'Le Beau' Croissanterie

Le Beau is easily home to some of the best pastries I’ve ever had in Toronto. While the space is a bit on the smaller side with limited seating, the staff are incredibly welcoming and friendly, which makes the whole experience feel very personal. They have an impressive variety of croissants ranging from classic to sweet, but my absolute go-to is their lemon sugar-coated Madeleines—they are perfectly executed. The yuzu cream puff is another standout favorite for its bright, refreshing flavor. To wash it all down, they offer a great assortment of coffee and tea; specifically, the sesame latte with oat milk is "silly smooth" and a must-try. If you’re looking to get some work done, there are tables available, but just a heads-up that there are no power ports, so make sure your devices are charged before you head in!

The puff pastry and madeleine I got were light, not too sweet. The black sesame latte was creamy and rich. The shop is quite small inside with only a few small tables. I regret not getting the croissant and definitely want to get it next time.

This is my all time favourite for croissants and now for baguettes. I believe the owner trained in France and brings the best to the table. There’s so much more than croissants in this shop, but I stick to the core. Can’t have enough of these croissants and will continue to highly recommend to all French pastry lovers.

This place is a hidden gem in the Regent Park area. The cortado was absolutely spot on and paired amazingly with their apple-filled pastry (I can’t recall the exact name, but it tasted like heaven). Definitely worth a visit if you're into exploring different croissant flavors—they have a bunch of varieties to try. Definitely a must-try spot!

I’ve been really into croissant sandwiches lately, so I searched around and found this place. They had two kinds of sandwiches, and we went with the Brie, turkey, and pear — it was delicious! I loved that it wasn’t drenched in sauce, and I honestly didn’t know Brie and turkey could pair so well together. We also tried the chocolate croissant, and it was one of the least greasy, most beautifully layered croissants I’ve had. Such a nice surprise! For coffee, I ordered a cortado — it was a bit on the lighter side, not the richer, milk-light version I usually expect, but still enjoyable. Staff were reasonably friendly, and there’s no Wi-Fi here. All in all, it’s definitely a place I’d like to come back to.

Had the Yuzu Pistachio croissant and an Americano and it might be the best croissant I’ve had in Toronto. Perfectly flaky, buttery, and full of flavor. The space is bright with big windows and cozy vibes. The sandwiches looked yummy, so I’ll try one next time. Some pastries weren’t available later in the day, so try not to go too late.

This tiny place has some of the best croissants I’ve ever had. They have variety of different baked goods, their coffee and hot chocolate are good too. Definitely give it a try.

My absolute favourite croissant place in Toronto. Some of the best, fresh and flavourful flaky croissants are made and served here. They have a bunch of savoury croissants too but my favourite are the sweet ones. The staff are very accommodating and always attend customers with a smile no matter how crowded the place is. There are a few tables set up inside but they also have a cute patio perfect for people watching in the summer.

Was looking for a cafe nearby and remembered this was on my to go list of cafes. There were so many different choices of pastries and baked goods to choose from, I had a hard time trying to choose which croissant to eat. They also have a range of drinks to choose from. I ended up choosing the Yuzu Pistachio Croissant. The croissant was large and the yuzu was very tarte. I was under the misconception that it was a blend of yuzu and pistachio cream but it only had pistachio bits on top. For around $7, I would say it is a reasonable price. The service was fast and the ambiance was nice though the cafe had very limited siting. I would definitely be back to try the other flavours!

4.5 Absolutely love Le Beau! Their croissants are definitely one of the best in Toronto. I've been here numerous times and find myself coming back again and again.

Le Beau is a nice bakery and cafe. Le Beau has a few tables and seats inside to eat and drink. There are different kinds of croissants, pastries, sandwiches, coffee and tea. They have Hojicha latte. They have Asian fusion type menus. Croissants and pastries expensive, but they are big. It makes prices reasonable. When I went there, there was a long line and the place was very crowded with young people.

