Awful. The hotel had been sold since our booking and we had not been told so when we turned up it was a building site and we were walked to a nearby B&B to stay. We had paid for a suite with jacuzzi and were taken next door to a tired B&B room and expected to pay the same!! Thankfully we booked in nearby at the Belmont which was over half the price and wonderful. Needless to say the owners are not getting back in contact with me so unsure if I am getting a refund or not. Don’t stay here!!

Currently staying here. Very disappointing. Apparently the owner is trying to sell the place - signs are obvious. Disregard all the pretentious French style nonsense - doesn’t apply. Pathetic offering for breakfast. Told at checkin that breakfast was continental style. Had to go around to Woolworths this morning to buy some pastries. Room in the upper level is like a sauna in this weather. Owner, sell up or close down if you’re not interested in properly hosting guests. Totally out of character for Franschoek accommodation.

Delightful guest house. Sorry we had just the one night to spend here. Breakfast was the best we had in the three weeks we toured south Africa. Staff were welcoming and sterling. They should make the whole of property nonsmoking as smokers sit outside on the verandah and smoke just wafts back into other guests rooms.

Pretty venue, we were in room 8 right next to Woolworths receivables, early morning delivery noises, uncomfortable bed, very basic breakfast and room service not up to scratch. The staff are amazing but value for money? I think not😞

German guests of mine had a pair of shoes and gloves stolen off their motorbike, and no one wants to do anything about it. Security guards are useless and my clients have had no feedback from the Guesthouse. in Addition - Its Incredible bad that's the website phone number diverts to some rude woman who doesn't work there anymore, and the guesthouse haven't changed their number on Google or on their website. Its extremely frustrating that you cant get hold of anybody. As a tour operator I WILL NEVER BOOK HERE AGAIN !

Quite expensive but the room is stunning and massive with your own lounge and bar separate from the bedroom, this is like a small apartment with a massive patio and jacuzzi. Sevice is good, The manager even arranged to use a generator to blow dry hair when load shedding hit.

Average room and facilities. No generator/no electricity in rooms during load shedding. Breakfast offering could be improved. Parking is not secure. Central location.

You will not be disappointed. Location perfect for a 5min max walk to local restaurants. Very well appointed and good value compared with other local Guest Houses. Will not hesitate to stay again when next in Francshoek.
