My husband and I visited for 3 nights on the last leg of our first trip to Italy. We were overwhelmed with the beauty of the property - everywhere appeared like an entrance to a secret garden. And the views - wow! We enjoyed the beach club, pool, breakfast, meals at both restaurants (do not skip La Serra for dinner!!) as well as the complimentary shuttle to town. The staff was accommodating and welcoming. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

We found Le Agavi hotel to be unique, the layout set in the hillside meant that every room and balcony is totally different and we loved this. The reception is lovely and bright and very welcoming. We had an executive room and it had a lovely large sitting area and seperate bedroom and bathroom. We had a gorgeous balcony with sun beds and table and chairs with an amazing view. We were located in the main part of the hotel with easy access to the pool and to the top of the hotel for bus transfer. The room was well cleaned everyday by friendly and polite staff. We found the hotel staff friendly and welcoming overall. The hotel offered a free hourly bus shuttle into Positano with a short walk thereafter. It worked well. They also offer a boat taxi for €25 each way. We didn’t use this. However we treated ourselves to the hotel’s sunset cruise with Joanni and this was delightful. The hotel’s beach was fantastic, it had very comfortable sunbeds and buzzer service for drinks or any requests. The delightful Ramesso restaurant was located at the beach and we had some gorgeous lunch and dinners. The breakfast was delightful sitting looking out at an amazing view with gorgeous breakfast food. Delicious pastries and cakes. We also used the pool which was lovely and warm and also had great service. All towels were provided at the pool and beach. The room also had towels for the sun loungers and robes, slippers, flips flips and beach bag (great touch). The hotel was beautifully quiet and peaceful being located out of the centre, we appreciated this. ||We loved Positano for its beauty and charm. However it was much more on the pricey side of being in the Amalfi coast and we were advised that Sorrento is more reasonable and a good base to explore from. However this was a luxurious treat for us and we adored every minute. We would definitely go back to the Hotel and Positano. Happy days!

Funicular broken, had to do 8 flights of stairs outside in the rain. Shower blocked and overflowing even after repairs two days in a row. Ceiling was leaking because of the rain so the maintenance workers were making loud construction noise all day. Included breakfast is fake powder-like scrambled eggs, no free omelettes, benedictines, etc. The view, the location, the private beach front are really nice. My wife and I stayed three nights in September in a "supposedly deluxe room with large terrace", the hotel quality, the rooms and service is 3-Star at best, nowhere close to a 5-star.

I don’t usually write reviews — it takes time, which I rarely have. But I’m making an exception for Le Agavi because they’ve earned it.||From the moment we arrived, the experience was outstanding. The location is perched above Positano, away from the crowded downtown. The setting is peaceful and private, giving you the beauty of the Amalfi Coast without the chaos. At the same time, it’s easy to reach town thanks to the hotel’s complimentary hourly shuttle service, which gives you the best of both worlds — seclusion when you want it, and quick access when you don’t.||The views are simply breathtaking. The hotel feels like it’s floating above the coast, with amazing views of the Mediterranean and Positano’s hillside. Morning coffee on the terrace became a ritual for me, and evenings at sunset were transformational at that tme of day. ||The staff is truly exceptional. Ultra-friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely attentive, they go out of their way to make you feel cared for. Whether it was something for the room, restaurant reservations, tour suggestions, or small details we didn’t even think to ask for, they handled it with warmth and efficiency.||The layout of the hotel deserves mention. Built into the cliffs, every terrace, pathway, and level maximizes the views, so you’re constantly connected to the sea and hillside. Getting around by funicular adds to the charm — it’s unusual at first, but easy to navigate once you get the rhythm, and it makes the property feel like part of the landscape itself.||The food was excellent all around, especially the breakfast buffet were there was a guitarist and mandolin player to complete the experience ( see pic)||A few minor criticisms: coffee at the breakfast buffet really shouldn’t come with an extra charge. Niether should an omelette if you want one. the water taxi to central Positano is €25 for a five-minute ride, which feels steep and should be included ( I would factor it nto the room rate). During peak hours, the van shuttle to town fills quickly — running it more frequently ( every 1/2 hour) would be an improvement on the service.||In summary, I can't reccomend Le Agavi enough. So much so we will make it an anuual family tradition!||Ciao! Enjoy!

We had an amazing stay at Le Agavi Hotel. The room was spacious, spotless, and very comfortable. The views were incredible over Positano. All of the staff were fantastic—friendly, helpful, and genuinely attentive, with the beach club team making every moment special. We dined in all of the restaurants—the beach club, the pool, and the main restaurant—and every meal was excellent. A truly memorable stay, and we can’t wait to return!

Highly recommend a stay at Le Agavi. Stunning views, great rooms and amenities and an excellent location. ||The hotel feels secluded and private but is only a short (complimentary) shuttle or private water taxi trip away from the bustling streets and shopping of Positano. Highly recommend a stay here if you are visiting Positano.

This hotel offers some of the best views in Positano. The location is also ideal - just far enough outside the craziness of Positano town but within a 10 minute ride of anywhere you want to be. The hotel’s hourly shuttle makes this very easy.||There are not many hotels that offer the benefits/views of being high up on the cliff AND a beach club on the same property. The hotel is set on the side of a cliff so you need to take the private funicular to get from the lobby/breakfast area to the rooms, pool, and other areas. The elevator from the bottom of the funicular to the beach club is a bit scary so my wife and I chose to take the outdoor steps, which was a significant workout. But most guests and staff seem to have no problem with the elevator.||Highlights:|- views|- location|- beach club|- staff: incredibly accommodating and helpful |- shuttle to town and water taxi (shuttle if free while water taxi is 25 euros each way)|- we did not eat at either hotel restaurant but other guests raved about them|- daily hotel breakfast was good; baked goods and pastries were amazing ||What could have been better:|- our room was a bit small|- daily stair and hill climb can be a lot for some, although this is really unavoidable in Positano

Absolutely mind blowing place to stay - the views were incredible, the service was impeccable. It felt like we were in paradise from the moment we got up each morning. The breakfast was so delicious and the service was amazing (you got sat down and had a coffee in your hand within a minute), with the most special views of Positano and live music. The pool side was very relaxing with Giuseppe being so friendly and helpful. The beach area was so lovely with a tasty restaurant with such lovely atmosphere. The boat trips to town were very quick to organise and offered amazing views. Reception was so helpful with a 24/7 whatsapp service for all the questions. Eating at La Serra as part of our honeymoon deal was so great - delicious and such great service!! The couples massage and executive use of the spa was mind blowing...!! The only negatives were the fact that the rooms were not particularly sound proof, although we cant complain as our neighbours were quiet. Generally, we cant have asked for more and would definitely recommend this place! I dont think we'll ever stay at a place this beautiful again as it was unbeatable.