Ordered for to go. The yuzu croissant is soft and airy, great texture. The yuzu filling was not too sweet, it paired well with the croissant. I really enjoyed the tangy flavour, it was the right amount of sourness to sweetness ratio. The croissant was super flaky but didn't get too much of the pistachio. They have many flavours to choose from, lots of options!

Went to the location near the Distillery. We had the raspberry croissant and the mango croissant. They were delicious. The raspberry was more tart which I liked better than the mango one. The drinks were good as well but overall this was a very expensive snack.

I read about this place a while back that it was known for their croissants. So I bookmarked it for a future visit. Finally, I had a chance to visit here when I was around the neighborhood. I was so excited to try their croissants! As soon as I entered, the buttery smell made my nose tickle with excitement (yum!). There were two staff behind the baked goods and they warmly welcomed me. The decor was simple yet modern- it was black and white with modern lighting fixtures to create an open vibe. There were a few tables, where people up to six could sit and eat. There were so many variety of croissants that I had a difficult time picking. In the end, I chose two items- a Mango and Passionfruit Croissant and a Tiramisu Danish. Both were so delicious! The Mango and Passionfruit Croissant was flaky on the outside and soft on the inside, with the sweet filling inside. The Tiramisu Danish had the same texture as the croissant, with more filling on the outside. Quality baked goods, friendly staff and a clean space, check it out!

If you like a croissant with filling, Le Beau is a fantastic place to go. I wouldn't go out of my way for their butter croissant though. They have a variety of flavours to choose from, and some of the flavours are rotational. The selection was full even when I went an hour or so after opening, and the line was short and moved quickly. There are a few tables on the inside as well if you'd like to enjoy the food right away. The interior has tall ceilings and some nice decor on one of the walls as well. I've been here a few times before, and I would definitely return to try some more of their fillings! I've enjoyed the raspberry croissant before, and have also had their apple pie croissant. Both were tasty!

Limited seating but plenty of crossiants. Was even able to get some pastries still warm. The crossiants are worth it. It's not an Asian place but they have some Asian inspired flavors. I got a butterscotch latte that was mild in coffee flavor and balanced well. The crossiants are flakier/harder, and very filling. You could probably go with 2 max, and I do recommend going basic or trying a savory one for something more filling. Ordering is fast, sort of like going down the line. Small tables with limited seating, busy in the morning and limited hours so more grab and go.

Great croissants! We got the affogato hazelnut and pistachio croissants. The flavour of the fillings were exactly as described. I also thought the filling ratio was perfect. They have so many flavours - cannot wait to try them all and the drinks as well. It's a small restaurant but there were still plenty of seats when we went on a Sunday afternoon.

Extemely disappointed by the croissants here. I tried 4 different types - the almond, plain, Dulce de leche, and pistachio cream. The plain croissant smells of egg wash. The others had so little filling for the almost $7 you pay for each one. In my opinion, it's not worth it. I'd rather go to Maman or Little Pebble.

This is definitely my favourite bakery for croissants in this city! They are so innovative with their flavours and the forms of their products. Yesterday I stopped by wanting to try their new strawberry and cream NY roll, but unfortunately it was sold out already. I was overwhelmed by their display of goods where everything looks so good and finally decided to try their chocolate espresso scroll (my first scroll ever here). It was so delicious and the perfect treat! It's got a light chocolatey flavour and goes so well with the espresso flavour. I enjoyed it with their earl grey tea. I enjoyed every bite of it. Even though I go back to them time after time, they always have something new and always full of surprises!

Such a cute spot to grab a quick coffee and bite. They offer a simple selection of drinks to choose from along with a great variety of croissants. I opted for the black sesame latte and the pistachio cream croissant and it did not disappoint! The pastry's texture was so light and so was the cream. The flavor was lightly sweet and balanced well with the buttery flavors of the croissant itself. The cafe is fairly small with maybe a few tables so if you plan on sitting inside make sure to check the availability. The service was also great! The staff were nice and the barista made the drinks so quickly!

