 EUR for two.

Yelp
The whole experience was glorious start to finish. Walked in out of a rainy autumn day into a small, warm, inviting room where we were greeted by the hostess and the chef (a young married couple) while he was cooking at the open kitchen/bar. 2 starter options, 3 main options, 2 dessert options which change week to week. My boyfriend and I shared the steak tartare, then he got the duck on carrot purée and I got the fish on lentils, then we shared the creme on glace. The chef overheard me tell my boyfriend that I wish I could just try the coffee ice cream, which was featured in the other dessert option, and he served us a small scoop on the house. The portions were plenty but not ridiculous. It was hearty like comfort food but the flavors were unique and subtle. Absolutely delicious. It's probably useful to Know that if you want to sit in the dining room you should make a reservation. But we got in and sat at the bar with no wait, which we preferred anyway. Lastly, the chef chatted with us the whole time as we watched him lovingly plate each dish. At the end he had us hang around so that he could write down some suggestions for food at our next stop on our journey. We felt like we'd hit the jackpot by the time we'd left.

Yelp
Listen to me. If you don't come here you are simply missing out on possibly the best meal you could have in all of Brussels. Yelp steered me here and I couldn't be more thankful. Chef Richard and his wonderful love Matilda are the most welcoming owners you could want. I don't know where to start. The menu as previously described is small but perfect. Everything was fresh. Nothing prepped days in advance. Chef Richard listened to my complements while sitting at the bar in the kitchen, and instead of serving me the quail I initially ordered, asked if I would like to try a couple small plates. How could I ever possibly say no?! I started off with a raw salmon app laced with a Thai inspired citrus dressing and topped with basil and pieces of citron. Wow Then the mains included a merlu fish with sweet potato puree. The pan seared crust was divine without masking the tastes beneath. This was followed by a pan roasted thigh of quail with a au jus reduction and perfectly prepared mashed potatoes. This was without a doubt the best quail I've ever had. I ended with a pineapple flambé accompanied with a homemade vanilla glacé and pan syrup. Divine I finished with an espresso...perfect I'm not an over the top reviewer. If it's bad or mediocre I will tell you. So my only down play of the night was a 2012 Italian Syrah that has had better days. Did that ruin anything...no. Just an observation. Again, do yourself the justice of dining with Chef Richard and Matilda!

Yelp
We had a wonderful meal. We felt welcome from the start. Everything was thoughtfully prepared with original and interesting flavors incorporating seasonal ingredients. Great selection of wines as well.

Yelp
We ate one of every thing from the menu. It was absolutely phenomenal! Oh and we enjoyed 2 bottles of red wine too and ended up spending 3 hours here. The server was so nice and spoke great English. It was probably my favorite meal on our two week Europe trip

Yelp
You can trust all prior reviews. Its delicious, the place is lovely, and the staff is great (more on that below). It's slow food, not because slow food is a thing, but because there's one cook making it all happen right before your eyes. Both the cook and the waitress are super friendly. What a refreshing little place. Big kudos to these two!

Yelp
My Fiance and I have been in the bar and restaurant industry for several years and the bar has been set pretty high by places we have worked and awesome people we have met imbibing around the world. We have been in Europe for a little over a month, looking for the best places we can find to get ideas to bring back home with us. We found this place, conveniently, around the corner from our Air B&B and made reservations. They responded quickly and got us in the next day (today). We were immediately greeted with smiling faces and were taken by the whole vibe of the place. The quaint, intimate setting was made for a meal to share with loved ones or perfect for date night. It was well lit, the music was prefect, and the service was fantastic. Bravo! Chef R, ill leave his name out of it, was on point tonight. Started out with a shiitake mushroom dumpling dish, awesome. I had a duck, fig, mustard, smoke beet root and sweet potato dish, top notch. My lady enjoyed a fish, potato, and carrot dish, it was one of the best fish meals I've ever had. We ended with a fresh lemon curd, and meringue dessert. It was a great way to cleanse the palate, not to mention the curd was perfect in texture and intense with lemon flavor. Blown away by the meal, and watching it all get prepared in front of you was a treat. Chef R was crazy friendly and full of chatter. Five stars across the board.

Yelp
I went there for diner with my boyfriend and everything was perfect! We were at the bar in front of the kitchen and it was captivating and exciting to watch before receiving the dishes. Do not hesitate and do not forget to book in advance to have a table. Everything is well done and delicious. Maybe a bit pricey but it is worth the money.

Yelp
Amazing place! Intimate and full of energy and ambience. Innovative food inspired by many countries and excellent service. Highly recommend the duck and the fish but would skip the dessert. The chef is a master!

Yelp
Absolutely excellent. Wonderful food. Great service. And you can watch the chef create from only a few feet away as you dine. Highly recommend.

Yelp
What a memorable evening! This is such a great restaurant with a relaxed vibe. Modern decor and a large sharing island/table where the talented chef prepares plates in front of you! A small but excellent fresh menu that changes weekly. All dishes are made to perfection. I didn't want my meal to end.... I immediately booked for another night. The chef and team are extremely welcoming. So close to the Horta metro, jump off and go try Le 203!!!

Yelp
Good service and excellent food and value. We had 2 mains and a starter for less than 40 euro. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. The restaurant is tiny, so we were lucky to get seated, but would make reservations in the future.
