"Spas and hammams in Marrakesh Going to the hamman, or public bath-house is an essential part of the Marrakesh experience. After being scrubbed down in the steam room, you’ll never have felt as clean as you like. Upscale hammans now offer the best treatments to entice the spa tourist crowd, with many riads have their own in-house hammam for guests. Choose from a menu of different options, with Moroccan ghassoul (mineral clays mixed with herbs and petals), gommage (scrubs), body wraps and most types of massage on offer. Noted hammams with the full spa experience include Le Bain Bleu and Sultana Spa – but check with your accommodation as to what they offer before booking. By AFAR Traveler , AFAR Local Expert"

From the moment I checked in to the time I was finished enjoying my tea in the relaxation room, this experience was wonderful! Nora did an exceptional job with my massage as well. Cannot recommend this establishment enough and I cannot wait to visit again! Thank you!

My wife and I had the Hammam and massage with lunch. Book early. We were unable to have all the treatments we wanted as they were full. Also we didn’t leave enough time for lunch. On reflection we should have had the treatments first. We really enjoyed our experience. We were together for the whole time (apart from in the changing rooms). We would recommend bikini bottoms and swimsuits. The massage and scrub were both excellent. Highly recommended.

Horrible hammam and massage experience Two days ago we went to make a reservation at Le Bain Bleu. We talked to the very friendly Safa and we decided to go for a hammam and a stimulating massage. Today we came with high expectations to enjoy a very relaxing time at the spa. However we got very disappointed during our visit. Safa was there again and she helped us with a smile. When we arrived at the Spa downstairs everything looked professional and very beautiful. We changed clothes and we got ready for our hammam experience. We got picked up by one of the workers who unfortunately didnt speak English. We had to hang our bathrobe and lay down in the nice hammam area. The woman seemed a bit grumpy and annoyed and she was not friendly at all. We got splashed with water and rubbed in very fast. Then she disappeared without saying anything. After 10 minutes or so we started talking to eachother about everything. And after at least 10 minutes more still no one came to us. Therefore we went looking for personal because we had no idea what was going on or what we had to expect. Two other employees come to finished our hammam. They spoke a little English, splashed us again. Scrubbed like for 20 seconds and left us again. The two employees spoke in there native tongue to eachother while they were with us. After there short visit they also went away for 10 minutes minimum. We were probably in the hammam for about 40 minutes or more and there was no employee in our room for 35 minutes. The two woman then came back and we finished the Hammam with showering ourselves. Then we went upstairs for the massage. We were glad that we got other employees so we tried to reset our mindset and focus on a better second part. Unfortunately the two woman who gave the massage were not very good. They did not really know how to give a massage in a professional way. Again we were disappointed by the lack of quality of this establishment. After our terrible experience we spoke to Safa and she told us that you would contact us in the coming days. We wanted to let you know our experience via email first. As a solution we expect that we get our money back because it ruined our precious time in Marrakech + plus the time to write a review / complaint. We wish to hear from you soon and we hope you can provide to the right solution. *We were told that the manager would contact us within two days. We called them twice after two days and nothing happend. Therefore we place this review now. We feel like we have been robbed of €171 euro's. We suggest you find a different spa, because some of the employees have no clue of what they are doing.

I booked the relaxing hammam & massage combination. It was wonderful and just what I needed after many weeks of travelling! Unfortunately I did not get the name of the woman who did my hammam but she was great. And Sofia, who did my massage, was wonderful - thank you, Sofia, for a truly relaxing and lovely experience! I left the spa feeling very blissed out and tranquil :)

How disappointing. My expectations were rather high. Lovely decor, great atmosphere from the moment you step inside the check in area. The treatment I got was the Beldi Signature le Bain Bleu Hammam. 55 minutes for 350 MAD. I booked the day of, that's the only treatment I could get and I was excited. Sadly the treatment was subpar. The woman poured water on me, soaped me up, rinsed, put some black soap over my body (it all took about 5 minutes), and then she left, not just for the planned 10 minutes (there is an actual document in the room that describes the process and the times when you're left alone on the warm stones (no steam btw, even though I did a hammam elsewhere the previous week and spent 15 min in steam as intro to the treatment so check before booking), but she left me at first for almost 20 minutes. She came back, washed my body again with a special glove, rinsed and left me again for about 15+ minutes. For a 55 minute treatment, I think she was in the room for a maximum of 15 minutes. Doing everything fast (foot scrub, about 10 seconds) and probably working on other customers when she was disappearing (I could hear other voices in the room next door). It is nice to be washed and to leave clean from head to toe, but a 55 minute treatment should not have the person just wait lying on a warm plaque for the majority of the time. I definitely won't go back, nor do I recommend the place.

I didn't have a treatment here (only because I hadn't found it in time and had already had a hammam and massage) but I can say nothing but wonderful things about this haven of peace. I stumbled upon it by chance whilst trying to escape the chaos and heat of the Medina and it became my regular place to calm both in the day and evening. This staff were kind, attentive but discreet. Easily a 5* if not more!