Excellent pastries. The croissants are flaky and buttery. I'd recommend coming early before they sell out.

I love almond croissants, but usually every other croissant is just OK. Le beau absolutely smashes every croissant out of the water and makes a non-croissanter (yes I'm making up words) obsessed. Worth the trek to the east side! Highly recommend!

Yelp Review 2023 #27: If you enjoy flaky, light pastries and you happen to be in Toronto, Le Beau is the place to be. This small croissanterie has savory and sweet croissant-based treats as well as coffee and tea. They have brioche, kouign amann, chaussons (the flakier cousin of empanada), cruffin, and danishes. They also have Paris Brest, cookies, and chocolate bars. Honestly, they have so many items I wanted to try but I had to have extra self-control. They have Nutella, chocolate, Roche, pistachio cream, salted caramel, mango-banana-passionfruit, and chestnut. I wanted all the croissants and the cruffins!!! But I made my final selections: pistachio cream croissant, chestnut croissant, and a Cuban danish - washed down with a butterscotch latte, and a matcha latte. Pistachio Cream Croissant: I truly enjoyed this. The croissant itself was perfect. Flaky, lightly crunchy exterior and it gets softer towards the center where the pistachio cream is hiding. The pistachio cream was definitely pleasant. 5/5 Chestnut Croissant: This croissant has unwelcome raspberry in it which was not described on the menu. The raspberry flavor was overpowering the flavor of chestnut. 3/5 Cuban Danish There were a few other savory danish options but I chose this because it was the most promising in terms of flavor and texture. It has ham, cheese, a hint of mustard, and pickles - you get salty, tart, a tad sweet, and a tad spicy. I was not wrong. 4/5 They only have a few small tables so, the best thing to do is grab a few croissants to-go. This spot is really tiny. What I really appreciate about this place is the service. They're super nice. I was trying to get rid of my Canadian coins because it was getting heavy. They let me pay with my coins (all $8 worth) and a few bills.

In May 2025, I applied for a part-time barista position at Le Beau Lab. I was excited to join a place I previously enjoyed as a customer for their croissants. After a phone call with Alla, who scheduled a second interview to assess my skills, I met a front-of-house manager, Art, in-person. The interview began with standard questions about my experience and availability, but I was shocked when Art asked, "What does your citizenship status look like?" As a Canadian born and raised in Montreal and living in Toronto, this question felt irrelevant and discriminatory, especially given my clear qualifications and clear status. After confirming my citizenship, the interview was rushed, and I wasn't invited to demonstrate my barista skills as promised over the phone by Alla. A week later, Alla texted a generic rejection, claiming I lacked experience and they chose another candidate, which felt untrue with nearly a decade in the role. When I raised concerns about the citizenship question, I got no reply. This experience suggests Le Beau Lab may engage in hiring practices that disadvantage Canadian workers. I filed a Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario complaint but withdrew recently it for personal reasons. Le Beau Lab should train staff on fair hiring to prevent such incidents. This was a disappointing experience. I was also a former customer. The hiring practices I experienced suggest Le Beau Lab may favour candidates in ways that sideline qualified Canadian workers, exacerbating job competition in the context of Canada's immigration challenges and threatening local economic stability. Total shame.

Treat yo' self to some croissants @ Le Beau Went on a weekday when there was no line, it can get busy on the weekends so I've heard. Has a takeout sort of Ambiance - not really somewhere I'll choose to sit at. Here are the croissants I got: Raspberry - the jam inside it is SO GOOD Nutella - YUM Coffee - my fav! Roche - like the chocolate, hints of crunchiness in the cream! Buy 6 and it's tax-free!

Such a cute quaint cafe like in Paris. The croissants are so big and crispy and flaky. They're amazing. And they are made fresh daily. Not frozen. Each week they change it up so it makes you go back. Service was quick. Go early before the goods are sold out.

My friends have been raving about Le Beau so I was pleased to randomly have stumbled across this on my way somewhere. I stopped in for a quick bite on a early afternoon. It was fairly busy. Firstly, the ambiance is absolutely lovely and so were the staff. She quickly cleaned up a table for myself and gave her recommendations on what I should try. I got the latte which was 5/5. I also tried the mushroom pastry, each bite was delicious! It was fresh and light but also very decadent at the same time. Overall, very satisfied, for a moment I was transported elsewhere, I simply just enjoyed my surroundings and that warm cup of beverage.

Finally got a chance to try these beautiful pastries. Visited on a weekday to avoid lines and disappointment of items being sold out during the weekends. Upon arriving, the shop had a small line up inside and the glass case was fully stocked. I ordered a box of 6, milk choco/hazelnut croissant, pistachio cream croissant, artichoke and cheese danish, mushroom Danish, kouign Amann,mango/passion fruit Danish. My favs were the kouign Amann and mushroom danish.

3.5 Haven't been to Le Beau in a while, so I decided to venture in to try the croissants. Came on a weekday afternoon, no lines thankfully and plenty of croissants available to order. Decided to try out the classic plain croissants - they look absolutely amazing. Nice shatter and texture. $4.5 for 1 croissant which is in line with other Toronto croissant spots. But in this economy definitely pricier. Le Beau's location is a bit out of the way so I'm not sure how frequently I would go in.

Le Beau is a petite yet popular Croissanterie under whose purview is Executive Pastry Chef Olga Spivak. Spivak trained at the École Nationale Supérieure de la Pâtisserie by Alain Ducasse and worked at a renowned patisserie in Paris under the guidance of a Meilleur Ouvrier de France (MOF). That's some legit street credibility, in the company of the crème de la crème of the pastry world. Inside this lofty and peach-walled minimalist café is where things of beauty are crafted. I've heard that this place is crammed with lines of hungry patrons on the weekends. To pair with your choice of pastry, they serve Peruvian varietal coffee or espresso-based bevies. Turbo Espresso medium-dark roast, and organic Swiss Water Decaf) Central and South American coffee beans from Propeller Coffee Co. are also sold here. I came in for the Pain au chocolat, it was sold out and they have limit of 4 butter croissants per customer. Their kouign amann are delightful. Dry Lavender bouquets are also sold here.

Ho. Lee. Crap. If you haven't had Le Beau, you haven't had the best croissants you've ever had in your life. These are right up there competing for the best things I have ever put in my mouth. Had the Creme Brûlée croissant and the chocolate espresso roll and these are I-think-I-need-to-change-my-pants bites of sumptuous goodness. And the staff is super friendly. And they have pretty damn good coffee. Go. Go now.

Le Beau was such a dream! Finally got a chance to visit and thankfully it wasn't after their usual 1pm sell out hour. The side street surrounding Le Beau is pretty chaotic just an FYI. I was probably third person outside in line around 10am. Inside was a bit crowded if there were groups waiting together. The door can be heavy and swings back fast so be careful if you happen to be holding the door. Prices range from $6.50+ for the sweet pastries. The prices are steep but understandable for their size and quality of ingredients. I ordered 8 different types of pastries but got a chance to try 6 of them. The affogato crois was my favourite. Guava cream was a close second. The danish tarts were great. They open until 5pm but do try to visit early in the morning.

So I've seen this place on Yelp lists and on my social media feeds and knew at some point I had to check it out. Le Beau is located in the east end of Toronto, close to the DVP entrance and past George Brown's College's downtown campus. My friend and I arrived shortly after 9 as I told her the night before I wanted some croissants after being in India for 2 weeks. Shoutout to Lydia! They had a short lineup out the door and my only gripe was that customers waiting in line were waiting at a table before they purchased food (super annoying when they have limited spots) Friend ordered croissants and a lavender latte. I got a drip coffee with milk and sugar and 4 croissants to take home, along with a butter croissant to enjoy there. After getting served and holding our drinks there were no seats available due to multiple parties holding seats Food review: I ordered 2 butter croissants (4.5 each), a pain au chocolat (6?), a raspberry croissant (6.5), roche croissant and a coffee. My total came to $37 Pricy I know but hear me out. Their croissants had the real crunch and the flakiness I've only dreamed of having. Butter croissants were big, you could see the texture and it damn well didn't deflate after the first bite. I felt like the price was justified considering inflation and cost of butter skyrocketing. Note: I do enjoy croissants a lot. This birthday I might even ask for it instead of a durian cake lol Pain au chocolat was good but I felt like it lacked chocolate. Traditionally I know, it's 2 sticks of excellent dark chocolate but you needed a magnifying glass to see where the chocolate was. Same great flakiness and layering as the beurre croissant but maybe skip to try a flavoured croissant. Raspberry croissant was super enjoyable because the tartness of the filling balanced out the heavy butter. Roche was a decadent dessert and probably the sweetest of my picks. Definitely coming back when I have disposable income to spend again. Service was rly nice but docking points as 1) i felt like the person taking my croissant order was a smidge annoyed about my decision paralysis, 2) I think they need to do something about people waiting without ordering, or use the full area towards the washroom as seating; add a few 2 person tables and a lamp or two, I'm sure someone would still sit there.

After so many attempts to try this bakery, I was finally able to this morning! I was expecting a huge lineup outside their store but it wasn't as bad (I went around 10am?) it's not a big cafe but super clean with a few tables and a beautiful baked goods display. The staff were ok in terms of customer servicing... the lady at the register was the most polite and friendly one of all. I got their butter croissant, kouign amann, and brioche brûlée (?) they were all done to perfection: croissant was fluffy, buttery, flaky. K-A was crispy on the outside, buttery and soft on the inside and with the perfect amount of sweetness. Brioche that I got was my least favourite tbh... it felt like I was eating a stale thick toast with a caramelized crust and a hint of citrus. But my husband liked it, just not my favourite. Their drip coffee was delicious and so was their butterscotch latte. Overall, I find their pricing to be a bit on the higher side however, I know they use high quality ingredients and lots of love goes into their pastries. I'll definitely be visiting this place again in the future, especially when they open their new location in the canary district.

Their butter croissant is to die for. A generous size and super light when holding it. The beautiful golden color with the perfect shape. Touching feels crispy outside, inside texture was airy and fluffy. Biting into it, I felt flaky buttery (high-quality butter) goodness spread in the mouth! It is not easy to achieve. Pistachio Cruffin was a bit disappointing. The pastry itself was great, light, fluffy, flaky - perfect. But the filling should be improved. The filling had pistachio cream and berry jam. This filling was overwhelming and killed the goodness of the pastry's buttery taste and texture. Next time, I want to try their sandwiches that use butter croissants. I may want to stay away from the sweet croissants that are ridden with overwhelmingly sweet toppings/fillings.

The croissants have the perfect crunch with a soft, chewy texture inside. The combination of vanilla and berries provides the perfect tanginess and sweetness. A delightful treat for my taste buds!

Discovered this place thanks to the line-ups outside in the morning. Their croissants are very good - buttery and flaky on the outside, delicate on the inside. In fact, all of their pastries are delicious. They also carry the French pastry Kouign-amann, which I haven't seen commonly at other patisseries. Try to avoid the morning rush by coming in a little later, towards the afternoon on a weekday.

Ok, I'm not a croissant connoisseur but was craving croissants this particular morning. Was suggested to come here and was surprised by the long line ups, and the big a** pastries displayed! I was on that "see food" diet and ended up not getting a croissant at all. Ordered this apple compte that looked like an apple fritter lol But was super delicious! Flakey shell and filled with generous amounts of apples! Also ordered the swiss cheese and ham croissant and MY GOSH THIS WAS BIG!!! The layers of flakeyness was endless! Will for sure visit again!! Wanted to try other goodies like the pistachio croissants or the croffins! lol

Just moves to the neighborhood and I've been going everyweekend. Not a good thing for my weight but a great thing for my mood. This is what I imagine croissants would like in Paris. Buttery, flakey, and filled with sweet home-made cream. I love the flavor variety. It's been a mission for me and my so to try every single flavor and we can't keep up!! Their drink menu is decent as well. Try the cardamom latte. For croissants, I love the ham and gruyere for savory and dulce de leche for sweet. I also love the banoffee pastry. Honestly, you can't go wrong. Service is as fast as it can be but expect long lines on the weekends. There are some limited seatings but they are always taken. Not much to say about the ambiance but expect buttery baked goods smell while you're there.

OMG best crossiant in the City and also soooo comparable to the best in Paris!!! Le Beau is known for their classic crossiants but they also have so many savoury and sweet options as well. when judging a crossiant we look at the flakiness, the taste of butteriness and the structure. Le Beau checks off all 3! a fav is their kougina anmia (def butchered the spelling lol) sweet but flaky on the inside!!! another is their balasamic mushroom. omg to die for!!! but all of them are amazing, you really cant go wrong with whichever one u choose!! go early though, they are only open wed- sundays and crossiants are usually sold out by 1 pm!! also be prepared to wait in line.. but trust me, its worth it!!

Le Beau is a bakery located near Dundas St E./River St. They opened about a year ago. I had gone to try Le Beau about a year ago where I had their coffee and their dessert tarts. The interior of the shop is minimal but feminine at the same time with light pastel pink walls and lots of big windows for natural light. Cases of pastries catch your attention when you enter. I went by Le Beau recently on a Thursday morning as I had not been back for a while. I had heard good things about their pastries and croissants. They do run out so it is best to visit the bakery earlier in the day rather than later. In terms of pastries, I got a variety of croissants and danishes. All of them were so flaky, light and delicious. I think the favourite had to be the savoury ham and brie danish I ordered though. The components of the danish worked so well together as there was also some dijon mustard that blended the ingredients together. Overall, one of the best places for croissants in the city!! Definitely do check them out if you can!

Le Beau is a lovely small place, serving aesthetically pleasing croissants, along with a small assortment of other baked goods. The pastries are always fresh and tasty, and the unique flavours definitely add a Western spin to the iconic French croissant. I personally would not say these are out of this world or life changing, and they are a bit underwhelming compared to the real French version. There was nothing really outstanding about the croissants or brioches, other than their superb presentation, and I feel Le Beau is comparable to most other local patisseries in Toronto. Social media and food bloggers definitely gave this place a boost of excitement and attention, though I was personally left in a state of indifference. In conclusion, I would surely stop here again if ever passing by, but I would not make a trip for it.

Come early if you want to snag your favourites before they sell out! & prepare to wait in line! I visited le beau with my friends on a Sunday & by the time we got there (around noon) a few items we've been eyeing sold out! However there was still quite a big selection to choose from. I got a box of 6 items; pistachio cream croissant, affogato/hazelnut croissant, banoffe croissant tart, mango passion fruit danish, chocolate/espresso scroll, & the chocolate kouign amann. I was so impressed by the variety of interesting & likeable flavours & seriously wanted to get 1 of each. But I would say after trying all the 6 I got my favourites & def would recommend are the croissants! Don't let pictures fool you the size of these croissants are no joke! They're bigger than my stretched out hands! But I loved everything about the croissants. Seriously you can tell & taste the finesse & attention to detail. The croissant recipe is CHEFS KISS!! Their croissants have so many flakey layers & is super light & airy. On top of that theres a gooey surprise inside waiting for you as you eat it (depending on what flavour you choose; for me it was a pistachio filling & a hazelnut affogato filling that was DELISH) I would say one thing they can improve on is placement of my pastries. I got 6 & the girl who was helping me crammed my pastries & got the presentation all messed up. I can't help but be a little frustrated with that since I'm a picture nazi. Camera eats first!! Even with the hype & lines surrounding le beau they don't compromise on the quality & consistency. I will def be back! This place is a must go if you're a pastry fan like me!

Le Beau is a little crossiant store located in downtown Toronto. I picked up a Pitaschio cream crois and Dulce De Leche crois for take out. I love the texture of both crossiants. The pitaschio cream is creamy. Both are very good and recommended to other people. There are lots of crossiant places in Toronto area, but this does stand out from most of the places.

I may not have a lot of people agree with me on this review but I thought the croissant I had was dry, didn't have that yummy butter taste and the filing was extremely limited. For them to charge $6.50 for this is pretty outrageous. No value for money at all. Agreed the place looks pristine and their croissants are big in size but the look of the cafe and size can only go so far. Save your money and go to Saint Lawrence market and get two chocolate croissants for this price or Hazukido because you can actually taste the butter.

I started working out next door to Le Beau and finally decided to try it after 8 weeks of smelling its buttery wares on class. I thought I wouldn't be impressed because people in this city just seem to like line ups for the hell of it, but turns out it IS tasty. For the record this review is just for their vegetarian savory danish-- artichoke and cheese to be exact. This alone was a nice surprise, I don't think I've ever seen an artichoke danish and since I do love artichoke, I was excited. Aaaaaand as hinted, the danish lived up to the hype. First off the danish itself was as good as I'd hoped, it was also sweetened, which i didn't expect but also didn't mind. It was actually an meat contrast with the savouriness of the artichoke and cheese. If artichoke is not your thing, other savoury options include mushroom which looks like it packs a lot of umami, and for meat eaters I saw some intriguing options like Montreal smoked meat, Cuban danish (pickles and ham), potato bacon bechermel, and a strangely Asian-bun-style flavour, hotdog and chive... All in all, if you like French baking this is a worthy place to try. Also, these croissants are a bit pricier than other favourites around town ($5.50-$6), and at first I was meh about that, but then I realized a bubble tea costs at least that much and sometimes more, and this is definitely more work... Finally, don't bother lining up. I see lines during my weekend workouts before the place even opens, but it's pretty clear after class---about an hour afterwards, and if you like savoury there's still more than enough to choose from.

Amazing pastries. Wish it were open all week! Great selection of both sweet and savory pastries to choose from. Intended on only purchasing one or two and walked out with a whole box. No regrets! It's also really rare to find places that make pastries as beautifully as they do here. They even have kouign amann which is awesome. Everything i tried was amazing. Also tried the smoked salmon sandwich which also tasted great! Totally worth trying and if you can try your best to get there early !

It seems like there are some polarizing feelings toward Le Beau. And I can sort of understand the frustration. The advertised vibe you get from the pictures and articles is a serene and cozy patisserie, where you can have a magnificent croissant with a cappuccino, and live out your Parisian dream. However, because of the immense hype and attraction, it's almost as chaotic as a weekend farmers market. I passed by Le Beau a few times on weekends and there's always a line up. Usually by the afternoon the lines dissipate, but they are guaranteed sold out by then (I checked). Today I got in line at 9:15, and waited for about 10 minutes. It moved pretty quickly (technically no one cut the line... except only the 3 people who joined their two friends ahead of me. Jerk move, but not the fault of the business.) There was a sign outside the store that their coffees are not available - kind of annoying, but ok. I imagine the wait would be much longer if people were also ordering coffee drinks. As I got closer, I noticed their menu, which was incredible; combinations I have never even dreamed of. As soon as I got in, it was pretty much ready to order. I didn't want to hold up the line, but it really is overwhelming to narrow down your choices. It's not like you are going to try two, and come back tomorrow at 9 am to line up for 10 minutes again. So I felt like I had to grab a few. Thankfully I was sharing with my family, so buying 6 croissants ($30) made sense, and we all tried them over coffee (at home). Now let;s get real.. - The butter croissants + pain au chocolat were very good. I can understand why people are commenting on the buttery flavour, there's something not quite there (minor). - The almond croissant was delicious! - The chocolate-orange scroll + kouign amann were on the sweeter side, but they were probably my favourite. They were different, and the flavour combinations were exquisite! Overall, the croissants are a little well-cooked, which I personally love, but some may not. I wonder if their main dough is a bit "milder" in flavour to showcase the special flavour combinations? I am just speculating. I have attempted making croissant and they are not easy. Le Beau is a labour of love, and you can taste it. In conclusion... Plan ahead; it's definitely worth a try. Go for the croissants, not the illusion of the "experience".

Highly recommended fr their French pastries as of like I went to Parisian shop and the cappuccino tastes so good overall very nice !

Easily some of the best pastries in all of Toronto. Le Beau occupies an unassuming space in the middle of Regent Park- you'd never know it was there without searching for it. They sell out of croissants especially by mid-day EVERY day. I got here around noon on a Sunday and managed to score a mango/passionfruit danish. These pastries are not only a work of art, but are so, so delicious and flakey. I'm close to Le Beau so I can't wait to try more.

Alright this is my favourite croissant in the city right now. Coffee is solid too. 2 decades in the city where Bonjour Brioche used to be my favourite, lived through the Rahier, Thabors, and before it was called that on any Pleasant. Mon K is alright. Pain Perdu was good too but this is my current fav.

Still my #1 fav bakery in the city. The prices are slowly creeping up but what isn't these days. They are constantly coming up croissant flavours, check their Instagram for the daily menu. Get their quick as they sell out. Their kouign amann use to be my fav but I think they changed their recipe recently, so it's a touch dry now. I still go back for it though! Good lattes. Great service.

Friends, if you haven't try Le Beau, you're gonna regret it. It was phenomenal!! I wish I can start every day with some Le Beau's Latte and croissants. I waited for months to try it out, FINALLY crossed it of from my list! I came there around 12pm, waited for 20 mins to get in, but it's all worth it. I couldn't leave with only one croissant, so I decided to get a box of this beautiful goodies * Cadeau Danish - I was eyeing on their pistachio cream, and that was the only one left!! I am so glad to tried it!! I mean look at that, isn't it a work of art? The pistachio cream and the raspberry go well perfectly. A must!! (12/10) * Hazelnut Affogato Croissant - I'd say this is the BEST croissant I've ever had! From the size, texture, and taste; PERFECTION It is huge compared to other croissants, with flaky shell while soft and airy inside. Super light and not greasy at all. The hazelnut affogato cream is also ftw. I could not say less about this croissant it is love at the first bite. Tips: cut it into half, for best way to enjoy the cream fillings in every bite. (12/10) * Coffee Gianduja Croissant - I like the sweet glazed on the outer layer of it, but the filling is a bit sweet for me. A cup of coffee will balance it out (7/10) * Blueberry Cheesecake Croissant - If you love blueberry cheesecake, this is for you! The cream fillings is rich. (8/10) TIPS BEFORE YOUR VISIT!! Come early before they are sold out‼ There are more selection to choose from, AND it also means that it will be harder for you to decide I was actually going for the pistachio cruffins, the Drop (earl grey), pistachio croissant, butter croissant, and kouign amann but I was too late.

For a place that has lines that are 45 min long (b/c of COVID and social distancing), i'm surprised how little number of reviews there are for this shop. Le Beau is THE place to go to for croissants. Yes, there's little pebbles. Yes there's Hazukido. Yes there's butter baker. But none of those beat out Le Beau. Le Beau has specials on the weekends (check out their instagram for the menu on the morning of) and go EARLY. Like get there 15 min before their opening if you want to guarantee the full selection. They usually sell out of flavors and choices by 1pm! I would talk about what I like here but for once, I don't want to be biased in the flavors. Anything you get here is going to be delicious - meaning all flavors of the croissant or the flavor-of-the-day cruffin. You literally cannot go wrong. They even have kouign amann ice creams for the summer! Check their instagram for the latest offerings but i promise you won't regret it (although I will b/c now I just added X min to the line b/c you're also going to be lining up now!)
